    Coral, Coral everywhere, yet not enough to burn. This gameplay showcase will give you an idea of how the preset AC IB-C03: HAL 826 plays in Armored Core VI, at least in PvE, through a mixture of missions and Arena battles.

    IB-C03: HAL 826 is a member of the "Ibis series", a select group of war machines built by the Rubicon Research Institute to stave off a Coral Collapse should it ever come to pass. IB-C03 was unique in many ways: it was the only member of the Ibis series to not be automated, it was the only one to require a pilot, and it was the only member that was an Armored Core.
    51-201 W is a secret program developed by ALLMIND to research the capabilities of the IB-C03 and its only known pilot: Handler Walter. Considering Walter to be the greatest threat to their plans, ALLMIND uses the simulation to prepare for what it considers a necessary showdown.
    - The preset AC IB-C03: HAL 826 shown in the video is unlocked by defeating δ-2 51-201 W in the Analysis Arena, available from your third playthrough onwards, having completed both previous endings. -
    Hoo boy, a toughie. There's no denying the awesome firepower of the IB-C03, which can burn through just about anything it can get its hands on. The strength of its weapons (I believe) is boosted by the NGI 000 generator, while also boosting the strength of the NGI-028 Coral shield, making it one of the best bulwarks of damage in the game. These strengths more or less offset its average mobility for a middleweight AC.
    The problems lie in application: this is a hard mech to play well. All three weapons have charged versions ( two in the case of the WLT 011) which require significant finesse to use properly but is necessary to achieve the full potential of the IB-C03. Coupled with the unique yet difficult playstyle of the Coral generators "all or nothing" approach and you'll start off by running out of energy at the worst possible times.
    Ultimately, this AC lives up to its rep as a final boss enemy, with some of the highest damage output of anything in the game. But it will require a fair amount of practice to achieve those heights consistently. A solid recommendation, but not for beginners.
    | This is by no means a "guide" to show you how to play the AC; I'm sure there are far better players than me who can do more with these mechs. I just want to show off some cool mechs in the style of @bansheent-d Armored Core For Answer videos.
    | Recorded on PS5. Played on Patch 1.02. (NOTE: In order to see a preset AC in the Assembly or Paint tabs of the garage: make sure to first enter the Paint tab, saying "Yes" to removing the edit lock. Then back out of the Paint tab, making sure to "Discard" changes and not save. Now, re-enter the Paint tab and you can see the exact colours of the preset AC! (however, decals will not transfer over.))

      I think the "screaming" sound might be intentional, as you do have to consume living Coral to trigger it...

      Legit. Also with any coral weapon, as long as it is charged up, it has some subtle scream vibe to it. Most especially Walters giga laser and the oscillator.

    Interesting going for King first at the damn. I always find a slow fight against King with Chartreuse joining is worse than the other way around.

      It depends on your build. If you can wipe King fast enough like in the video, chartreuse is by far the easier one to kill before Raven joins. That said, if you can’t get past the scutum, you have to take Chartreuse and hope you can beat King just in time, or risk fighting a true 3v1, which is almost unwinnable, as I’m sure you know already.

    So what's the general gameplay strategy when using the Coral weapons? When would be the best times to use charged attacks or just standard fire?

      I find the Oscillator to be much better with its charged attacks rather than its normal ones; if you want to use a quick-firing Coral melee weapon then use the Redshift.
      The Coral Missile Launcher just had its charged missile nerfed quite badly, but I would still imagine its the way when fighting bosses or other larger enemies. And charging the Coral Rifle all the way is definitely not recommended except for the memes: stick to the first level of charge or use its normal fire to clear adds/put on pressure.
      Ultimately though I'm not really the guy to go to for weapon advice; I've barely played with the Coral weapons outside of this video! I just put on preset showcases - there are much better players out there with far more experience, so I would look out for them.

      In my humble opinion, treat it like a more powerful plasma rifle with less AoE. Use both normal shots and 1st stage charge shots to apply pressure to opponents. Go for 2nd stage charges ONLY when you FORETELL a big opening is coming. If you're using Coral missile and oscillator, it'd be easier to create said openings.

      The second charge level of the coral rifle shreds balteus shields, and since balteus has to reorient itself every time it moves, you can get a full charge off. It’s one of the most reliable ways I’ve found to beat him easily without packing bubble blasters.

    great job only issue is u didnt use the shield as much as it shouldve couldve helped alot with those ballistic shells

      True, but as I mentioned in the description, this is a hard mech to play properly; I was struggling just to time my charged attacks! I've improved a fair amount since this video, and understand better how to use shields, but this is still one of the hardest presets to pilot in the game.

    armored core but 621 doesnt have enough COAMS to get an AC so 621 just start out with Walter's instead

      I will be getting to them all in time! :) At the moment I'm enjoying going out of my way to make consecutive videos where the ACs in question have practically nothing to do with each other, for variety's sake. It also allows me to sprinkle more "important" or "famous" ACs throughout the playlist instead of getting all the popular ones out of the way first.
      But, while I'm not taking requests anymore, I will definitely keep in mind ACs that I know people want to see when taking the next few videos into account!
