Thank you for always responding! I sent my 4.5 month baby to therapist in my country but the exercises seemed very harsh. Can i email you the videos of the exercises so you can tell me if they’re appropriate for my baby because the baby couldn’t stop crying and i am afraid of sending him there again

It is considered unethical for me to provide treatment recommendations for a child I have not personally evaluated. You could ask around to find out if that is a good therapist or see someone else. I will say it is not uncommon for 4.5 months old babies to cry.

Today our pediatrician said our baby has right sided torticolis. She is 5 weeks old.
I agree that she is definitely tilting her head to the right way more than to the left when she has the opportunity. But, she seems to favor looking to the right, not the left. She even tends to rest her head with her face to the right when she sleeps even if I rotate it left first.
Is it possible for torticolis to be just a tilting issue but not a rotation issue? Or can it be a rotation issue but to the opposite side of what's expected? I plan to do rotation stretches either way. But Im not sure what to do as far as changing her routine and which side I should encourage her to look to.

Also do you have any tips for positioning a right sided torticolis baby during breastfeeding? I saw you have tips for when bottle feeder but my baby doesn't take bottles.

I sometimes see babies who tilt and turn to the same side. I do the appropriate stretches for each issue. I am sorry. I do not have videos on breastfeeding with torticollis. I did find this in a quick search: www.mahmee.com/articles/torticollis-and-breastfeeding#:~:text=Try%20to%20feed%20on%20the,early%20from%20a%20lactation%20consultant.

My baby has the same problem - right side toricolis and prefer looking right side when sleeping. In this case, which exercise should we do to address the issue, doctor? Should we turn her head to the left when sleeping?

@@xitrumdieu In general, I recommend Stretching opposite of the direction the baby prefers to rotate and tilt. If you have specific questions regarding your child, I recommend you contact a local Physical Therapist who can assist you.

You would expect a baby by around three months of age to have relatively good head control. I recommend you find a local therapist who can assist you.

Usually by three months of age, a child has relatively good head control. You could reference my head control playlist for some ideas. I recommend you find a local therapist who can help you.
