when upgrading going to a 3/4 or 1 ton axle is significantly stronger, a Dana 70 is 10 3/4" ring, a GM 14bolt has a 10 1/2" ring gear, the housings are heavier. There is nothing wrong with the Ford 9" for lighter vehicles though.
6000 pounds hahaha, thats a standard landcruiser..... with standard bearings..... driving 200.000km with NO problems. got many driving 450.000km with same bearings.
Why are full float Ford 9's not more of a thing Off-road?
