Don't rush use needle nose pliers or Fine point tweezers to hold the pin. use flush side cutter to cut the leads. and most importantly, use fine solder. 0.5mm or less.Try to keep your hands less shakey. Third hands with those alligator clips can be useful. watch some of Great Scott's Videos and his tips for soldering. try to make it appealing to the eye.
