Taoism - Wu Wei is Bullshit

  • Don't get offended. This ia a professional Taoism talk show that talks about the term you often see out there, Wu Wei 無爲, which is often interpreted as the no-doing. To be honest, it's not right in my dictionary and here you will see my presentation of what reeally is Wu Wei in our dictionary, and it's so simple to the point that you can see it happen everyday in your life, and it's nowhere near the no-doing theory out there. It's a good thing if you can realize and accepte this knowledge, then it means at least you are not blinded by illusions, and you are accepting reality instead of trying to escape from reality.
Taoism is not just about those Tao Te Ching and some philosophies. It's much greater and deeper than that, but you can't find it in books and you cannot find any reliable materials on the subject like how you could find books on science and math. The truth is, Taoism is taught by inheriting, and not by a school-method with books. You will need to be ordained into a lineage, learn under a master, to have real communications, for the master to teach you while you walk WITH your master, meaning that, you learn as you do, and not learn from a book. To be honest, tao te ching is not even 1% of Taoism, that's how far you might be away from it. Those who claimed that this book is the core of Taoism? They are for sure taking just the flour of a pizza and calling that the essence of bakery. Too bad, you never see the real pizza yet, unless you step into the door of a lineage. How do you learn to swim? You dip into the water and start learning, not read about swimming for 50 years before you do swim. Book-worms Taoism is not Taoism. I hope all the viewers can be aware that a book-worm chef is not a real chef and the do not know about real cooking either. Polish up your glasses when you look around for "Taoism teachings" and spot what is real, what is not. Make your decisions wisely.

Great teaching! thanks!. Made me realize that my initial reservations of this video are due to being accustomed to the usual western 'seriousness' in education. But, I remembered that the spirit of Taoism has within it a silliness and humor... like Chuang Tzu and that Taoists often exaggerate their teaching to the point of humor to get their message across. so, i watched the whole thing on the intuition that it contains some gems of truth, which it does!. I believe it's cleared up a lot of the confusions that i've picked up from the usual books on Taoism.... how they over-complicate!. Thanks!

It's not that people over complicate, it's because people don't know, that's why they went bullshitting for "better sales" of the books. Hey it's about money making, if you understand in one video, what do they do with the 30 books in line for the next season? :) There are many more talk shows on my other channel (tin yat dragon) too, but here is one you should look, a lot of people want to kill me after this one - ua-cam.com/video/AM0SLgFgBDc/v-deo.html

Hi, thanks for sharing this video! You are really engaging and motivational :) I've watched all those Beginner Taoism videos so I really appreciate hearing your genuine insight.
the only thing I didn't agree with in your video was the discussion about hierarchy and leadership. In natural systems we all have our role I agree, but I'd argue that Capitalism is completely unnatural and doesn't demonstrate wuwei. Accumulating profit isn't wuwei. That section sounded very Confucius-y! But anyway, that's not really related you just got me thinking! thanks again :)

So I watched this waiting for you to disprove, or explain why wu wei is BS only to hear you prove wu wei is indeed a great form of Tao, as wu wei is talking g accountability and turning principles into practice. This was a great video, and I appreciate the teachings you shared.

      take a good read: www.tinyatdragon.com/blogs/spiritual/what-is-wu-wei-in-taoism
I have a bunch of good ones here: www.tinyatdragon.com/pages/classics-must-reads
Wu Wei is not just a TAO thing, it's just common sense if you put it into simple words. Don't even need to be a Taoist to apply it. But being a Taoist, it means MUCH more.

This is interesting and got me wondering about schisandra berry (wu wei zi). does wu wei zi really mean 5 flavor berry, or does it have a better translation

I came for the clickbait, but stayed for the content. Thank you for sharing your understanding - I'm so over the research and present 😂. You've reminded me why the Internet exists....

I'm ready to bet no-one who disliked this video had the patience to actually listen to the end. As far as I'm concerned this great stuff! Extremely practical, ready to use, blowing away tones of motivational crap 😀 The concept is very clear defined ,when listen you cannot miss it, the explanations end the examples in use are comprehensive, vivid and shiny. Congratulations on your work and shearing! Thank you!😊

Chiinnature I've already subscribed in the midst of first video of yours that I stumbled upon -that about Tao as a general concept -the moment you mentioned about the other channel. So 3days ago ,tot two channels become my daily driver,so to say
As a musician, I'm impressed by everything you display in this field.Sure , your music is not intended just to please others, there's power and direction underneath but it's still beautiful to listen to and doing such i feel centered, inspired and empowered!

Really like listening to your views ,and the way you put yourself over in English, really cool, don't agree with everything especially the meditation is #@/× , I think taking time to think calmly is good for people, still find most of Jee's show pretty damn good

    • @Chiinnature
      @Chiinnature  6 років тому

you dont have to agree, since this is not even a discussion with you. I don't even see how much you know in order to understand what I say mostly, so with limited knowledge, you won't even get it, and so how can you agree? Again, you don't have to agree, because I never asked anyone to. I spread, and I teach, it's my career, so I do know what I am teaching more than anyone watching for sure, lol! Or else I won't be teaching. Thanks for leaving a comment, but I just want to drop this msg for people who are also trying to say the similar things like " oh I don't agree etc.. " -- you guys can just find something you like to watch, LOL youtube is big, you can watch anything you like for fun.

it is in English, the other videos, if you actually did look, there are tons of ENGLISH videos by me, which is the majority of the vids too. The lady you are referring to is my trained disciple, she is a master in the lineage and teaching in mandarin for the group of people who don't know English and only mandarin. We have both English and Chinese videos on the channel there, tons of stuff for both audience

Thanks and glad you liked the video too, I guess it's like when you really know about something, you should be able to make it simple and easy to understand for everyone, at least that's how my stuff is like lol! Funny how many people here watched this "Taoism" video and the channel isn't even about those stuff, so funny to see the result!

Very educational video, thank you! One brilliant expression for Wu Wei I once heard is "Not forcing." Simple, practical and covering many applications of Wu Wei. It also goes very well with what you have explained.

For example, if you want a plant to grow, it doesn't grow faster if you pull on it, you will only pull it out of the earth and harm it. You have to water it and give it time, then it will grow, you have to act in accordance with the plant's nature.
