Great content as usual. The harvest gang will probably never have as good an experience as the time they have spent working for you, and will remember it long into their working career. Work is not a job when you love what you do.
Good update James, such a shame about getting parts it makes sense for suppliers to keep customers happy not make them wait days. Open day would be a good idea , I know I would like to come and see your set up after watching your videos.
Good morning James another outstanding video again looks like the lads are doing a great job with cultivation work looking forward to seeing all 5 drills going. Looks like glin has fallen in love with the 1167 I must admit they are a fantastic machine ❤
Always great to watch your video updates each night from my neighbour,I went back to watch videos from 2015 when you bought first Joker and KR drill via me. An open day would be a great event and perhaps when the new machinery building is completed. Looking forward to see the Xerion 12.650 on demo if possible, thanks James
Thank you for the update James, I think an open day would be a really great idea, Its a real problem these days getting parts for anything, gone are the days that the dealers would stock loads of parts, just all down to price etc, thanks again James keep up the good work
Great update James, Sundays are now brilliant, Wardys waffle in the morning then your update. Sad to see the harvest team leaving, send them my best regards. I hope you don't have too much more down time with machine breakdowns.l'm looking forward to the next video. Thanks James.
When I first started in the industry I was put under the tutelage of a chap called Tony Naylor. He used to deal with your father who he’d always shout “Pecky” down the phone when he answered. They used to do great business together….that was 30 yrs ago 😳🥲
Oh there was good times there indeed, I was there the same time as James and yes I can confirm he was a tart back then with his red golf, also James you said in an earlier video you don’t do boats?? I remember your 21st, on a boat in fancy dress, good times, really enjoy your videos well done James and team 👍
As someone has already said. Wardy's Waffle in the morning followed by you in the afternoon. makes great Sunday watching. I am stagger by AGCO and their replacement part issues. The unnecessary down time is frustrating beyond belief 😐. I would imagine John Deere would be jumping up and down trying to convince you how much better their part replacement set up is😉
Good content as always. The cracks on that field from above, like a massive sheet of weld mesh. I see the government are withdrawing £3 billion of funding from Defra now as well. Should pay for a few more hotels and meal vouchers.
Boss of the year. So refreshing to see a boss who realises you have to speculate to accumulate. Getting all the tractors upgraded to cat 4 means less down time if something goes wrong.
Hi James loving the content and weekly updates within the farm keep it up 😊 I have a couple of questions. 1. Who’s is the toy tractor that was on the back seats in the box :) 2. When job vacancies come available do you look for a certain amount of experience or would you take on a newbie to the industry/farm? 3. Can I help during harvest 2025 on a chaser? And no I don’t have experience 4. Where did you get the stainless steel draws from that are in your office?
Thanks for the updates on the business, very informative, your telling it like it is and the way many of us from farming families are thinking, where is the food to feed our children and grand children coming from ? Getting food from abroad is not ideal when UK farmers are paid to produce nothing but what happens if the supply lines are cut. Farmers need to be paid for the production of food, shoppers need to pay more for food, supermarkets should not be calling the tune, sorry rant over. On the question of an open day, yes please, would willing travel to that.
Great video as always James ,open day sounds great would even travel down from Aberdeenshire, cut out the fizzy juice 10000 steps a day Mabye more and Healthy food , and plenty of water the weight will drop off keep up the great videos cheers mark
Very Technical channel if your not into farming, but i understand most of what you say as i was farming for a decade 1979 -1989, sadly a lot of big estates round here have been sold off or broken-down from 10,000 acres to 5 000 or less , love farming and hope all UK farmers get all the support they can. PS , i have had this problem with parts from Germany not France and my argument was why not have a parts warehouse in UK, makes sense.
Your drivers, interest in the welfare of his cultivator comes across very well. It is application of horse power that’s effective. If only every driver cared in this way, the investment and maintenance of ground engaging tackle is horrendous compared with the tractor. Thanks for interesting vlog.
James, another great update. With you 100% on tracks or tyres argument. Wife sat down in the office to catch me watching the last 5 minutes of your update, and comments "you farmers are all the same James Gillet collar in the same state as yours". I won't print the reply but really. More to the point, when is the earliest you would start drilling and in what crop order? All the best, Nick.
hi James, can u show us how you do spray logs or crop logs, sprays Fert, and dates etc, what way you do it. looking for inspiration. Great Videos love every minute of them.
a quick polite question?, 24:10 the welding on the rear implement, how do you stop the electric current in the welding process from damaging the tractor's electrics?
Great videos James I think you speak with passion and come across so well and everyone can learn a little bit from each video. Keep it up. Have you thought about maybe a switch to John Deere? Or is that the devils words 😂 I loved the 7290R thought it was a great machine and back up was amazing from Ben burgess. All the best Josh
Hope you got a good deal on the used Terrano cultivator given the work you had to do on it. Good safety point on Cat 4 hitches 👏🏻 Rain needed next in Wiltshire too👍🏻
Did you mention starting drilling on the 4th Sept. Is that osr? surely not cereals? 1 ton per acre diffence here between September drilled and early October WB. Good luck though fantastic operation you run. 👍
could the videographer when James is for instance showing the colour difference of the pea sample or any other detailed information zoom in so we can see please not whishing to offend anyone, just better for the detail, one other thing what % of subscribers would you expect to turn up on an open day🤣🤣
With the downtime with spare part delivery problems, would this affect your next purchase of machinery... Or are Fendt worth the wait for parts..? I would certainly enjoy an open day if you ran one..
Cracking video James+crew Your the definition of a boss with his finger on the pulse of your business a rare trait in many businesses these days 😊 sorry to laugh at your parts from 🇫🇷 but your pause+dismay by their ordering method is the most laughable thing!!! But that’s the Frogs attitude with a lot of things I bet ✈️😉 hopefully you’ll still get a good response from them when you visit 🤞🏻😀 ALSO looking forward to seeing the Class demo 🤞🏻 best of luck to the 🇦🇺 lads!!!
James, another great video. Thanks. Your comment " red diesel, white diesel, taxation is the only difference. Are you sure. EN 590, white diesel has a cetane rating of at least 51. What cetane rating is your red diesel ? Bet you will not get a straight answer. What is the cetane number Fendt require, should be in Operators Manual.
Great video James it’s not a very good advert for Agco if you don’t get a order, it by 12 o’clock you have to wait another full day I wonder if they use computers, in France or pen and paper the parts division should be on the ball, especially for such a big company and a very, interesting watch as always a open day, would be a good idea it’s just a distance thing for me 👍
Hi James, How do you market such large quantities of grain every year. Do you sell a certain amount per month or do you try to corner the market. How much do you sell at harvest? Thanks
Hello James. Do your grainstore staff operate a 24 hours shift system during the time you are combining. Any chance or a video around the store, Control room and your Optical Colour sorter. Thankyou. Kevin.
The main reason former customers used for not replacing Mercedes based drivetrains usually MB having a problem with admitting to a defect and not people like Class or there dealer's
Hi James I was watching your questions slot at the end of your video one person raised the question of an open day i certainly would be interested from a farming background in my younger days would travel down from County Durham Durham kind regards John
Question , when it comes to a lot of the implements in the field, do you use genuine or aftermarket? and if so does the aftermarket stuff lasts as long?
Great content as usual. The harvest gang will probably never have as good an experience as the time they have spent working for you, and will remember it long into their working career. Work is not a job when you love what you do.
An open day sounds great 👍
Another great update, best thing on telly! Moreton Morrell is where I served my apprenticeship back in 1970. 👌👍
Good update James, such a shame about getting parts it makes sense for suppliers to keep customers happy not make them wait days. Open day would be a good idea , I know I would like to come and see your set up after watching your videos.
Love your banter with the boys brilliant 😂
James shows the rest how to be a real gaffer and its great!
Yet another stunning informative blog... been arguably the
best farming follow around!!!
Great sense of humour also
James, if you have an open day i can promise a crew from Kent will attend, regards, Tim Whitehead
Good morning James another outstanding video again looks like the lads are doing a great job with cultivation work looking forward to seeing all 5 drills going. Looks like glin has fallen in love with the 1167 I must admit they are a fantastic machine ❤

I think that an open day is a great idea
I must say I enjoy how clear you explain everything. And I never seen such a Clean your Farm is. Good content 👌
Great Sunday evening watch! 👍
Another great video, very informative as usual, I believe this site will go from strength to strength.
love your humour James
Love the videos and machinery. You have a great team of people. Love the banter. Cheers.
Great update James, Sundays are now brilliant, Wardys waffle in the morning then your update. Sad to see the harvest team leaving, send them my best regards. I hope you don't have too much more down time with machine breakdowns.l'm looking forward to the next video. Thanks James.

Really liking your channel honestly and scale. Definitely becoming a favourite. Yes I would attend a open day if you had one.
When I first started in the industry I was put under the tutelage of a chap called Tony Naylor. He used to deal with your father who he’d always shout “Pecky” down the phone when he answered. They used to do great business together….that was 30 yrs ago 😳🥲

Open day. I'll be there.
Good content as always. The cracks on that field from above, like a massive sheet of weld mesh. I see the government are withdrawing £3 billion of funding from Defra now as well. Should pay for a few more hotels and meal vouchers.
Open day would be very interesting
Red & white diesel option needs to be consigned to history…
Great update open day a great idea cousin Michael can serve the magnums 😂
As always, excellent content!
Boss of the year. So refreshing to see a boss who realises you have to speculate to accumulate. Getting all the tractors upgraded to cat 4 means less down time if something goes wrong.
Deffo I would attend 🎉

Interesting to hear you went to Lackham Ag college. I was there in 1964-5. Agriculture has changed somewhat since then!
Very Technical channel if your not into farming, but i understand most of what you say as i was farming for a decade 1979 -1989, sadly a lot of big estates round here have been sold off or broken-down from 10,000 acres to 5 000 or less , love farming and hope all UK farmers get all the support they can. Would of been good to see some footage of everyone working on the new cultivator and what's being done 👍
Thought Morton Morrell is in Warwickshire.
I went to Lackham College in Wiltshire. Like you a three year sandwich course. Great college.
Great video again
a quick polite question?, 24:10 the welding on the rear implement, how do you stop the electric current in the welding process from damaging the tractor's electrics?
You knocked that one out of the park . Spares big issue . You and other big concerns should take these suppliers to task
Hi, I enjoy your videos every time. speaking of Michael Horsch conference, if you can make the video of it, that would be great.
cheers!
Hi,I've been reading about LSW tyres and they seem to have less compaction than tracks and dual tires, have you looked into using the LSW tires.cheers
Boys land that’s what he got your farming friend in Kent

Hi James, excellent video, as usual. Watching from NZ. When were you at Lackham? I was there from 88-93
Did you mention starting drilling on the 4th Sept. Is that osr? surely not cereals? 1 ton per acre diffence here between September drilled and early October WB. Good luck though fantastic operation you run. 👍

U fukin love it James great content 🎉
James, you need to start selling PX merchandise online, polo's, gilets, travel mugs etc
Hi James
There are companies in this country that repair ECU,s with 1 day turn round.
Cracking video James+crew Your the definition of a boss with his finger on the pulse of your business a rare trait in many businesses these days 😊 sorry to laugh at your parts from 🇫🇷 but your pause+dismay by their ordering method is the most laughable thing!!! Great video James Agco needs to get there parts system sorted in Europe you shouldn’t waiting 3 days for parts
James, did you do the National Diploma in Farm Mechanisation. I went there in 86 to 89. A great 3 years.
Ever consideredQuadtrac or xerion on tracks would be interesting to compare against your existing machines
James, another great video. Thanks. Your comment " red diesel, white diesel, taxation is the only difference. Are you sure. EN 590, white diesel has a cetane rating of at least 51. Hi James, How do you market such large quantities of grain every year. Do you sell a certain amount per month or do you try to corner the market. How much do you sell at harvest? Thanks
I would attend your Open Day, if it were to happen.
Another great video. Can I ask what camera you are using. Love the depth of field and quality. Thanks
Hello James. Do your grainstore staff operate a 24 hours shift system during the time you are combining. Any chance or a video around the store, Control room and your Optical Colour sorter. Thankyou. Kevin.

Hi James I was watching your questions slot at the end of your video one person raised the question of an open day i certainly would be interested from a farming background in my younger days would travel down from County Durham Durham kind regards John
Question: What SFI 2023 actions have you got in hand on your land? Are you doing any SFI actions as a contractor on other estates?
Would definitely attend an open day, could double it up as a careers day?
Hi James, i wonder if you farm any of my grandfather's old land around Colsterworth
I see a fendt crawler in your future lol
Question , when it comes to a lot of the implements in the field, do you use genuine or aftermarket? and if so does the aftermarket stuff lasts as long?
Why do you run twin track crawlers rather than quad tracs?
12 o'clock lunchtime! I thought you meant 12 o'clock midnight....typical French!
Do you prefer 2 tracks to four, like a quadtrac or a 8rx
Claas have far better back up on parts! CNH are the same as Agco, order after 12pm on Friday and maybe get the part by Tuesday !
