The monsters don't use weapons, they seem to be Warwolf, Goblins or Vampires... because Vampires or goblins, because the attack seems to come from (under the house) and they seem to retreat when dawn comes.
The beasts are part xenomorph, part bug, part ape, and all-around disturbing. What makes their design super effective is that we never get a clear view of them. However, the small glimpses of the monsters that we do see make it clear that you absolutely do not want to see more...
