If anyone is interested in getting one of these blacklights, there is a link in the description of this video!
That looks like so much fun , it's awesome. If it was me then if it glows it goes, it's going to come with me😊
It was fun, thanks for watching!
Iwas thinking the same thing.
That's exactly what I was thinking! I might have to take my uv light to my current rock collection and maybe my landscaping rocks even just to see.....😂
What a great idea. I am going to start rock hunting this way.
It is fun a fun way of rockhounding, thanks for watching!
Great adventure and yes the stars were gorgeous!
Thanks for watching!
Interesting video. For whatever reason, I love the wood best.
As far as the glow of them I do also, thanks for watching!
Wow this video was awesome. Thank you for showing us this. What fun!!!! As always I learned something new from you!!!
@@Grandmasrockin glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
That looks like so much fun. I do have a uv lt. I made a tray full of glowing rocks for my grandkids.
That sounds fun, I bet they loved it, thanks for watching!
Love your channel and enjoy watching you two and Abby.
Thank you, glad you enjoy!
Thanks for sharing this. We have been wanting to do something similar, so it was nice to see your adventure beforehand.
Congratulations on the 1000+!!
@@ceeclearly6840 thanks for watching!
Congratulations on 1k!!!!
Thanks for watching!
That is such a cool idea! I'm making a trip to Montana in a couple of weeks, I am definitely bringing my uv flashlight!
@@crystalwing2647 dang right, thanks for watching!
Stop a night at Makoshika state park ant you will find too many scorpions at the campground with those lights. Any kids there will Freak.
@@wadestanton ha! We might have to try that, would be interesting, thanks for watching!
MARVELOUS way to hunt.
@@chrissiejundt9867 thanks for watching!
Would love to see some of the agates you have already cut with the black light. 😊
I need to check them, haven't done that yet! Thanks for watching!
Congratulations on 1K subscribers .
Black lights add a new dimension to rockhounding on the Yellowstone!
I wonder if the South Dakota Fairburns glow?
I am not sure, next time we go down there I might have to try it, thanks for watching!
Very cool hunt we enjoyed it.
@@wendellchapin9034 good, thanks for watching!
I found this to be very interesting, the way the sones glowed with the black lights. I live in Michigan in the very lower end of it and have only seen a very few agates, but it I think it would be still be fun and to try it out on Lake Michigan or an inter river from with the Black Light just to see.
@@lauriey107 you never know what you might find, thanks for watching!
Congratulations on the 1k subs 🎉
Thanks!
Another wonderful video thank you. This is excellent information next time I come over I can rockhound 24/7
Haha, absolutely, thanks for watching!
Verrrrry interesting! 😁
@@RodEubank thanks for watching!
Sweet night hunt!!!
Thanks for watching!
I did not know Montana agates glowed. Great hunt. Your channel is taking off. Congrats bud. I’m trying but mine is going slow. Lol
@@JnVrockhounding it does take some time, just keep it up!
Congrats on reaching the 1k mark! Fun video with the UV beast, always good to do something different like this once in a while. Now stop crying and get to cutting! LOL!!
@@matthewcarey7323 😂 , new cutting video will come out next week! Thanks for watching!
Great video! It looks like you are using a 395nm light (could be the camera making it seem brighter than it actually is), if you are consider using a 365nm instead as the light will not be bright purple and the chalcedony that does glow will do so a much brighter green. It's quite possible you are walking over a lot of agates and not even realizing it. Also, petrified wood and fossils generally glow a yellowish orange color.
@@aberus1 yes that is the light I have, I’ve heard that about the 365, I plan on getting one because I think your right, thanks for the info and watching!
We find the yooperlites on Lake Superior with ours and a lot of the calcites and sodalite material
I've heard of yooperlites but haven't seen one in person, someday maybe.
I’m a new subscriber from Texas. Love watching Abby and her antics. Great channel! I hunt for petrified wood in New Mexico with my daughter. I’m curious to see if that wood responds to UV light. Will try soon!
@@MaryJones-hc6pt Glad you enjoy it, hopefully it will show some color, thanks for watching!
Great idea!!
Thanks for watching!
Just last week in Crawford, I got a black light. Went out that night about walked into every hole and Gulley around, have to be careful.
For sure, they don't provide a lot of "seeing light", thanks for watching!
Very cool video.
@@billmoody5199 thanks for watching!
Anything that is a fossil will glow.
@@chrissiejundt9867 I’ll have to try that, thanks for watching!
Congrats on 1000!! (I hope to reach that milestone one day!) Will your giveaway be available for rock loving people in Canada?
Just keep putting out content, you will get there, I subbed to help out, and yes, Canada is included, thanks for watching!
@JensensAdventures Thanks so much, I appreciate it! I really enjoy your vids!
I just got one of those lights as well! mine is a 365nm uv beast is yours the same?
The one I have is the 385-395, not sure what the difference is, I'll have to look, I also got extra batteries to use with the extension, probably gave me an extra 30 minutes of use or so.
@@JensensAdventures i got the 385-395 as well and it has more of a purple light i noticed when comparing it to the 365 and it don't show the green and yellow orange glow as good as the 356. I found more glowing stuff in my collection with the 365 and I think its better for the yellowstone river rocks.
@@406findings well now I'm just gonna have to spend for money!😂
Can you post a link for the flashlight . ? My son says we need to do this before the snow Flys. We are only a couple hours away.
There is a link in the description of the video for it and other equipment that I use, it is fun! Thanks for watching!
congratulations on reaching 1k. so glad that beaver didnt get you lol .
Ha, me too, just made me jump a couple of times. Thanks for watching!
