Jennifer Lawrence produces and stars in No Hard Feelings, a laugh-out-loud, R-rated comedy from director Gene Stupnitsky (Good Boys) and the co-writer of Bad Teacher.
Maddie (Lawrence) thinks she’s found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to "date" their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out before she loses it all.

Any house with taxes that high are worth a fortune, so if this is wasn't a movie, I'm pretty sure a normal person would just mortgage or take out a small HELOC on the house and just pay that back in smaller payments...just saying 🙂

@@robertisham5279 Yeah, its money borrowed from your house.'s equity. Let's say your house is worth $250k and you have a mortgage balance of $50k, it means you got $200k in equity.
Most banks will let you borrow between 50-75% of your equity. You would be able to pay off your taxes and other debts. Plus if you had enough equity and plan wisely, you might have enough to cover several years of payments on the mortgage while you get yourself financially stable.
It sure beats giving up your home to the city over a few thousand in taxes.
