They almost understand it. And they are saying stuff. But this liberal bullshit has been going on for so long now that they will never quite understand just how wrong they were. Or why it is necessary for the good of the democratic party to get it's ass handed to them. Or that the Republican party is going to get it's turn behind the woodshed. And how this makes a better democratic Republic for everyone in the long run. Until the political power mongers start pushing bad policy again just to see if voters are really paying attention.

The answer to "It's so late, what are they gonna do?" should be really obvious. He's declining rapidly, and the stress of the job isn't something he can handle for four more years, they need to replace him no matter how late it is. It's cruel to prop him up like they did Feinstein just so that he can serve their political agendas, and it could be disastrous considering the contest is democracy vs fascism. It should be criminal to do either. Using him as a prop is immoral and ignoring the risk of losing democracy is unconscienable. It's a shame democratic leadership lack both morals and a conscience for that to apply, just like their republican colleagues.
Biden wasn't chosen as Obama's running mate because he was popular or had great accomplishments under his belt, his claim to fame was a racially-targeted crime bill that did untold damage. He was chosen because the democratic establishment thought they'd lose unless they had an old, white conservative onstage with Obama to lessen the fears of racist voters. I'm pretty sure they were wrong there, Obama won hands-down and having Biden there changed nothing, the conservatives were already voting red no matter who and they weren't switching just because the democrats had a republican-lite in their corner.
Biden wasn't even a strong candidate last time around, and that was when Trump's completely insane, disastrous presidency was fresh in our minds. They had to subvert the democratic process of their primaries to make him their frontrunner too, something that was obvious to many and that they've now admitted to. If they want the responsibility of protecting democracy in its time of need they'd better start acting democratic and listen to what the majority want, because that's actually what democratic representatives are supposed to do.

Mika was not wrong about that. Obama had a huge discrepancy between rhetoric and actual policies implemented. Biggest accomplishment was a straight up right-wing health-care plan.
Mika was very wrong. Biden was very welcome after Trump. But not for long. Everybody is finished with Biden. This is cultlike behavior. These people are in denial. Biden was not a good president. He was just not so terrible as Trump at that time. But the tables are turned. At this moment, Trump is a lot better than Biden, because Biden is not performing at all! Trump cannot win from a good and vital democrat candidate, but he wins from Biden with a landslide. That is the truth! Why deny that? Obama, by the way, was a very good, young and vital president for 8 years!

Ana is mistaken here. Joe wasn't correcting the historic part; Joe was mentioning that Biden was also part of Obama's presidency as his vice-president, so you can't just say that one of them had a [...] presidency" without considering that technically they were both in the same administration.

And then in order to make sure it didn’t seem like she meant Obama was historic ONLY because he was the first biracial president, she pointed out that she said Obama’s historic presidency was due to legislative accomplishments.

@@My2CentsYall What don't you get? Biden is definitely going to lose in 2024. He has passed a center-left policy agenda that's been mostly successful. The things most TYT viewers don't like, such as Gaza, Trump would be doing even worse with. Inflation is Biden's weakest point, but Trump's plan makes it much worse. No question Trump would be bad for the average american policy-wise.
However, Biden can't string two sentences together. Barnstorming across the country, taking tons of interviews, and communicating effectively... it's half the job and most of the election... and HE SIMPLY CAN'T DO IT! I'm okay with center-left policies (I guess) but I'm not loyal to the cult of personality of one man. If another candidate can push those same policies across the finish line, then like-minded policy oriented voters should support that candidate. If there's a risk that the opposite policies could be put in place over the next four years, we should want to do everything we can to reduce the risk of that possibility.
TYT doing damage? No one watching TYT is considering voting for Trump (unless they're here to troll), but LOTS of independents are up for grabs. The one thing they can point to off the top of their head is "Biden's too old". It's a referendum on Biden's abilities rather than on Trump's policies, so not good. Political parties are supposed to line up the best policies, then line up the best candidate, but the current candidate is trailing badly.

But one issue that is being debated is the health of candidates as well as their age. No one should be getting upset that someone would ask Biden to step down… They aren't asking him to step down because they don't like him, they aren't asking him to step down because they think he did a bad job, they're asking him to step down because they think he doesn't have what it would take to beat Trump ...it wouldn't matter if he was 100 years old it only matters what voters in this country think and too many think he is faltering physically and is too old… Perception is everything (though lol he hasn't come across very good for a long time) and now even when he tried to undo the horrible debate performance with interviews and stuff he can't get anyone to believe he is physically and mentally capable of continuing and beating Trump the interview and speeches have been barely passable...... those side-by-side videos of his performances today compared to 2020 and 2016 and further back prove that he is greatly diminished....... I will vote for him before Trump but a lot of people won't that aren't paying attention as closely to the danger that Trump presents and so I think it is much better to have a fresh team running against Trump.....

My father had dementia. But my stepmother took care of him. They were both the life of the party, took frequent trips and generally had a fun life. She died suddenly of 3 heart attacks and he deteriorated so fast it made our heads spin. Night and day.... overnight.
Suddenly, his former bank was calling me at work every day saying dad was there again trying to withdraw money from a closed account.
He walked out into an active hurricane and eventually only spoke about things stored in his longterm memory. 😔
