Trains at Manchester Piccadilly, WCML, 18/01/2024

A beautiful Thursday evening spent trainspotting at Manchester Piccadilly Station.
With the weather on this day being absolutely gorgeous, it felt like a good opportunity to get out and capture some traffic around Piccadilly Station.
A good variety of passenger services coming and going during my hour and a half visit. Some notable appearances include the very colourful Avanti West Coast Climate Pendolino numbered 390121, and a Transport for Wales Mk4 set with a Class 67 locomotive and ex-Grand Central Mk4 coaching stock.
Other regular appearances include a TfW Class 197, Northern Rail 150s, 156s, 195s, 323s and 331s, as well as EMR regional services operated with 170s and 158s. We also see the odd Transpennine service operated with 185s and a ‘Nova 2’ Class 397 is also seen.
