That "mission complete" at the end was so haunting. The sound design is perfect. What a great trailer and I cannot wait for its release in August!
Ok.. this is the coolest mech "anything" I've ever seen. I'm SO hyped for this.. It kind of reminds me of a bleak futuristic 90s anime.. but with a holllywood level CG budget that I never thought would be possible to see. Unreal. THANK YOU FROMSOFT.

FromSoftware really does make the best cinematic trailers. Even if you’ve never played Armored Core before, this trailer can get you hyped to play this. It’s been so long, they could have just named it Armored Core: Fires of Rubicon to welcome new players. The 6 might put some people off, but I hope not. These are the best mech games ever made.

You can see the reference on their past game's opening sequence:
-the AC is rushing at high speed to the objective
-opening up with missile barrage
-facing up against huge mech
-lose the arm weapon
-finishing up with using their trump card (which also have bluish colored tone)

Same for me, played AC2 as a kid on PS2 and definitely got into it at some point, especially rising the top 100 in the arena was fun. After the extraordinary rise of Fromsoft over the years and becoming my favorite developer with Souls-formula games I'm really interested what they will and can do with a new entry in Armored Core now.
the only Armored Core i played was on the PS1 demo Disc . But this is Day 1 for me

Only bad FromSoft game in the past 12-13 years was Dark Souls 2. Everything including the armored cores were absolute bangers!

Fromsoft have proven themselves time and time again through the passion they put into their games. They don't have to trick us with fomo mechanics and nostalgia baiting or exploit us with predatory monetisation.
They don't need habit psychologists, celebrities and constant advertising. The outstanding quality of what they create is what makes people buy their games and that's all that needs to be said.
buddy the only game people bought from these guys was Elden Ring and that was only cause of trends not notice how nobody cares about This game now

the way this works, is Casuals jump on any train all together and make anything Trend when they're bored or looking for attention that's how it works.

@@chadbear8759 Usually I've been purchasing digital games on steam, but as for this title, since it is really special to me. I'll be definitely getting a physical and digital copy for this one. Physical for collection and the digital to play. Since I don't have a disc player on my PC lol
@captain_morgan That was a closed network test if I remember correctly. They showed us gameplay of AC. In my eyes it is clear what we can expect. There is no need for a demo especially because it isn't a new IP.

I love how the Raven gets up close and personal with that boss and jams the gatling gun up in there; Here, EAT THIS!
I'm not ashamed to say this trailer brought a tear to my eye. For me, Fromsoft has created an atmosphere and tone which draws me in, even with how little has been revealed.
In particular, when the AC rams it's chaingun into the huge MT, the camera angle changes to the face of the AC and you can see the AC lean in defiantly, like we see in other forms of media when two characters come face to face. This strikes me as very human and like I said it makes me unexpectedly emotional.
This will be a game to be remembered.. I’m sure of it.

As a kid I remember begging my Dad to buy me AC1 after playing the demo on a Playstation Underground disc, As a teenager I beat AC For Answer, and Now at 30 years old this Raven is hopping into the cockpit once more.

@@alancarlosmadamba8081 It's not, but I think you'll enjoy this one. Just give it a try, It is another FromSoftware game after all and they've been delivered back to back. The "core" element of this game is you could customize a lot of different builds for many different type of gameplay styles. Just like how you could do in the soulsborne series, but more because you're a "mech." You could boost/dash around in 3 dimension.

From Software has been gone for years, so I understand if they decide to put ester eggs relating to their newer games.
But I really want to see the ghosts of White Glint, 9 Ball, and Zinaida in this game. I don't even need blatant tips of the hat to anything specific, but I just want to see 4Answer or The Last Raven get the slightest glimmer of acknowledgment.

So it looks like the protagonist is essentially a vegetable and he’s either remotely piloting it or they transferred his consciousness to the mech? It’s a very dark premise, fit for a Fromsoft game. Looking forward to this one.
Kind of like a next pilot from armored core 4. Idk if their using the ams system but it most likely they are.

I’m preordering it cause it’s 3 days after my birthday
I've been so stoked for this game since its announcement. This trailer is incredible. But in a way, it's kind of scaring me for what's to come. I'm sure the tone of the game will match this--most armored cores despite cold, military-minded characters talking between/during missions, have been about the fun of piloting a mech--but still. . .I'm nervous lol. I might not be ready for this bleak stuff.
There is silly stuff in AC series like one pilot obsessed with number 1 so much that he would prefeer to be placed 11th place inn the arena bcs it has twices 1 lol

Sooooo… are they downloading the pilots into the mechs directly? Or are they just bringing our character back to life from the brink of death over and over because they’re not done with us yet? Either way, very excited to find out!
Looks like the former since the AC that's hooked up isn't even fully assembled. Just trying to see if they can upload the mind into an operable Core/chassis
I believe they're linking/connecting human with mech by using the coral substances. The term they used "augmented human C4-621" by the operating system confirms it. I also believe that also has the connection in the gameplay trailer at the end, when she said, " Let's see how far they can fly... on borrowed wings." Anyways, I can't wait to play another AC game!
I think we're being uploaded, and augmented humans are the ACs themselves. The body is not breathing by the end of the trailer and they're "waking us up" thats why the AC lights up at the end.
I just hope it aint some long distance mind control thing cuz that woyld be lame af, we need to be truly inside that mech, by cockpit, implants or upload, otherwise it wont be as fun.

Correct. This was the "easy mode" in classic playstation 1 AC if you went too far into debt and failed too many missions, you were modified against your will to be a better pilot (gaining new abilities).
