I will be looking for the jewel tone pillow covers, great idea. My granddaughter and I love to take walks and collect pine cones, acorns and seed pods in the fall to display in a basket. We also make autumn leaf bouquets in all the beautiful jewel tones of fall! And like you said, add some autumn scented candles to the room for a cozy feel!

I'm with you Leslie! I have never like skeletons, ghosts, etc for Halloween. And I pretty much always decorate how I want for the season, because it's my home💗
Being disabled, and spending 99% of my time at home, I started leaving bits and pieces of every season (pretty spring forsythia branches, tulips, autumn black buffalo plaid pumpkins, etc) all over the place. Because they make me feel... COZY!! I'm with you, Leslie. Cozy is my vibe. And the decor pleases me if it's soft, multi-seasonal, and has elements of all the things about the seasons I love. Fireplace (without the heat) all year long plays on my TV set... just for the calming effect.. I so love it!!
It's never too early for Fall! It's my favorite season and I start decorating at the end of July. I will be starting tomorrow! I don't care about trends. I decorate the way I want to and enjoy every second of it!! I found pumpkin spice coffee creamer today at Walmart!! I loved your video. You always have wonderful content. I no longer do Halloween! Years ago, it was reasonable. With all the evil around today, skeletons, spiders, and scarry things won't be added at our house.
However, traditional fall decorating is great fun! Thank you for great ideas💕

Same. And I don’t love the idea of “seasonal décor” altogether. I just put my ceramic pumpkins with led candles out on the front stoop and maybe buy fresh flowers of the season, and also light a few scented candles. More “real” to bring on fall for me is to start knitting warm beautiful things.
Same here used to enjoy celebrating Halloween now I stay away from it. The evil in the world is just to real these days. However I do like to add a rustic light up jack o lantern. I love things that light up.
@rebeccajackson2740 that’s what we do in our area and so good for our children. So much going on in this world anymore and have to be safe what we expose our kids to.

I like how you broke down each category for fall. You nailed it! Apples are harvested in the fall with apple festivals and making apple butter. Create your own trends to decorate your home.
I have always loved jewel tones for fall. With a dark navy blue sofa, they all just pop. Love burnt oranges, coppers, moss , merlot, purples. I love decorating with pears, along with my pumpkins and fall leaves. . Plaids, corduroy, velvet, knitted throws and pillows. Lots of layers. Add some books, glowing candles and a mug of something warm, and I am in heaven.
Leslie, That is why I love watching your videos. You stay true to yourself when decorating. I am definitely going to use apples in my fall theme. ❤
I start putting out fall in August. Since all kids are grown and no grandkids, my Halloween decorations are down to 1 tote. I have gotten to the point that I only purchase new decorations if it is unique and not found in mass retailers.

My daughter’s wedding was in October. We did cobalt blue vases with baby’s breath and green apples. The bridesmaids wore cobalt blue dresses. It was gorgeous!!! I love your new pillow covers😍
YES! YES! You have expressed my feelings perfectly about the lack luster fall decor. They focus mostly on Halloween (which is a moment in fall that can be added on top of the fall decor if you are into it.) but I’m trying to decorate my home to take me through NOVEMBER! The choices are so few and actually boring.

Hi Leslie, I'm all about cozy! Fall is my favorite season. I may be an oddball but I don't enjoy summer. If I didn't have AC I'd go crazy! But I do love Fall, Winter, and Spring. :) We were at Costco the other day and they had the ugliest Halloween stuff! My husband and I were laughing though. Hideous! LOL
I’m so excited to decorate for fall this year. Summer on the east coast of Canada was so humid and hot. I didn’t get to really enjoy summer yet. I’m all in for bringing on fall as soon as possible. I’m thinking navy, cream, peach/rust tones,browns and greens with lots of natural wood, baskets, copper tones and candles. Fall is my absolute favourite season. 🍂🍃🍁

I have found most of the thrift stores are just so expensive not thrift at all. I love the classic fall items, and colors.
I look forward to digging out my fall decor……copper, copper, copper is it for me! Moody florals work with copper as well. Not a fan of velvet pumpkins. Love apples, too!

My kids and I really love the fall gnomes, so we have a small collection for those. Generally I stick with the nature inspired side of fall decor, so lots of the things that would have been sitting on people's tables and counter tops right after a big harvest. I especially like the walnuts, chestnuts, and acorns and the Indian corn too.
Blue is my favorite color! I also put blues in my fall and Christmas decor

I agree Cindy. Just because I like to decorate for Halloween doesn't mean it's wrong. Like she stressed it's what YOU like. I decorate for fall in September, Halloween in October and Thanksgivg in November. The looks shown on this video had a burned-down candelabra, the darker flowers and the blue Velvet and those would be perfect to incorporate with Halloween. My fall things get mixed in throughout all 3 months. There must be a lot that share our love for Halloween with so much out there. I'm personally looking forward to shopping for the season.

The Halloween mantle is a great blank canvas just flip it over and decorate for fall with vinyl or iron on.

You are going to love the navy blue velvet pillow covers. I bought them last yr and paired them with blue/cream/golden tan plaid pillow covers. Gave all the cozy fall vibes without being “theme-y”.
Our temp today is supposed to be 103 with a heat index of 110 🥵 Im SO ready for Fall!
I have some really pretty fabric like that blue but a tad turquoise color going to make pillows with it . Velvet just screams cozy cuddle up to me

I have never decorated with skeletons or skulls. Just not my thing. I like pumpkins for fall. Something has to really catch my eye for me to buy it. Great video. I liked your categories. Moody Florals was my favorite. I kind of liked those soft pumpkins at Hobby Lobby too. They were kind of cozy and pretty. I have to admit , Fall is my favorite season. I just love the colors and the cool air! I live in Alabama and dealing with the heat too, so it is fun to think FALL.🍁🍂🍏🍎🍂🍂🎃🍁

I decorate for Fall starting on Labor Day weekend with things I can leave out until Thanksgiving. Then I add a few Halloween things around the first of October.
Mums in varying colors really feel like fall to me, along with pumpkins of course
maybe see the Habitat for Humanity Restore for a big mirror. I want to make a flannel pumpkin like the sweater one I did last year so I’m looking for a good flannel at the thrift stores. Maybe try a velvet diy too.

The thrift stores are outrageous everywhere. I saw a blue glass candy dish, missing it’s lid, at one of my local Goodwills the other day & they were asking $39.99 for it. I literally gasped out loud. They were also asking $19.99 for a stained couch pillow. I ended up getting angry & walking out. I don’t plan on going back, as I can buy brand new for less than Goodwill prices. I love your ideas, Leslie. You can never be too early for fall decor!! 😊
This year I plan on doing an early fall decor, and then closer to Thanksgiving I’ll add more colorful decor. Like a lot of people fall is my favorite season to decorate for, so I have a lot of fall decor and like to switch it up, even my place settings on my table get switched up. Not a big Halloween person either, so I may just put up a couple of antique pieces I’ve had for years, like a sleeping black cat, and pumpkin pillow, nothing dramatic. Good video.
I’m over all of the cutsie Halloween decor. I’m going with a more mature, sophisticated fall decor.
I will set up one small area of Halloween for my grandkids. They sprint into my house when I put up seasonal decor. It’s just adorable.

New Subscriber here! I totally agree with you about the current fall options out in the stores. I miss the days of classy elegant decor pieces. I decorate for fall with a mix of vintage, elegant, and rustic with just a touch of whimsy thrown in. I start decorating in Aug. since it takes me a longer time now that I am older and I like to stretch out the season a little more as well. Beautiful fall goodness in your video!

No apples here. I had an apple kitchen for way to long. I agree the earthy things are my go to. Squirrels and acorns and wooden bowls and mustard yellow with orange and cremes.
I too love the Fall. I don’t do Halloween decorating at all…just as a believer I don’t celebrate Halloween …never even had my kids go Halloweening…and they didn’t miss a thing!! To this day (son is 32 and daughter 29 …still don’t do Halloween !) but love the muted either blush color or the light blue and love all the whites, cremes, and natural colors like sage too! I agree decorating the way you want, your tastes and colors. Fall is so pretty with the color of the leaves, the different textures. I used to decorate for Halloween but for the past several years I just do fall. You have given many great ideas and things to think about.

I love fall and always look forward to the season. I am so with you on all the kitsch that is in stores and love your "trends". The natural elements, cozy, muted colours are what I go for. I love adding in vintage copper pieces and also think pears are a beautiful fall fruit. Thanks for all the inspiration.

I love these colors. The jewel tones are gorgeous. I'm sick of farmhouse. Theme rooms are for children. I'm going to look for fabric to sew pillow covers. I like to start my fall decor in September and go through the end of November. Taking off a week to do Halloween is not something I want to do.
Fall is a challenge for me. Our weather won't dip below 100 until until the end of September. Not much cozy here. "Sweater Weather " is not until the end of December. Not complaining. I love the sunshine.
Thrift stores are absolutely ridiculous!!! When was young we seldom had anything new. Everything came from thrift stores and garage sales. I still have a couple pieces of used furniture my parents picked up in the early 60swhuvh is awesome. now I can't hardly afford to shop at a thrift store. I still love garage sales but they start at 5am and I don't do mornings.😅

Your video gave me joy today❤! I was living in anger bcuz my husband of 37yrs walked out on me 😢. I’ve been trying to move my stuff out of house in Alaska since I was 19yrs old and my kiss’s stuff/memories(we were snowbirds) to TX and I’m just so angry!
But I sat down to take a break and watched your video it brought me out of my anger. You sweet voice and your excitement I allowed myself to think how I get to redecorate this yr cuz I used to try to appease our decor for him also! But NOT this yr!!!! Now I get to decorate my way!
