Hey you got it fixed and not , more missed fire is all good what about just taking the prongs out of the connector and install them in the new connector since the lock tab broke on the OEM is all was missing 🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

I found it easier on a 2001 4.6l to de-pin the connector and put a new one on. Just have to make sure to get the MotorCraft WPT986. Wells Vehicle Electronics WVE 1P1483 seemed to be a cheaper alternative but I cannot confirm the fitment. Not an issue for me but I also noticed the OEM uses two different gauge wires and the aftermarkets didn't.

No, just crimp and heat shrink does the trick
