Ok .. I’ll bite.. your right maybe this is some sort of therapy.. but my wife of 32 yrs passed 1 day after our anniversary 12/30/22..and I had put a little playlist of 3 songs I listen to everyday.. seems like they remind me of our time together and of course Dave sings them all….Shut me down/my sun/one thing .. I don’t know why it happens but his songs are always apart of my life.. starting with DM from when we started dating in 86.. I don’t know how else to sum up my life ..but I feel like Dave Gahan has narrated it all this time..

I always find it commendable when someone attempts a cover, but if it's a cover you're after, make it sound like you. This doesn't even begin to add any kind of depth, understanding or love to the original. To add onto what I saw in a group, I fear RSH will become a name drop and seldomly respected and revered in the manner that's appropriate and well deserved.

@@natree9088 I love and adore dave and depeche mode. but I’m also allowed to be disappointed by this cover - and a bit protective a very personal icon! that’s just my opinion, and my concern.
It sounds almost exactly the same as Rowland S Howard’s original. It would have been more interesting if it was made with a typical Dave-sound, rather than just trying to copy Rowland’s. I love RSH, and Dave, so I dunno. I was just expecting something more unique. :)
Guitars are perfectly played in Rowland's style. Dave's vocals make the difference. You can't play Rowland's songs in other ways, his style was and will always be unique 😉🔥❤️🎸🌹
