This 2005 Mercedes-Benz ML 270 CDI (W163) was our family car and daily driver for a couple of years in 2019-2021. It is currently undergoing major repairs to be roadworthy again and I will probably use it as my daily driver when it's ready.
Да, с такой машиной всегда найдëтся работа по поддержанию и восстановлению. Мне повезло больше, достался w 163 более ухоженный, да и климат у нас на юге посуше. Я уважаю и обожаю такие машины. И вам респект за ваши старания.
Thanks! The rust is always an issue here in our climate…
Transmission oil, filter, electrical plug, and seal need to change. Try changing front and rear differential/transfer case oil 2 times before swapping parts for Transfer case noise issues.
Oil change is in my todo-list… Actually changing all the liquids in the car. Weirdly enough, the suspected transfer case noise dissappeared while the car sat in the garage…
At least this one is indoors, some days you look freezing working outside lol. I don't know anything about the W163, I had a couple of W202s. Last Merc I had was the worse car ever and the dealership absolute expletives x 1000!
Well, it isn't even proper winter yet... But yes, indoor work is beginning to feel like a good idea with current weather... W163 is a nice car to have if the winter is very snowy... Sadly a 17-year old Mercedes is not the cheapest car to keep running...
