Ive said it before and Ill say it again. Those men have some right swagger and on parade that's what it's all about. Gleaming effort and one of my all time fav vids on UA-cam
God bless Scotland and God bless our United Kingdom! 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴
I've listened to over versions of the 79ths Farewell to Gibraltar but I think having the Brass in here makes it alot better. As for Scotland the Brave, one cannot dislike Scotland the Brave. Love from Canada.
Yeah, it's like, the only bagpipe tune for which I prefer the added brass section.
Protestant boys flute band East Belfast is a good version my friend, just flutes and drums, but amazing 😍😍
@@dot2562 link?
Yes and the sun is shining in Glasgow - what more could you want?
@@dot2562 not a fan of lodge bands, bass drum is too extra, best one is imperial corps of drums, Liverpool best lodge band out there
I kinda like it when the drum major says rolls quick March and then the band start playing
One of favourite 2/4 marches. Learned it 45 years ago and haven't grown tired of it. Grand sight. Parading and playing more complex tunes is not easy. Especially at Scottish military pipe band pace.
Well done!
You know what? I think of it like a flute, Flute is easy, so this one is easy for
Absolutely beautiful.,. Does not what anyone thinks this is pure Scots you can get😚💞
Matter
I never get tired of hearing this catchy tune.Love the buildup and improvisation between the pipes and brass giving it a unique sound.
Not improvised at all! It’s written to the book
They sound incredible. I prefer just the pipes and drums, and of course the cute pony!
I think the Military Band and The Pipes go together superbly in the 79ths Farewell to Gibraltar song - its now my favourite overtaking The Atholl Highlanders!
If you want to hear a superb version of 79th’s look up the march up to beating retreat in 2017
I love the liveliness of the tune/music/piece. Much love from 🇵🇭
Thanks iActivateMC
iActivateMC Oi musta
scotland the brave is my favorite tune from any pipe band
I lived in Scotland for 12 years, 8 years in Edinburgh and four years in Glasgow and I never saw both brass and pipes together like this, sounds absolutely wonderful. Is it a new thing since the amalgamation of the Scottish regiments?
I was wondering the same...
@@fizzinthecity8765 There must be some really talented musicians working together on this.
No Richard. So a units pipes and drums will be made up of tenor, snare(side) and bass drums, as well as bagpipes.
However for large parades or important parades it is not unusual for other musicians to get drafted in to support them. This can sometimes be another units band, or usually the corps of music.
This piece of music is amazing though, and these men play it amazingly well. Very well done
@@brendanhannan1753 It is really brilliantly done I think, I love to get a recording of it. So did pipes and brass always play together sometimes?
The royal regiment of Scotland now has a brass band as well as all the individual Bn Pipes and Drums.
Keep them coming Jim thankyou love it 🇬🇧
Thanks Joyce, I wish the parades happened more often ... I will try and get as many as I can.
Celtic Brothers 🏴🏴
Let's not forget our English and Irish brothers aswell. We disagree and argue at times, but when the time comes it is all British hands to the pumps.
@@YARROWS9 Maybe the other countries are more pure-blooded however being part English, Scottish and Irish I think its best we celebrate our roots as a whole.
❤️ this march!!
Love this video, watching over and over. The Grahams are here !!
2 Scots P&D and the Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland - best of the lot!

my daily fix
Mine too!
This is just one of many reasons why our Scotland brothers should remain united with us under one flag and one Queen. This unique musical prowess stirs the heart of every Briton.
Fantastic
