Just look at the entire RTR roster. Chelsea, James and Adam do ProAm events. Also James does Drift Masters in Europe.

Some people really don’t get how different and how big the gap is between grassroots events and FD. Every single FD driver could and would literally obliterate any grassroots driver in pretty much every metrics possible whether it is sheer driving skills or mental strength. I too can’t stand these type of posts from totally oblivious guys that probably never pulled an ebrake in their lives before outside of parking at the local fast food. Like, it infuriates me when in the FD chat I see people shitting on Kyle Mohan for example, saying that he doesn’t belong in FD when the dude literally dominates everybody in Hot pits events. It’s like saying that they could beat any UFC fighter that happens to get knocked out.

      This is super well said.
It's hard for people to understand until they know a driver. I have a friend in the UFC and it's a similar story. He has a mixed record but you forget that he is competing against the best of the best. FD is no different. If you are the best from your area that means you are middle of the pack in the entire US

@@jacobgettins a large portion of the audience have a hard time understanding how violent and physically demanding drifting is, especially at its top level like FD. Travis Reeder’s suggestion to get judges as passengers to get them to better understand the physics of the sport is a fantastic idea but maybe something could be done so that the general public can too understand it. Not in the forms of ride alongs obviously but maybe sorts of infographics filled with stats and data on how much Gs a driver experience and to what it is similar etc. Could be cool to have a segment like “the science of FD” or something like that.
I don’t know if these are doable or even good ideas but I figured that if anybody could have an influence on FD officials it is you
