he does with every release. when the first album came out and they started performing he sounded like the record as he does with every album to the point where he doesn’t sound like the previous album, after that.
Evan Phillips yeah the first two albums his voice was the same. they were only a year apart tho. the others are two years and then 5. unless you count the last shadow puppets which was 3 years after the last AM record before tbhc
So proud to have been following Monkeys since 2005, since the myspace days, when we used to read fanzines and music magazines, when youtube was literally nothing, when we were going to our local cd store to listen to something new, discover a new band... Those were the days!
Was lucky enough to see this great band in a PUB in Nottingham before they really took off. Sounds cliche now but you don't often see an entire pub of people watch a band in absolute amazement. Most of the time you see people talking amongst themselves or laughing and joking etc. It was ELECTRIFYING to say the very least. Obviously I didn't know they would become one of the best bands in the world but I'm not surprised at all.
@@azazaelmaher6468 Well, you wanted to know what I consider to be rock'n'roll, and I've already given you a couple of examples. For me, all of their songs are perfect examples of what rock'n'roll is.
I remember this performance like it happened yesterday, they looked like they all left from work had a whisky then walked over to the show uninvited and kicked ass !!!!!!!!!!!
These guys sound cool I hope they write an album about a hotel on the moon in the future
so im from the future and your very specific wish was granted
Well then I wish he covering some song while dressing like a Male-hooker.
That sounds ridiculous

i wasnt born
I'm jealous but not at the same time
Good old days
Before their first album released, I was so so excited to listen to their rough but great demos at my school dormitory room in Japan.
I’m jealous because in 2005 I was just 2 years old
Alex Turner is the Son of my Language teacher Mrs Turner when I was at school!
Was she alright
did she look good on the dancefloor?
I think his mother's name is Penny. Was your teacher's name Penny?
@@ΣταύροςΚατσιούρης yes she was Called Penny Turner. She taught German language.

That was certainly a different age not only for the Monkeys, but also for trousers.

they are already huge :))

This has to be one or not their first major TV appearances. I wonder if they knew they'd become legends at this point...
Wow. Nice name, man. I love Chilli peppers too

Best version online for me - what an intro… what a drop into that guitar. Don’t want it to end.. awesome energy
It would be great these guys write a song about a mirrorball or a car someday
An anthem of British youth
from their oldest jools performance their newest is just phenomenal, just a bunch of class musicians
For some reason Matt being a literal baby here sends me more than anything else in this video
I'm an old git a punk in 77.

They need to return with this sound. Passion, energy and guitar distortion
Good song i love old arctic monkeys, its ok they move on but these songs always bring me joy they still feel fresh after like 15 years
I can see a brilliant future for these lads
R\TA please shut up
And why is that
This is only one of their masterpieces. Imagine being that good.
it’s sad that i didn’t know them from the beginning, but it’s actually understandable, cause i was like 1 year old at the time
This song sound as good now as it did then!!
ok but like the high quality of this IS immaculate
My mate who was doing careers advice at Barnsley College advised them to get a skill like welding. They probably need that now. Good advice Gus!
I wish the monkeys still sounded like this.
Aww they were so young ♡
I’m here after listening to them play this song live on BBC 1 and I was not ready for how much faster this version is
I would never imagine this alex chilling at a hotel on the moon
Mate of mine saw them play a gig in Brighton in 2005 and the ticket cost 8 pounds! 😂
Finally i got to watch the hd version
that spots on alex's face... haha time flies!
Classic arctic monkeys. 🥰
I know it's stupid but if Alex and Matt get over acne, I can do it too!!!!
If you eat ice cream, try cutting it off completely. It does wonders for your skin.
Same..sadly i have acne scars tho that sucks
Well the problem is they can afford expensive treatments.. the rest of us will have to make do with dietary restrictions and sunscreen I guess
Tune 📀
