You are going to cry, laugh, smile throughout watching the show. I have loved almost each and every character in this show.
I love this show because for a story teller it’s easy to capture audience by love , sex , violence but this has none of the above. It’s really close to realistic village lifestyle and it’s from tvf ❤
This show is purely emotion driven show.. You can relate both the patient and anger in Abhishek character.. And how he adjust in the environment of village.. And the cherry on the cake is Vikash and Pradhan ji.. Both have a very good comic timing.. ❤❤

@@arpanmandal210 I have talked about maharashtra and south not north. We don't have rural areas like this in maharashtra or south. Rural places is maharashtra are more like smaller version of cities. U can call them towns. These towns have everything from malls to theatres/multiplexes but smaller and lesser in number. Nothing like phulera

In this show, all the character's acting is just phenomenal. It's so effortless. If you could understand Hindi you would understand what I'm saying. dialogue delivery, timing, it is amazing. This show is slow moving, but you never feel bored.. being a rural Indian i know how accurate these things are.. just amazing ❤

-- I like the Simplicity and the pace of the every scene...no rush just calmness in the whole series...every character in this show has its own charm..& the dialogue delivery with little humour..majestic shots just wow giving full vibe of the village life. ..these are few things that made me like this show so much...and it tops my must watch list....😊

Just simple stroy of a village and some characters can just hypnotised you, thats the beauty of panchayat series 😊
DM means District Magistrate(sometimes called District Collector) is the top most bureaucrat in a district(sub division of state). They are in charge of all the administrative/Government branches of their districts. They are recruited by conducting an exam called the UPSC Civil Services Exam. The top most rank holders get the IAS(Indian Administrative Service) who becomes DM, other top rank holders get IPS(Indian Police Service) top Police Officers etc.
It is one of the toughest exams to crack in the whole world.
But bro still an MLA of a ruling party can fuck up with a DM

Indian villages are gem.. the real life exists there.
People are so welcoming and heartening.
I go for medical camps in villages, stays with the villagers. They are poor as compared to urban people but they arrange everything for me collectively.
Some will arrange for water, some for food, some arrange for tea, the mattress and bedsheets comes from different house.
Iast winters, i was with 3 female doctors for 3 days camps in a remote village, people were concerned for girls being uncomfortable so they watched out oustside our room for whole night just for us to feel safe. We stayed in panchayat office same as abhishek is living in the series..
Urbanization and industrialization have now made village life impossible. You are loving the show because it is raw..

Series called "panchayat "it means 5 wise elders of village, which is an Indian sub governmental body operational at rural lvl named " panchayati Raj ". Raj mean rule. Panchayati raj is govern by gov as well as elected leaders or " Village Pradhan". Secretary is government asset who works directly under Village development office. Project is passed with Pradhan and secretary and other dignitaries approval. I hope that fills basic.

The show is great because it's simple yet entertaining, and yes, that includes the pacing, which is leisurely without being a drag. Streaming has been a real boon for Indians, lots of well done and acted content on both simple and not so simple plots and actually talented writers, actors, and directors, unlike Bollywood where it's one big nepotism scam for the most part.
Bollywood does release good movies based on simple day-to-day life stories, but it's rare.
That said, Laapataa Ladies just came out and you should check it out. One example of Bollywood making a good movie that doesn't involve big stars but is extremely well done. Similar to 12th Fail.
