I carry concealed all the time, but I'm hesitant when it comes to dating. My friends/family are comfortable with guns but how do you handle people you are potentially dating for the first time? Would you recommend telling them upfront (potentially scaring them), hide the fact you are carrying (risk fact you are carrying), or not carry at all? I don't see people discussing this often but for some reason I wonder what the etiquette is.
I'd think many women here (blue state) would be "scared" to know or find out their date (guy they barely know) is carrying. So far, I choose not to carry, but it might be silly of me?

Totally understand where you're coming from! When I met my fiancé (a gun owner and concealed carrier), I was 100% anti-gun... Didn't want to look at them, see them, or be in the same room as them. When we first started dating, he didn't mention he was carrying when we would go out in public. It wasn't until it got more serious (we trusted each other enough to hang out at our houses) that he made me aware that he had guns. Regardless of how I felt, he continued to carry and reminded me that it was for my safety and the safety of people around him. At the end of the day, I had to understand that was his choice. And as a woman, it made me feel good that he wanted to keep me safe! Even as an anti-gun thinker.
All in all, out of your options, I would 100% still carry. Be prepared and vigilant! Like I said, my fiancé did. But, I wouldn't tell them until you think it's something that might get more serious. Definitely not a first date conversation! If you're concealing correctly, they won't have any idea! :-)
Feel free to head over to my channel and watch my anti-gun to pro-gun video! There might me some information that could be helpful to you!

I should say, I live in a blue state too. That was me before! Terrified of guns. But, here I am now! Education is key!
