I’ve had my 2008 Saturn Aura XE 3.5 V6 since high school - just under 12 years now. Got it when it had 66,249 miles on it and now it has 107,000 miles on it. It’s been fantastic - no rust on it and still drive great! A sports sedan in disguise, never had any complaints about the driving dynamics or power delivery. Only complaint is it’s never driven well in the winter. I’ve put a custom Pioneer sound system in it, mood lights, tinted windows, chrome door handles, a rear spoiler and a little more. Highly recommend the Aura, still love driving mine after all these years! 👍🏾
Mine has 293000 on it, of course alot of work has been done. Disappointing that it sprung a coolant leak a couple weeks ago. Probably the head gasket finally going it's a bummer. Been a great car, struts and shocks will need redone by 200000. Just about every bit of major stuff I've done to it has happened after 200000.
Did you guys see the guy in the back of the pickup truck seated on his phone. It was the craziest random thing I’ve seen. 😅 it was before the Audi r8 took off.
I have the same exact car in that exact trim. Bought it for my wife. Great car! We test drove it at the dealership and where blown away by the performance. My wife loves it I also have the Aura XR 3.6l and it's even faster. The 3.5 is probably the more reliable one out of the 2 but both are faster than they look! The 3.6l is a sleeper lol.
@@rareview362 thanks for replying. You are giving me good information. I wonder if the 4 cylinder and the hybrid have the same transmission as the v6. They might be a bit different. Thanks again.
I’m 19 my last car was only transmission now I have this car with a manual option and paddle shifters I’m still learning once I get an alignment I’m going crazy
I purchased a 2008 Saturn Aura LE with the 2.4 L4 Ecotec engine way back in January of 2009 with 340 miles on the odometer, so in other words…almost brand-new. Mine went back to Saturn’s Service Center after only 1500 miles a few months later requiring a new transmission, so mine was a ‘lemon’ from the first day. Back then I heard many rumors about the 2.4 L4 Ecotec engine in all of these vehicles, and the Malibu’s that had it as well. I wonder if it was as bad for all of them, as it was for mine.
@@marioeduardoferreiraruiz I've got the 2.4 in my 2008. Sitting at 198K I've had it since 102K. It is certainly no toyota but I have no complaints on the engine. It loses about a quart of oil every 1500 miles between the leaks and consumption. Other than that I think it has another 100K in it. Only problem is the rust is going to kill the car long before that.
@@dmllr5615 Sweet, you got one of the good ones then, I really hated the ‘ecotec 2.4 L4’ after what happened to me with mine. But glad to hear someone got a good one!
Full of electrical demons though the main fuse boxes under the hood and the BCM fuse on the passenger side got a nice one for $900 dollars girl previously had threw all kinds new parts at couldn't get it to start fixed it nice I also able to get a beautiful tan one 2007 XR with 159,376K miles on super clean also for $900 fixed it now sits in my driveway also go figure

@@Demonslayer-vt9lmme to just hit 220,000 on an 07 bought with 83,000. Solid like a rock minus the typical wear and tear
THAT is low miles for a 2008 Saturn. It's also in good shape, thank you for sharing Chad Dolbier
This actually has the good 3.5 engine in it so I'd say it's a good buy based off the mileage.
yep because i bought my 07 XR back in 2015 for about the same amount of money with 3 times the miles.
the random guy at 1:45 sitting in the back of the pick up

I have this version of the Aura. V6 3.5L. it is currently at 237,000 miles.
With the Same transmission?
@@choncoconcos5912 I don't know what type of transmission aren't they all the same on this car?
@@choncoconcos5912 yes it is the same because mine was 08 too

I almost bought one of these right when they came out. They were reasonably priced and it was a simple, commuter car.
This is beautiful!!! 😍😍
Should have fixed the hydraulics on the trunk before you sold it. Thats a finger slammer right there.
I just got a 08 xr 3.6L 252hp Holly fuck it is amazing 2 tone leather beatuifil
Brown leather I have separate stero system for the back so clean for $7200
134k miles no lights 5 sheets of car fax it’s insane barley any rust behind the wheels no body damage

2009 Saturn Aura Trucking control problems
I love this
I wonder how good the one with the 2.4 engine is?

I bought a 2009 Aura from some guy last year for 3k as my daily driver. Had 170,000 and now I'm at 195,000... She Gon go soon but she still moving 💀
I see some for ~2500$ and have ~110k miles, is it worth it?
4 or 6 cylinders?
The transmission on the 6 cyl is problematic
Saturn was axed along with Pontiac and Hummer back in 2010 ish. in 2008 it was still around because i was working there at the time well part of 2008.
So I suppose you finally sold it? Too bad
$10,000 you should be ashamed of yourself i don't begrudge anyone making a profit they sell between $1,500-$ 2,300 at dealer auctions
They stop making the parts.
There are still a ton of parts out there 😂😂😂
My car had locked up and the steering wheel lost power and the brakes. 3 times over 5 years. Lock issues shaking while driving. Highway. Garbage
