My Friday night has been made !!! You guys are so encouraging and encourage me to continue to pursue my relationship with Christ
A wise man once challenged me with this question…”If God gave you an eraser to remove all of your poor choices, bad experiences, or sinful decisions, would you do that? Erase them?” With his help, I realized that those were all moments in which I grew in the Lord. Those were moments when I learned and more importantly experienced His grace. Don’t wish them away. Bask in His grace and share what He has taught you through those things. Carlos wins this one, for me. 🙂
God will use all our circumstances, good or bad. Regret is the enemy reminding you of "mistakes". A small word like "all" is so powerful.... ALL things work together for good.......don't be reminded of mistakes, be reminded that God was there even when you were making them. Love you guys!!!!!!
Regrets can be a tricky thing… but I do usually see it as that I wouldn’t be where I am in life today if it weren’t for those pivotal moments, even the difficult ones- primarily the difficult ones. It’s kind of like learning new lessons. It’s so easy to look back on “mistakes” you made in the past, or “wrong” choices you made, but I always think about it as if you didn’t make those choices or choose the direction of that path at that time, it really wouldn’t have lead you to where you are right now. But God always has a way for you and will always lead you where you are meant to be. I’m learning that every single day. ❤ love you guys!
I agree with both of you in a way. If God gave me the opportunity to turn back in time to change the decision I could do for better I would. Do I regret going through those season of change? No. It lead me to where I am today. I live where I’m at currently in my life and I wouldn’t change that. Thank you guys for showing us who you are and being so raw with us. I’ve always looked up to both of you for standing up what you believe in. God bless you always!! ❤️❤️

For the WOWS I feel like I agree with agree with Los because the choices you make do lead you to where you are today. I mean yeah situations could have turned out differently but God puts you in these “seasons” to help you with what you are about to encounter next in your life. As far as "Regrets" go, I agree with you both. I see them as lessons that help us grow and I see it as choices that we made when we weren't always walking on the narrow path with our Heavenly Father

Such a good conversation! Like many, I think I agree with both sides. As a Believer, it’s good to mourn the sin/mistakes we’ve made (aka “regrets”) as it goes against who our loving Father is and who we love…BUT God redeems and works ALL things together for good (like someone commented) and continues to sanctify us. So we can regret/mourn our failings but live in the grace of God that it didn’t surprise Him and He still used it in His sovereignty to lead us where we are and we don’t dwell on it bc Christ has covered it on the cross already and it spurs us on to live in holiness. I think you can mix both opinions, maybe it’s more two sides of the same coin 😊

💙💚🖤 Alexa, you are so adorable! My daughter used to watch your movie "Spy Kids" over and over when she was a kid. Years later we love watching you in your Christian movies, my favorite is "The Remaining", her favorite is "Do You Believe" I have to agree with you about regrets. I wish I could have done things differently in regards to raising my daughter, but God is good and he forgives us. My daughter now has her own daughter and is such a great mom. I guess as long as we learn from our mistakes and know that God forgives us it is all good!

Regret is tricky and yes sometimes you regret the choices you have made in the past but I think how thankful I am that God put my husband in my path and we had the most wonderful 24 years together and 3 children even though God took him to soon from our family I have to keep the faith that God has plans for everything.

I happen to agree with Alexa I also feel the same way and relate. There's been plenty times I have not been in God's will and there have been consequences for that. God is so gracious and merciful that something good and beautiful can come out of our not so great choices and experiences; we learn, evolve and it's also our testimony for others. I think regrets are all about a learning experience that God guides you to. They don’t necessarily have to be bad they can be good sometimes it all depends on how you think about it. I’ve had some regrets but now that I realize it and the situation I was in it turned out that way for a reason.

My husband and I say you're going to have to regrets in life. The key is picking the regrets you're okay ending the day with. And then there's regrets by the world's standards and regrets by God's standards I guess. Like when it comes to God, my husband, my family and how I treat others I don't want to have many regrets but I definitely have a few and would change them if i could. When it comes to regrets by the world's standards, like how the world defines success or what makes sense to the world, then yeah I have quite a few there also. It would be nice to make more money and go on more trips or have more "life experiences" but not at the expense of my family if that makes sense. But God doesn't waste our suffering or our mistakes and regrets. I truly believe when you give your life to God he uses your mistakes, your hurts and your triumphs to encourage and love others and ultimately glorify Him. He makes all things beautiful in its time.
