2019 has been a fantastic year for books, especially for YA in my opinion. I also enjoy the more hard-hitting YA stories--my favourite of the year is On the Come Up by Angie Thomas 😄

I am a new subscriber, but have you read The Fever King by Victoria Lee? Have you heard of it? It's a YA but very intense and heavy (deals with racism, xenophobia, slut shaming, substance abuse, domestic violence, etc). I personally really related to the book and felt it is very intersectional since the main character is a bisexual person of color, who is the son of immigrants. The book relates heavily to U.S. politics today even though it is set a post-apocalyptic future and I felt there was a lot of of plot and character development. I am interested in your thoughts. I can talk about it forever. Even one of my criticisms of the book, which is that the main character is to stubborn, makes sense once you learn the ending. I just liked it overall a lot and felt like it stands out compared to other YA. Loved the video and can't want to read some of the books!
Gigi Spencer I also didn’t like it. The twists did not work for me at all. I felt like the premise of the book was incredibly fascinating and the execution was just lacking.
I don’t know if you have read any of K.A Tucker’s books but I would really love to hear your opinion on her. Maybe you could read Burying Water or one of her other books for one of your videos.

I simply ment do you read on websites like wattpad, tapas, inkitt, smashwords, webnovel, wuxiaworld any online platform with novels by authors where you may not necessarily find an in print physical copy of a novel by that author before. I meant non traditionally published novels.
