In these series, we will keep it as a "quick dive-in-deep" into the producer profiles, their styles and their champagnes. With all the respect to the Grande Marque Champagne Houses and their work for years, there are also small producers in Champagne Region that you really should know if you are into Champagne.
In this episode, I introduce you one of my favourites, always sharp and sound, Pierre Gimonnet et Fils, or shortly, Pierre Gimonnet. Based in Premier Cru village of Cuis, they make some of the most elegant wines and they are also in Grower Champagne category. Didier Gimonnet and his borther wtoether with family are running the house at the moment and they are also a founder member of the Special Club (Clud Trésors De Champagne).
The Champagne tasted in this episode is Pierre Gimonnet Cuvée Gastronome 1er Cru Blanc de Blancs Brut Vintage 2014.
