‘If you are familiar with how the cloning glitch worked’ most people do, the thing is, is that your cloning window is smaller than the previous games. So showing that and when and where you need to reset would be great

Cool since my greenleaf save has level 54 clefable. But it's not shiny and I haven obtained Zynx even though I have poliwag. Just can't evolve it so 2100 p went to waste!!!! And I haven't even managed to LOOK for electabuzz!!!

In Crystal, to me the most important pokemon to get in the odd egg is Elekid. I don't know why the heck did the developers decided to REMOVE MAREEP in Crystal, who is one of the best pokemon in Gen 2. Electabuzz is stronger than Raichu and Jolteon. So it's either get an Elekid, trade a Mareep, or go catch that super evasive Raiku. Electric type in Gen 2 is always gonna be usefull even until the post game. So this technique is a must for me when playing.
@@chillcloak oh yeah the Goodrod Chinchou and in game trade Voltorb in Olivine city, i forgot. They're kinda late in game to appear. Lanturn is kinda decent, good health and decent coverage, dual stab, good health, covers its weakness well and spark is a good Electric move. Electrode is meh. But still, Jolteon and Electabuzz is a way better Electric type, while Feraligatr, Lapras, and Gyarados are better water type.
Genuinely confused on one part, how would you clone more than one? I’ve got one cloned but if I deposit another into the same box with it it deletes it out of existence after I reset. Would I need to put the first duplicated egg in my party & then do the process again?
I attempted to get a shiny pichu, but my brother saved the game and left me with a shiny igglybuff. But hey, it could’ve been worse. I could’ve just not received a shiny at all
Quick tip for you using an emulator if it's like mine you can save using the emulator so say when you save using the box and you mess up all you have to do is load from the emulator and resave over the file where you messed up granted you'll be restarting from when you last saved using the emulators save feature but if you simply save before each attempt you'll be ok
ok, so I forgot about this comment. Since posting the comment, I have experienced this glitch twice. Both eggs hatched just fine, no need to restart the game

A Cardboardbox I believe the hatch is determined as soon as you receive the egg meaning saving right before hatch is pointless as you would have to backtrack to when you receive the egg to get a different Pokémon.
The egg's content is generated when the egg is given to you, not when it hatches. So, in order to obtain a different Pokémon, you need to be given the egg multiple times, otherwise you're just gonna hatch the exact same Pokémon over and over again.

nope, just very very very very rare, a 1 in 8000 something chance in most games, in gen 7 a 1 in 4000 chance and in gen 5-6 u can get a shiny charm for completing national dex making it a 1 in 4000 something i think and in gen 7 u can get it just by completing the regional dex i think and that should make it 1 in 2000 chance. ultra sun and moon ultra wormholes, breeding with a shiny parent in gen 2, and this odd egg are like by far the highest shiny chances, with ultra sun and moon wormholes and odd egg being 14% chance i think and i think shiny parent in gen 2 breeding is 1 in 64 chance
No. That’s a glitchmon called the pseudo failed clone. The duplication went wrong and the game didn’t save correctly his information, making him a Glitchmon

Tangela learns ancient power at Lv. 33 in order to evolve into Tangrowth. However, Tangela does not appear in the wild in Diamond or Pearl, so you must either trade it from Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver or you can migrate one from FireRed or LeafGreen. As for Magmortor and Electivire, you CAN get their pre-evolutions in Diamond and Pearl, however you have to trade Magmar and Electabuzz while they are holding the Magmarizer and the Electirizer respectively.
No that’s not true, at the end of sentence ‘saving don’t turn off the power’ you reset. But note that the window to clone is very small compared to gold/silver so practice a bit before doing this. Also this guy should explain it better because he just shows it without giving the info and changes from the previous game. But that’s how you do it

Yes, I think you'd withdraw it then save in front of the old man and repeat the process (if I'm wrong maybe someone can correct me)
Recently managed to hatch a shiny Tyrogue on my first try. Judoka the Hitmonchan is now a permanent fixture of my team.

Only 8? You’re very lucky! I’m on 30 with Magby and have only seen 2 normal Magby. All have been Cleffa, Elekid and Smoochum.
If you mess up, you can still clone the egg, not receive any. What it hatches into is random, so don't get mad if you saved too late.

Should note that if you are using an emulator you can use save states as a failsafe for if you screw up.

Elekid's shiny and non shiny colors swapped between gens 2 and 3 for some reason, hence why it wasn't noticed. Very stupid change.

Tangela learns ancient power at Lv. 33 in order to evolve into Tangrowth. However, Tangela does not appear in the wild in Diamond or Pearl, so you must either trade it from Platinum, HeartGold, or SoulSilver or you can migrate one from FireRed or LeafGreen. As for Magmortor and Electivire, you CAN get their pre-evolutions in Diamond and Pearl, however you have to trade Magmar and Electabuzz while they are holding the Magmarizer and the Electirizer respectively.

No that’s not true, at the end of sentence ‘saving don’t turn off the power’ you reset. But note that the window to clone is very small compared to gold/silver so practice a bit before doing this. Also this guy should explain it better because he just shows it without giving the info and changes from the previous game. But that’s how you do it
