at this point i don’t even care what if any involvement she actually had in the murders. its enough for me that she (a) did nothing to find the ‘missing’ children and (b) kept up the story that she knew where the children were and that they were safe and in a secret location for their own good. any woman who prioritises herself and chasing d*** over her kids should get double whatever sentence anyone else gets. her sickly lovey dovey calls with chad are cringe AF so if her defence is going to be ‘i was brainwashed’ or ‘i acted under duress’, she knows what she can do with those. thank god they are trying these cases together - what are the chances her spouse, chad’s spouse AND her 2 kids are all dead, independently of each other. the ‘mental health’ card won’t wash either.
Trying what cases together? They severed the trial of Chad with Lori’s. Edit: do you mean the murder case involving Charles? I thought his murder case is going to be in Arizona, where there is jurisdiction.

Thank you Nate for all you do. It helps to listen to audio. I just wish when they talked they weren't so close to the person typing. Lol little annoying in the background of audio but so grateful to be able to hear this!
Believe me you are not alone in being disappointed about the no cameras allowed. It was ruled at the last hour. We all find it unconstitutional! We've all signed petitions but to no avail. Last week the court ordered that the grandparents couldn't sit in the courtroom during trial. But the prosecution got around the ruling.
her alibi is stupid because (1) you don’t have to be present to be guilty (2) one of her alibi witnesses is a prosecution witness so why would she think she’d back up her story and (3) her lawyer just said nobody knows where/when/how the kids died so how can she say they died in her brother’s apartment and therefore she was in her own apartment?
I'm surprised the defense attorney can speak on the fact that he is an assigned public defender and the taxpaying jurors are helping to fund his law office 🥴 his opening was terrible
Archibald needs to check his numbers. Lori is not one of SIX children. She is one of FIVE. Lori is not a stepmother to TWO. (Charles Vallow's boys) but also stepmother to Chad's FIVE children. It makes his research look sloppy....let's hope he gets sloppier....may justice finally be served to Lori Vallow. Hell isn't hot enough for her IMO.
Lori has two brothers, a sister who died as a baby, a sister who died as an adult and her sister Summer. I think it was in Summer's testimony that it was revealed the baby sister that died before Lori was born.
Poor babies. They are about the same age as my children, and tylee reminds me of my daughter. It just breaks my heart. I wish the authorities had listened to Charles. There needs to be a serious look into the child protection system and police who dealt with this case, too. I'm so sorry for Tammy and her children, too. It's all so sad 😞
@ time of this video 46:31, the defense says "We need to decide where did it happen"? Hum, the children's dismembered bodies were found in a shallow grave, burned in Chad's backyard, duh. That was why he was arrested. Next...
They DID do an autopsy on Tammy. They had to resume her body to do it. That's how they know how she died. Chad didn't want an autopsy done on her but once the police got involved that's when they resumed her body and did the autopsy.
@@Pandalynn369 But she was buried without an autopsy. If this case hadn't come to light her untimely and now apparently her death wouldn't have been a Murder. Any person under 55 who dies of no obvious trauma ( car accident) or disease should automatically have an autopsy. That should be a law.
@@Pandalynn369 they only Exhumed Tammy's remains after the children's remains were found on his property. If not her death wouldn't have been under suspicion. If a mandatory autopsy had been done possibly the children would still be alive today. Another travesty is Alex's death. No autopsy Again. Plus he was cremated. So no evidence of foul play. Considering the way law enforcement handled Charles Vallow's obvious ambush and murder, I'm not convinced even if there had been autopsy done of both of the above charges would have been filed. The kids were doomed due to dumb luck and inept law enforcement.
The only time that an autopsy isn’t required here in Canada is if the person died in the hospital. If the death occurred anywhere else, than an autopsy is required.
Defense had nothing. Literally had so much nothing he had to talk about himself his reputation, not once did he say my client didn't do this or anything it was swirly twirly talk... he really believes in his case 😂 Also totally infuriated me when he said something like " you good citizens, taxpayers paid me to represent her and I thank you for that".....Dude.... screw you...
The Defense's opening statement was about as passionate as watching paint dry. It was if he was reading it for the first time and he certainly hadn't memorized any of it. If this dry, emotionless opening statement is an indicator of things to come in the trial, the Prosecution will win this case hands down.
Agreed. How could anyone believe Lori is not guilty, including him? It sounds like he's going through the motions hoping someone doesn't bomb his office again. If he were to add emotion to his statements it could easily push people far enough to attack like rubbing salt in the wound.
@@judichristophersen7238 I agree with you 100 percent but the Judge took the DP off the table on March 22, 2023 - Lori Vallow will not face the death penalty if she is convicted of murder in the deaths of her two children.

I do not believe her alibi that was written for her. It’s more bs from the woman who claimed she knew exactly where they were and they were safe and happy! Yes, once dead, they were finally safe FROM HER SCHEMING AND MANIPULATING! No one has the right to steal the future from anyone....Especially children, who have no choice but to trust their family to help them achieve their future best life! The shock those kids suffered is a hell of its own, and Nobody deserves the betrayal that woman put them through! Tylee probably knew deep down after the Charles Murder scheme she was forced to play into, but denial is greatest in our teen years when the truth looks like a sci fi plot!
WOW, you can really hear tons of typing in the background! I think Lindsey should have put some emotion into her opening statement, she sounded like a robot!
I imagine a book and film about these defendants and these crimes will be forthcoming soon...??? Like the saying goes, "You can't make this story up." We can't but, they actually contrived this scheme and worse, saw it through... To their innocent victims: May you all rest in perfect peace, forever...
Who is the defence lawyer? He certainly doesn’t sound confident ! But can’t blame him for that, imagine getting this case arrive on your desk, you gotta defend Lori Vallow!!
Hopefully her lawyers get it together since so far they sound disastrous, and it would be a travesty if the case ends up eventually being overturned because of their incompetence. They’ve certainly got an impossible task trying to convince the jury of her innocence, since a blind man could see from a mile away how guilty she is.
Maybe her lawyers do have it together, perhaps there isn’t a whole lotta evidence to support a solid defense without committing perjury so Hopefully her lawyers are just being honest and true here
@@Junebiz104L They haven’t presented any evidence since A.) It was the first day of the trial with the jury seated, and the attorneys were giving their opening statements which isn’t the point in the trial when evidence is presented, and B.) Typically the defence doesn’t present evidence first since, if you understand the criminal justice system in the United States, the accused has the right to the presumption of innocence until otherwise proven guilty, and had you listened to the council for defence they actually stated just that, the burden of proof isn’t with the accused and it’s not up to them to prove their innocence but rather the burden is on the prosecution since it is up to them to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. For this reason the prosecution presents their witness testimony and physical evidence and the defence then refutes the evidence by bringing the evidence brought forth by the prosecution into question, meaning they make some argument showing how the evidence doesn’t prove what the prosecution claims it does, or by presenting witness testimony or physical evidence which contradicts the evidence of the prosecution. The evidence presented by the defence typically relies upon expert testimony which disagrees with the prosecution experts, or physical evidence which exonerates the accused by proving they could not have committed the crimes they are charged with. And if they had any such evidence they would have disclosed it as soon as it was obtained and had their client released and the charges dropped, but that didn’t happen likely because no such evidence exists. Unless of course you believe the accused simply prefers to remain incarcerated even when there is evidence to exonerate them. My point was regarding the dry, monotone nature of the defence’s opening statements. One would think having a client who is accused of such heinous acts and on trial for such serious charges yet is innocent, that the defence might have a slight bit of passion in defending an innocent individual, but he read his opening in the same tone someone would read the instructions on how to change an ink cartridge on their printer. Anyway, it seems some people simply can’t control their urge to post comments when they actually have nothing to contribute and just feel the need to be contrary for attention. Well you got it.
@@Junebiz104L Also, council, meaning the lawyers, generally don’t testify under oath at a trial where they are acting as the defence or prosecution attorneys, so the chances that they will commit perjury is basically non existent. If counsel is found to have broken any of the rules of the court they may be found in contempt of court and in extreme circumstances they are removed from the case, fined and their license maybe be revoked or they may even be disbarred, but usually they aren’t considered perjurious since they are not testifying under oath which is a condition for the charge of perjury. Maybe learn a bit more about the law and how the justice system actually works before offering your very uninformed opinion so as to avoid appearing foolish.

at this point i don’t even care what if any involvement she actually had in the murders. its enough for me that she (a) did nothing to find the ‘missing’ children and (b) kept up the story that she knew where the children were and that they were safe and in a secret location for their own good. any woman who prioritises herself and chasing d*** over her kids should get double whatever sentence anyone else gets. her sickly lovey dovey calls with chad are cringe AF so if her defence is going to be ‘i was brainwashed’ or ‘i acted under duress’, she knows what she can do with those. thank god they are trying these cases together - what are the chances her spouse, chad’s spouse AND her 2 kids are all dead, independently of each other. the ‘mental health’ card won’t wash either.
⚖️🎯⚖️ Exactly! ⚖️🎯⚖️
Trying what cases together? They severed the trial of Chad with Lori’s.
Edit: do you mean the murder case involving Charles? I thought his murder case is going to be in Arizona, where there is jurisdiction.
Thank you for posting this! Sure wish I could see Lori’s face when the bodies of Tylee and JJ were shown.
I don’t know if you watched the video with Nate’s commentary but he said it didn’t really look like she had any reaction to the pictures of those poor babies dead bodies. She is a disgusting person if you can call her that. I hope she rots in hell, where she can be tormented by demons and then she can think of all her “zombies”
@@SensiblyTina She's a cold duck, isn't she?
The child of her body dismembered and burned and no reaction whatsoever.
Chilling, isn't it?
@@SensiblyTina even that other witch Leticia Stout hid her face and put her hands over her ears out of guilt for killing little Gannon.
He was her step son I might add.
This woman LV doesn't deserve the title, Mother.

They need to move the microphone away from the court reporter. All you hear is their typing.
It's making me crazy 🤭😬
Its the reporters too. Thsts why it's so loud because they are all typing where Nate is recording.
The jurors have already complained about it so I'd not be shocked if Boyce doesn't put a stop to it
IF it is ONLY the court reporter typing, then for sure, the microphone should be muted - they had problems with over sensitive microphones picking up whisperings during the recordings in jury selection week. PLEASE resolve the tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap......... it's like a dripping tap!!!!
@@kimshayler4501 it was addressed in court ..... it was the reporters all typing at the same time due to there been no live coverage. Judge Boyce said the jurors had complained and he had given the court the warning to stop typing so loudly or lap tops would have to be banned.
Your a rock star Nate….with a heart of gold. Much love from Hamilton Ontario Canada.
So Lori admits she knows when her children died and where they died and where she was. Never calling police on her brother. Sure she sounds like she's innocent. 🙄
Thank you Nate for all you do. It helps to listen to audio. I just wish when they talked they weren't so close to the person typing. Lol little annoying in the background of audio but so grateful to be able to hear this!
So. Much. Typing! 😅 Thank you for bring this to us! Listen from Northern Lower Michigan!
Not American but waiting years for this case and very disappointed it's not televised
Thank you Nate! I listened to the whole thing. I’m thankful we can hear what is going on. From Spokane Wa.
The defense attorney could talk you into a coma.
Thank you Nate, appreciate your diligence in keeping us informed about this case.
the Laptop is really loud
Than stop listening. They are not going to fix the problem for your pleasure.
her alibi is stupid because (1) you don’t have to be present to be guilty (2) one of her alibi witnesses is a prosecution witness so why would she think she’d back up her story and (3) her lawyer just said nobody knows where/when/how the kids died so how can she say they died in her brother’s apartment and therefore she was in her own apartment?
Yikes. That was probably the worst and most boring defense opening statement I have ever heard.
Thank you Nate for posting so promptly. Living in the UK 🇬🇧 means I can watch the Gannon Stauch case and catch up on the lori case the next morning.
I'm doing the same.
Gannon Staunch case is so heartbreaking.
His stepmother is a piece of work.
The book of Mormon IS NOT the Bible.
I'm surprised the defense attorney can speak on the fact that he is an assigned public defender and the taxpaying jurors are helping to fund his law office 🥴 his opening was terrible
I thought the same thing!! I had to continue scrolling through the comments. I’m surprised there aren’t more like this.
@@sunlan3971 same. & his cross exams seem to go nowhere.
Great opening from the prosecution!!!
Great opening statement by the prosecution.
She looks like she aged 30 years
Her face that was beautiful now manifest the evil that is her
She has changed and it’s evil and sickening
Thank you for sharing the audio! Please separate the ad breaks to further apart. They come too often.
The recording of Charles speaking with police is so incredibly sad.
Can't save the world .... can't stop evil, usually. Can't even clean up the mess, but we can try to help.
Thanks for playing all the opening statement and testimony. That’s why I chose this site.
@ time of this video 46:31, the defense says "We need to decide where did it happen"? Hum, the children's dismembered bodies were found in a shallow grave, burned in Chad's backyard, duh. That was why he was arrested. Next...
Thank you for this audio!!
Watch "Fried Green Tomatoes". What they did with the low life was classic.
If I were a juror, this defense attorney’s voice and inflection is so flat I would fall asleep.
thx for these nate and east idaho news u got my sub
I think it should be a law to do an autopsy .
I literally can not believe they didn't on Tammy's body
Hey, I'm healthy 62 and if I die suddenly please autopsy me!! Find the cause!!
The only time that an autopsy isn’t required here in Canada is if the person died in the hospital. If the death occurred anywhere else, than an autopsy is required.
Thank you for this!!! Hi Nate, I'm Joss :)
Defense had nothing. Literally had so much nothing he had to talk about himself his reputation, not once did he say my client didn't do this or anything it was swirly twirly talk... he really believes in his case 😂
Also totally infuriated me when he said something like " you good citizens, taxpayers paid me to represent her and I thank you for that".....Dude.... screw you...
😃😃😃😃😃😃
he was up there to advertise I guess more than make any move for the defense. Go off king.
I hope she gets DP !!!
He’s already had a bomb attack on his office,so bet he’s not gonna risk getting enthusiastic about defending Lori Vallow?
Who would??
@@judichristophersen7238 I agree with you 100 percent but the Judge took the DP off the table on March 22, 2023 - Lori Vallow will not face the death penalty if she is convicted of murder in the deaths of her two children.
@@julielevinge266 well said
The defense saying to the jury "I know a lot about you" seems creepy, almost like a veiled threat.
I’ve been looking forward to hearing this trial since we don’t have any cameras and only audio it’s extremely hard to listen to over the typing. Please I hope they have this fixed or else I’m not going to be able to even listen to this trial.
you’re exaggerating. its just a light tapping in the background.
I want her lawyer to read a book to me at night so I can relax and fall asleep.
WOW, you can really hear tons of typing in the background! I think Lindsey should have put some emotion into her opening statement, she sounded like a robot!
It’s the court reporter. And attorneys rarely let their emotions take over at the beginning of a trial.
no lawyer wants to be broadcast during a trial but if you know you’re going to be, you’d surely put on the show of your life? Not here tho lol
True. As a lawyer you need to be a storyteller
They're not really "allowed"
I imagine a book and film about these defendants and these crimes will be forthcoming soon...???
Like the saying goes, "You can't make this story up." We can't but, they actually contrived this scheme and worse, saw it through...
To their innocent victims: May you all rest in perfect peace, forever...
Thank you, EIN for paying for and posting the audio.
Thank you Nate and EIN from the UK 🇬🇧👍
Who is the defence lawyer?
He certainly doesn’t sound confident !
But can’t blame him for that, imagine getting this case arrive on your desk, you gotta defend Lori Vallow!!
So disappointed death penalty is off the table. She deserves nothing less then death! Horrible disgusting human being.
She would love to have death. I want her to live with this until her last breath. Caged like an animal.
Death just completely surrounds these two…unfortunately not theirs yet
Because there is no defense...
I came to the comments for this. That defense opening statement was garbage… he read his resume for half on of it. Ya’ll didn’t learn any flare or showmanship working this job SINCE THE 90’S?!?

Tylee would probably be about to graduate from college now. Lori, Chad and Alex stole it ALL from her and JJ too! And Tammy was preparing to run a 5K!!! It just makes me so mad!!
I wonder if Lori has wakened from her delusional nightmare. I think she will one day if she hasn’t already…when she does I don’t see how she will continue in this probation 🙄. Imagine her horror. 🧟♀️
They don't even suggest a defense for her!!! I never thought she stood a chance anyway of being found not guilty, but with these attorneys she's toast!!
That could be the whole idea.
Or… it’s ineffective counsel.
@@shivafarajifar yes you are right, it could be that. She had to sign an paper that she would not appeal on ineffective defense, because she wanted her trial soon. She would not sign off on her right to a speedy trial.
Everything this defense guy said about Kay Woodcock is a lie. Amazing. I’m guessing he is repeating what Lori told him. Wow

I hope Chad goes to trial. Now that Lori was found guilty on all charges, im thinking the State may offer him a plea deal to take the death penalty off the table.
The State has voiced the cost of trying the same case twice. They would have the same evidence and the same witnesses..i doubt Chad will go to trial..he would be found guilty for sure..
Lori still has her trial in arizona for the murder of Charles, but she hasnt been indicted for those charges yet. Arizona has been waiting for the outcome of this trial 1st..i could see Lori pleading guilty for conspiracy since she already has life in prison..😮
