I used to not like this band because they were not fast enough for me like Marduk but Rotting Christ grew on me over time and now they are my new favorite to listen to. I’ve actually listened to this demo more than the albums and I like every release they had but this demo is just so raw and evil beyond anything.
With this demo they left to play grindcore/noise and dive into hellenic BM, for me and to several underground nocturnal creatures the only true BM pioneers not the rich first world norge. Hail RC! (until Bom Serviam)

Darkthrone as far as i know began as a Death Metal act back in 1986, but didn't begin playing Black Metal until 1991 when they started recording their second album 'A Blaze in the Northern Sky'.
This is the sound that u cant create in a studio, the band just has it. That and it must be recorded with pretty shitty/semi good equpment. Gives it that special, raw and f*ing great sound. Their new songs are awsome as well, but this is the shit imo. (also prolly nostalgia :D, cd is still in the shelf here at home).
