I was wondering with so many putts coming up just short, at what stage is it worth making sure you get passed the hole and then start to bring the distance backwards (IFYKWIM) - short putts are never going in 🤓👍🏻 some really good scoring being missed 😳
We were once playing at Telford Golf Club & had a bit of a cow incident. Woke up on our second day & there were cows everywhere. Eating pot plants on the patio, stood in the car park & having a good munch on the practice area. Turned out they had broken out of a field and made there way onto the course. Spoke to the Pro and he said we were fine to go out as they weren't & hadn't been on the course itself. Turns out he wasn't been entirely truthful. Reading putts when you have a large pile of cow sh*t on your line isn't easy. 🐄 🐄 🐄

When Paul is playing on the bus tour, what is his mental approach to the game? Does he play it like a practice round, just for fun round or a proper competition round? Seeing him fly the green on 5 seems a bit agressive of a shot during competition.
Don’t know if you mention this later but there is a painting of Minchinhampton Old Course hanging in the club house of St Andrews. It depicts ladies playing on the course in hooped skirts as it was one of the first if not the first course to allow women to play golf.
As an aside you should also look to do a trip to Kington. Englands heigest golf course. Another old style course with rutted fairways; uneven lies and grazing sheep. Great risk reward drivable Par 4 18th 👍🏼
How would a "Common ground " golf course insure itself from legal action when there are people walking everywhere?? Usually there are legalities when golfers register for a round of golf but with people not going through the clubhouse to walk the grounds I would think incidents that happen with walk-ons would be on shaky ground.

The club are only allowed to fence off a certain number at a time so generally do the greens that are likely to be most at risk of damage by the resident livestock.

Find these videos very ‘clicky’. If you don’t watch them all the time it’s hard to jump in and find out what’s going on. Probably explains the low subscriber count. Maybe try and mix it up with less long course vlogs and more 3 hole challenges (that someone can just watch without having to watch for the full five days), instruction and tip videos and even some club reviews. It’s a pity really as I was reading looking forward to your content when you left Crossfield but it’s basically the muppets on a different channel. Just doesn’t work for me.

This is some of the best golf content on UA-cam, because it is so relatable whilst showing some good golf and interesting courses (maybe less so to people of non-UK background, who may not get some of the jokes and references). If you find them 'cliquey', perhaps you should watch more of them to become part of the 'in crowd'.

How high is it ? Alston Golf Club in Cumbria must be pretty high up and Allendale in Northumberland must be close to 1000ft.
Just had a look and Alston Golf Club is higher at 1400ft to Kington at 1200ft.
