Been eating here since 1972. Even though I have since moved away, my very first stop is Barone's when I come into town. Even before I check into my hotel or see a family member. One of the few things in life I can count on!! Thin cheese and sausage. Perfection!!!!!!
Bruh I was born in 1997. Grew up in GE. I use to get this stuff all the time. I remember back in the early 2000s, they used to have a kids room/games room with an N64. Blast from the past bro...
What's up with CANNED MUSHROOM? Also you have to layer the cheese. Crust, then sauce, half the cheese, then topping, then the rest of the cheese. Otherwise the topping will SLIDE RIGHT OFF !!!
This has been my favorite pizza place in the U.S. and abroad (including Canada and many countries in Europe) since the 1970s, and it makes for a perfect dinner date. The reasons: Their amazing stuffed pizza--which has no comparison with its flaky crust, perfectly balanced sauce, generous toppings (which btw includes FRESH mushrooms as a choice, and which because of the stuffed layout do NOT slide right off), stringy cheese, and thoroughly filled edges (pizza joints that market supposedly stuffed pizza without filling the edges just don't get what a stuffed pizza is supposed to be)--served by friendly long-time owners and their staff (or delivered still-piping hot to your home), in a delightful atmosphere which includes rustic paintings and olive oil / red pepper flakes / Parmesan at every table. Thin pizzas here compare to other places, but the stuffed pizza here reigns supreme and is always my preferred go-to when I am hungry for pizza. And it makes amazing leftovers!
Actually, I'm not an owner at all. Just a pizza-lover! I first went to this place when I began dating in the 70s, and I've been an avid fan ever since. Best pizza on the planet, and I'm not afraid to advertise it!
