Using Bills 'drive the gun into the slide stop' reload technique....I'm getting the slide sent forward before a round is chambered probably 1 out of 10 reloads. Im also getting a malfunction (probably 1 in 12 reloads) where the chamber is empty and the round from the mag is wedged between the chamber and magazine, possibly an over insertion issue and the round is bumping out. What the fuck am I doing wrong?
For any of us unfortunate cops that have to have flip top magazine pouches per policy any suggestions on purchase of mag? I unsnap the flip top and dig my thumb In behind the magazine and draw up. Having strong pressure with my thumb and middle finger. The best time I can get is about 2 seconds right now speed mode. Any suggestions are much appreciated!
The M&P magazine springs are so cheap and weak they wear out in less than 300 rounds. As they do they don't have enough strength to push the slide stop all the way so it does not fully catch the slide. That makes it easy for the fresh magazine to bump the slide stop loose and release the slide. Mine got so weak they wouldn't even engage the slide stop.I pulled the springs slightly and that extended them enough to work for the moment I'm now looking for aftermarket springs.
