All of these neighbors are extremely nosey!! Acting like they really are concerned knowing they have been reporting her to the city! They're scared the house might burn down!!! This is truly a blessing, now her house is the best on the block. Her neighbors should feel ashamed you never know what someone is going through.

They're probably the main ones gossiping about her house behind her back. It was none of their business how she came about getting her beautiful new roof.
In all fairness they didn't know the condition of the house and the homeowner was apparently (by all accounts) missing in action for a year.... as far as they knew it was abandoned just as so many homes are today. And yes, if they was scared it was going to burn down there is a legitimate concern when their houses would too if it did.
Even the homeowner acknowledged everyone probably thinks the home was run down destroyed inside by the looks of it because she would assume such also if she was never inside of it.
Calling the city with concerns of a run down possibly mold filled abandoned rats nest fire hazzard right beside your house is not at all unusual nor ignorant, especially a close nit community with one way in and one way out..... she was missing for a year (and by the sounds of it going to sell it off) by all accounts.
It seemed pretty apparent to everyone around (almost as a warning even) that she was not living there.
Would be interesting to know if she stays or gets rid of it.
I mean she can do as she pleases obviously but would be interesting to know.

I have never in my life watched a roofing company on UA-cam, but the sincerity and genuine love in your hearts is simply amazing. That is truly no easy job to take on, it is very labor intensive. Imagine telling a neighbor to sell her vegetables and use the money to repair her roof...that's one ridiculous statement to make to someone who truly needs her roof repaired but couldn't do it because of financial problem. That roof is huge I can’t imagine the cost of this. I just got estimates for 1100sq ft with only some new plywood, architectural shingles, $11k-$15k crazy.

II don't know why but this video didn't feel good to my soul. It seemed like all of her business was put out in a condescending kind of way and that the neighbors weren't truly happy for her or understanding and caring about her struggles. Just nosey.

They know what they are doing
The neighbour was a busy body. She wasn't concerned about it burning down, more of an eye sore. Glad these guys came to her rescue. ❤❤❤ And the reason the neighbour won't get things done for free is her heart. She didn't even say that's a great thing you guys are doing. She reverted to herself because she's selfish. So Donna was away for a year, working in another city to raise money to try and fix the roof. And these neighbours seem somehow grieved because they didn't know where she was. Gosh
I think the only reason she made so.e muffins was to try and get something for free from them. That's why the first thing she all was what he house looked like inside. If she cared, she would have went next door and offered some help.

My church’s assistant pastor and family went on vacation recently and the church funded and volunteered to side, roof, replace windows, and install a new water heater. 30 men showed up each day to do the work.
When they got home everyone was there to surprise them. They were so surprised and thankful and happy.

No need for any hate or any negativity stemming from baseless assumptions. All we know is that a neighbor supposedly called in a safety hazard. If that is what resulted in actions taken to prevent further neglect and prevention of bodily harm from having a poorly tarped roof, then we should all be thankful. @@kt1pl2 My understanding was the city was taking it away from her because it needed a new roof. She started a job out of town and COVID impacted her for several reasons. Her job is nursing care. Many of those jobs require traveling to elderly peoples homes hours away and some are facilities that require the workers to sleep there during shifts lasting several days.
Now that saving $ for a roof isn’t an issue anymore, maybe she won’t have to work the same hours/locations. Therefore sleeping more at her own home. The city can leave her to enjoy her home again. So doing a new roof was the entire point. So she could potentially return to living there like she had been.
@TortoiseNo.3 it's coz she had travelled to another city for work so she could raise enough money to fix the roof plus it will no longer be hazardous both to her house and to the neighbourhood encase of another storm 😊So It's not pointless 😉 let's learn how to be happy for others en look on the bright side of life, then we shall attract the same energy into our lives 🫶 Peace✌️

I am a new subscriber and I have been binge watching your channel today. I am 55 and a woman whom is United with her neighbors. I have to tell you gentlemen that you all give me hope for humanity. The way you went around to the neighbors was brilliant coming to her defense and bringing them together as a community should be. People are so quick to judge and report to the authorities as they should just talk to one another and have compassion for one another. God bless you all , a BIG Thank you and BRAVO!

I feel that the neighbors already see the roof being fixed. It was not important for the neighbors to know that the work was free, or anything about Donna that she didn't share herself. Just my opinion, not bashing anyone. Just sometimes less can be more. What matters is the roof is being fixed that needed it badly and you helped. You guys are fixing the roof or helping the community like you guys say and do.
The community could have come together the same way they did to greet the roofers or find out info on the neighbor to help a fellow neighbor in need. The world is what it is. We can pray about the world but coming together is a great fix.
I interpreted it like they were actually trying to defend/explain Donnas situation to the white supremacy people that kept their prejudgemental opionions about her.
