Just got my S24 Ultra yesterday as well as the above Samsung screen protector and followed the instructions in the video and installed it straight out of the box before it had a chance to get anything on it as in the video and it is perfect. There was a slight line across the middle as the instructions there could be and by this morning all gone. Must admit I was dreading it as my previous S10 plus already came with one fitted so no need to fit one but this was as easy as it looks on the video. Thank you for the video.
I think that while they don't do much for the 24 ultra, I'm noticing a significant reduction in glare on my 24+. I think it's a solid move for those with the standard 24 or 24+. Even more so considering they come with most of the samsung cases when you pre-order.
I bought this screen protecter a few days ago. It will be delivered on Tuesday and the phone itself on Friday! 🎉 I am glad you find it a good product. I was also hoping for a review because you are the only one I trust 😅 Many thanks for all the S24 videos!
@e_26f I actually don't recommend the screen protector. I used it 2 weeks and suddenly noticed a lot of scratches which looked very deep so I was scared it damaged the phone itself, so I took the protector of my phone but lucky it was fine. I bought some glass screenprotecters from aliexpress and now I feel my phone is really protected! ☺️
@e_26f The reflection of the phone itself is amazing! But with a glass screenprotecter you have the same as another phone. And with the Samsung film it's not reflective at all!
Just a little hint, I used to work for a cell phone company (for 4 years) and installed these for customers on almost every one of their phones (screen protectors in general, not this specific kind), and the best thing to do would be leave the inbox screen protector on until you apply the new screen. If you pull the screen protector off, then lay the phone down with the screen facing up, dust is going to fall on the screen making it much more likely that you get bubbles unless you spend a good amount of time using tape to suck the dust off the screen. In fact, if there's a clean surface that you are about to apply a protector to, keep the screen facing towards the ground, rather than facing the ceiling. This will stop dust from collecting as you are moving and continuing to work. As you said in the video 'there is no better time than to install the screen protector right now', but then the phone was left on the table with the screen facing up as your hands were moving over top of it opening boxes, etc. For newbies, my hint of keeping the screen upside down is very very helpful. It helped me for my first 20 or 30 installs until I became so fast I didn't need to. Just a hint for anybody who happens to read this comment, because it is a wonderful feeling when you finalize the screen protector, look at the screen and it looks so good, that it looks like the original screen
I haven't used a screen protector since the S9+. It feels wrong slapping anything over the amazing screens Samsung makes. I opted for 2 yrs of Samsung Care + for $20 and an Otterbox defender pro. As soon as they fix the vivid color settings, this will be a perfect phone IMO.
I got it free with a silicon case, which was also free thanks to the pre-order deal. Both will be here tomorrow and my S24 Ultra too. Since it does not seem to do much, I will probably not install it, but it's good to know it works.
Only thing I got free with the promos were the buds. Had to end up buying the screen protector as well as that nano pop case from caseology. Got their case cheaper on their Amazon store. Not gonna lie though, I'm jealous a lot of you somehow got several things for free
@@jhulenoscarantezanamendez6106 I did a bit of research first on the best glass screen protectors to buy, had to pay a tenner ,not the cheapest but works well, it's also a good idea to register the same fingerprint multiple times, that makes a big difference.
Used on my S23 Ultra. Very helpful protector screen stayed beautiful. Also protected from a few minor accidents that could have been damaging to the screen if the protector were not on. Have those on order.
@@davidyang9902 I changed out every 6 months or so to get a nice new appearance, but honestly it did very well. Saved me from a damaged screen a few times. One occasion I thought I had screen deep scratch. I removed the protector and to my amaze, it was only the protector damaged. It works well with the finger print scanner. Yes, I would recommend and easy to install. I have a Tab S9 + but don't use a screen protector on it.
Don't you find it annoying that the screen protector interferes with your finger when you swipe the edge panel? The screen protector should have been a few millimeters wider.
Have it on my S24 ultra for 4 days, the edges are quite sharp and sadly it scratches very quickly. It also doesn't fit the screen perfectly, it seems a bit to small. Application was fairly easy to do, it also doesn't affect the fingerprint sensor.
I bought these and have been absolutely satisfied with the quality and responsiveness of the display. No issues with the installation no air bubbles dust or flaws
Good to know. It's funny how Samsung and other manufacturers develop all this tech for the screen when most folks throw on screen protectors (or maybe not most?). They should probably spend more or equal time developing high quality protectors, or most simply: just sell the phone with a built in protector again, problem solved for everyone. Oh no, I lose a mm! We have cases too. Also, there are some good quality 3rd party screen protectors, none will match the actual screen. I wouldn't blindly listen to that without doing your own research.
That's a huge downside for me. I was considering removing it until I seen how a few people state that their ultra was still prone to scratches despite the updated glass.
i installed it only in a day on my s24 ultra then after that i removed it right away coz the screen looks so dim and feels like cheap with the screenprotector on and also the sides are indeed so sharp. annoying while I'm playing games.
4:00 That's because the anti-reflection comes from the Gorilla Glass Armor itself. NOT the screen protector. That's why the S24 Ultra looks so amazing WITHOUT a screen protector.
WARNING: I tried Spigen's glass and I'm returning it after just a few hours due to fingerprint reader issues, being a dust magnet, and, for some reason, it doesn't cover the width of the screen, which makes dust collecting even worse. I'm guessing they based it off of the S23U which had a curved screen and needed to end early so it wouldn't curl and lift when it reached the tapered sides. This screen protector has mostly negative reviews on Samsung's site (via your affiliate link). Any idea why? They talk about fitment issues and bumping into it on the sides when swiping or using the s pen.
All I can say about that is they are really picky moaning gits , I have it on mine and it's sound , I mean come on ...ohhh i can feel rough bit at the side .. jesus I can't feel a thing , like big tarts they are
Same with the Spigen screen protector, usually happy with them but this one doesnt go to the edges and my fingerprint reader was like half as good. After lots of consideration I'm rocking it raw
My S24 Ultra broke the screen after a 2-foot fall on the cement and it cost me $356 to repair it with a place authorized by Samsung, which after the repair still has the warranty. I now prefer to put a glass screen protector on it, although Don't have anti-reflection than having to pay almost 400 dollars for a screen again.
Thanks for this. You do need to pull up the blue plastic and be careful with camera alignment. Last year i botched my s23 ultra application, so this went better this time.
Most from protectors are less reflective than glass anyway, so i think any film protector should work. Samsung dropped the ball here, no one really likes film protectors. The percent scratches but not cracks or breaks from a fall.
On the older Galaxy S series (like the S20) a screen protector was pre installed. Now it is just that black one. So I bought a screen protector for the screen and the backplate.
If you buy through best buy and have total tech or have samsung care +, just go without a screen protector and if it gets scratched up just get the screen replaced for $30... its the best decision I've ever made because using the phone as it was intended to be without a screen protector is amazing!
its a very nice feeling screen protector and the installation is nice. my only complaint is that its not wide enough for the display and makes the back gesture kind of uncomfortable
To preserve the device's primary selling point, its stunning screen, consider investing in a flip case as a protective measure against potential scratches.
is there a screen protector on the S24 ultra out of the box? At the moment I'm still using the s20+ with the original screen protector still on, although it has lots of scratches after nearly 4 years
I've always rotated the $8 3pk EVG TPU Screen Protector on my S22 Ultra (So easy to install these clear ones, even in my dusty house) every 4 months & I don't have a single micro scratch anywhere on this phone. Also, for people that don't believe in these? I dropped my S22 Ultra from pocket height onto ROCKS! When I picked it up, all I seen was shattered! Then I pulled the TPU off & clean as a whistle! I will be getting a glass clear protector for my 24 Ultra though, it already has enough anti-reflection on the phone.
I have this on s24U and for anyone using the gestures I would not recommend it. The edges are sharp and it only covers the screen, not the black screen border. It makes it so that every time you swipe to go back you scrape againt the edge and it's very uncomfortable..
@@dpleech1Thanks for your input. What did you end up going with? Any glass recommendations? I'm about to take mine off as well. It seriously scrapes bad when trying to do gesture swipes.
@@abelievnguy I put an ESR glass screen protector on. It fits right to the edge and is really nice to use. The finger print reader works fine as well. Just register your finger twice and enable touch sensitivity in display settings. 😁
I must be the only one who used both screen protectors and still saw a crevace in the middle of the phone together with a stubborn small bubble... Read the comments and realized about the issue with edge gestures... glad this came free with samsung credit. Very easy to install but looking bad on my new phone. In the garbage now.
Can anyone tell me how the "feel" of the phone is after installing a film type screen protector? Does it interfere with the smooth writing of the S Pen?
That's my problem -- the s24 ultra has a very, very well made anti reflective screen. I've been using the phone without any protectors when I got it as I was still waiting for the delivery of my screen protector. That's when I realize how gorgeous the screen really is, with its brightness finally allowing me to see the phone under the sun, and it's anti-reflective capabilities. Now I bought the Ringke privacy screen protector. Same one I use for my S23 ultra. I installed it, and utterly disappointed. You see, I've been rocking the s24 without any protection the first few days (or probably already a week) and I was so in love with the screen. Now, with the privacy screen protector on, it took away all the anti-reflection just like in your video. However, I love the idea of having privacy while in public. If I use the phone without protectors, the chances of it getting scratches is a guarantee in the long run. Then again, why they heck did I buy this phone if I won't even enjoy these things from the get go? I'm torn. I traded my s23 ultra to this one (living in the Philippines), and hell, the way they scrutinized my old phone for any scratches, paint chips, and so on was like a doctor doing surgery. THEY MEAN BUSINESS. Good thing all was cleared, so I got the full trade value. If I start rocking the s24 ultra without the protector, chances of the trade value drops dramatically come next year for s25. That's a guarantee The normal wear and tear will eventually find its way to the screen. BUT DAMN. I MISS THE ANTI-REFLECTIVE CAPABILITIES OF THE S24. IT IS THAT GOOD. :(
I know!! I've had my S24 since it released on the 31st. When comparing it to my prior S21ultra, no comparison. I DO NOT WANT TO COVER UP THE MOST GORGEOUS SCREEN I'VE EVER SEEN, WHICH IS ON THE S24! 😭 But I don't want scratches or cracks, either. I just want to make sure I'm getting the protective screen that looks the most like the actual screen!
The only down side on the protector is. Whe you are using swipe back, the shape edges of the protector alway rubbing on my finger very uncomfortable to use the swipe back action.
Great content. Question. If the phone has built-in anti- reflecting coating. Why would you need more anti- reflecting coating on a screen protector 🤔 your better off getting Whitestone dome film screen protector.
Glass reflects on its own. If you put anything over the S24 Ultra screen, it will be collecting light first and reflect. From all the screen protector reviews I've watch this is the case. I tried Spigen and it reflects like my old S22 Ultra. I took it off and returned them.
Had this one (Came free with phone) and didn't like it. It only barely covers the actual visible part of the screen and doesn't cover any of the bezel. So when I use gestures, my finger would catch the edge of the film. I got the Torras glass one yesterday and that one is insane nice. It covers the bezels and my finger doesn't get caught up. It went on laser straight (comes with tool) with zero bubbles. Glides like butter to. The difference between them is day and night.
I need help quickly, should I put this on it because I'm getting the S24 Ultra tomorrow and I was looking forward to the anti-reflective display, but now when I install the film the reflection is significantly worse
Same dilemma, same dilemma. I'm in love with the anti-reflective screen on the s24 ultra, but utterly disgusted when I finally slapped a protector. :( What can I do, I'd rather protect this so the trade value won't go down for next year's s25 trade.
That was a great comparison video. Thank you. For a complete comparison, could you show 3 things in a future video: S24 Ultra with Samsung screen protector, S24 Ultra without screen protector, and another phone such as an S23 that doesn't have an anti-reflective screen?
In all honesty, I have been evaluating the S24 Ultra for several days, and in comparison, my Note 20 Ultra performs better. While the S24 Ultra's screen appears to have a lower pixel density, that is not my primary concern. The camera images seem excessively processed and over-brightened, resulting in over-sharpening. Even when capturing raw images or examining the camera preview, the quality remains unsatisfactory. In my professional opinion, the Note 20 Ultra is the superior device.
Those you have not yet bought, let me tell you something the film is as good as any other nothing special but the BAD thing is, it does not cover the entire screen there is 1mm margin on either sides so when you use the back gesture(slide your finger from right or left to center) you will feel the rough edge of the screen film on your thumb which become very irritating over time To overcome this, you could apply the film manually and not using the guage provided and keep an offset from one edge so that only side you feel the rough edge while the other feels smooth
Thanks, I'm glad someone did a video on this screen protector as there were lots of negative reviews on Samsung's website. Now I don't know what the fuss was all about. I'll probably pick one up.
@poisin5531 The edge doesn't fully cover the screen but not a big deal to me. Also, I'm using a case so the small lip from that may help keep the edges from peeling up. Hope that helps.
Ive found that Galaxy Screens never scratch up on me. I had my S10+ for 4.5 years thru every weather and place you can imagine and it was absolutely microscopically flawless until..... i dropped it from chest hight onto bare concrete floor. Rip my old friend, now i have a S24 Ultra and im wondering how to protect it without adding a gigantic hardened steel case to this already chunky phone. That foil is not going to do much i think. I got a Cellular Line clear case already that i fully trust to protect 5 sides of my S24 but if it falls on the screen it is certain to break.
I'm not really worried about scratches. The only concern I have is the oleophobic coating wearing off rather quickly around the fingerprint sensor and keyboard area. This happened on my S23 Ultra. It's strange because it didn't happen on my S21 Ultra or Pixel 7 Pro or really any other device before the S23 Ultra. It looks ugly and annoying and I had to clean it several times a day. I don't want the same to happen on my S24 Ultra, but, I don't wanna compromise the brilliant anti-reflective glass with a screen protector that's not as anti-reflective or messes with the colour transmissibility.
How about the oleophobic coating of the screen protector compared with the naked screen? do you see a difference of the fingerprint prints over naked screen ?
just bought myself a samsung s24U i still cant believe its was my dream phone, but now i wanted to ask that the screen protector is made of glass or its just a film [i think it would be glass but not sure]
IMO this screen protector isn't worth it. I just used it because it came with the deal and wanted something day one. But with the s view case, my fingers get caught in the edge of the screen protector and case which is very annoying. I did almost ruin the screen protector, or I thought, but I think I just did one step before another. And the anti reflective is not correct lol.
I thought anti glare lowered the quality of the oled by spreading the light so you couldnt get perfect blacks and whites that oleds are known for. Maybe its not noticeable at all or enough
I cant do screen protectors tbh. Makes the edge feel like crap. I got a plastic one and if I fuck it up or the screen glare is bad imma just get rid of it. Keeping the camera glass protectors, rear glass protector and a case lol
I got 4 cases so i got 4 boxes of screen projectors. I only got 2 cases thoigh because they were apparent sold out of tve egan leatber case and the designer ones i had selected.
I installed my S24 Ultra screen protector, but I messed up the first attempt. I forgot to remove the sticker, so it was not straight. At the time, there were no videos on how to apply it to your phone screen, and instructions dont tell u much so I will do it better next time around 👍 thanks for the video.
I installed uv white stone dome glass 😢 waste of my money it reduced the finger print scan compatibility sometimes i have to push my finger twice 😢 sometimes it fails like 5 times in a row and the pin code menu appears
It's such a shame I wasted one already. I had a line in the middle left to right in the center. I followed their video and I thought I messed up cause I saw a line, also I had a bubble/dust. So I decided to screw it and install a new one. I didn't realize the line would dissappear. :(
I upgraded from an S22 Ultra to the S24 Ultra and don't regret it. The anti reflective properties of the screen are amazing, and I like the flat panel for the s pen.
Hi! I have a Torras clear screen protector, and in fact it is not as reflective on the screen as, for example, on the iPhone 15 pro max, because you can clearly see that the darkness of the ultra's own glass shines through, in my opinion, Torras has the same reflection as your film screen protector. Anyway, it doesn't reflect as much as other phones. The fingerprints didn't work very well on the glass of the s24 ultra either, either my hands are too dry and they are, or the fingerprints on my 24 ultra are broken, but they don't work very well, now with the Torras screen glass, even the fingerprints seem to work better, but it's still the case, that sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, and it's actually quite disturbing and a bit infuriating. iPhone facial recognition works at any time and in any way and all the time. I discovered that we have the same Samsung film screen protector for sale in Estonia, but I will buy it later, Torras's is quite good, although Benks's is an even better screen protector. And I suggest a bit, you can be much more free in the video, feel free to relax more, if others don't like it, don't watch it. Everything is fine with you, and if you happen to have something go wrong, that's Real Life! Thank you for the videos! 🪷
You could have compared it to another phone or to another screen protector, just to see how anti-reflecting it really is. Maybe that's a good idea for another video with the S24 or plus :) Great video anyway.

Also you don't understand how much I've been looking for a comparison between the Official Samsung one and with none at all. Couldn't find a pic. I'm satisfied now can't wait for mine to come now.
Welcome to 2024 timetraveller 😂 be not afraid
You're supposed to take the one it comes with off.
I think that while they don't do much for the 24 ultra, I'm noticing a significant reduction in glare on my 24+.
I think it's a solid move for those with the standard 24 or 24+. Even more so considering they come with most of the samsung cases when you pre-order.
Yeah I agree! This will be great for s24/s24 plus owners
Does ultra have a different screen other than the size?
@@MauriceNL1Yes, the glass is new and different than the lower tier models. I really think the Plus should've had it though.
Did you notice much difference in color vibrance with the protector on the plus?
Would you say it's as good as the ultra natural anti reflection?
I bought this screen protecter a few days ago. It will be delivered on Tuesday and the phone itself on Friday! 🎉 I am glad you find it a good product. I was also hoping for a review because you are the only one I trust 😅 Many thanks for all the S24 videos!
Is it worth it? I'm getting my s24 ultra in a week
Should I have it?
@e_26f I actually don't recommend the screen protector. I used it 2 weeks and suddenly noticed a lot of scratches which looked very deep so I was scared it damaged the phone itself, so I took the protector of my phone but lucky it was fine. I bought some glass screenprotecters from aliexpress and now I feel my phone is really protected! ☺️
@ROCKYENJIPPIE but are the reflections annoying? I'm using my s20 with out a screen protector for 4 years and my screen are scratched and damaged
@e_26f The reflection of the phone itself is amazing! But with a glass screenprotecter you have the same as another phone. And with the Samsung film it's not reflective at all!
@@ROCKYENJIPPIE probably I'll put a screen protector
Thank you, I applied it onto my phone with ease due to your tutorial.
I hope we will eventually see tempered glass protectors with anti glare coating 🤞
Flolab has some
@BlackhatXII they protect against falls, which is still a weakness for the new Gorilla Glass.
@@BlackhatXIIcomplain about tempered glass but proceed to put the worse plastics film protector 😂😂😂
Good thing too that Samsung finally acknowledged the Vivid issue! It's just a matter of waiting for the software update.
@ronandaj I honestly miss the color on my AOD screen more than vivid mode at this point. After a week, I've gotten used to the natural look.
It's only a side by side thing to me. But I do think we deserve an update fix.
@@ajcpLive its still not fixed is it? i just got mine and was messing with that and noticed there was no change lol
@@JDMKEV heyyy oh wow i totally forgot about this... not really sure if it was fixed, but at this point, I couldn't care less anymore.
I got it free with a silicon case, which was also free thanks to the pre-order deal. Both will be here tomorrow and my S24 Ultra too. Since it does not seem to do much, I will probably not install it, but it's good to know it works.
$1800 phone for me, I'm not risking scratches on it but a amazon one works just as well and was much cheaper.
Only thing I got free with the promos were the buds. Had to end up buying the screen protector as well as that nano pop case from caseology. Got their case cheaper on their Amazon store. Not gonna lie though, I'm jealous a lot of you somehow got several things for free
@@NYC_Goody i got a case, screen protector and a charger bank with my credit
I love that it doesn't affect finger print scanning
Yep! That's another reason why some might choose film over glass
I have a glass screen protector, and the fingerprint works perfectly
I had one too, it greatly reduced the sensitivity of the fingerprint sensor of my phone
@@jhulenoscarantezanamendez6106 I did a bit of research first on the best glass screen protectors to buy, had to pay a tenner ,not the cheapest but works well, it's also a good idea to register the same fingerprint multiple times, that makes a big difference.
@@guesswho6225 - which brand ?
Used on my S23 Ultra. Very helpful protector screen stayed beautiful. Also protected from a few minor accidents that could have been damaging to the screen if the protector were not on. Have those on order.
how did screen protector hold up over time? i installed this on my tab s8 but a few months later it got quite scratched up
@@davidyang9902 I changed out every 6 months or so to get a nice new appearance, but honestly it did very well.
Hey! I dunno how to exactly put it but does this type of a screen protector hamper the smoothness of writing with the S Pen?
Don't you find it annoying that the screen protector interferes with your finger when you swipe the edge panel? The screen protector should have been a few millimeters wider.
Same, it's so annoying omg!
Agree and my review on theyre website states it too. Hopefully they'll make a V2
Have it on my S24 ultra for 4 days, the edges are quite sharp and sadly it scratches very quickly. It also doesn't fit the screen perfectly, it seems a bit to small.
Application was fairly easy to do, it also doesn't affect the fingerprint sensor.
I took mine off as the sharp edges were so annoying.
It's not noticable with a case on.
@@El_heizenberg I had the Samsung vegan leather case on. It was very noticeable. What case are you using?
I usually hate the plastic screen protectors but i was surprised how easy this one went on and how good it looks
When you install the blue film comes out and its touching the screen, if theres any dust im assuming it picks it up?
It would've been nice if you turn on the screen after the installation, we have no clue how it looks like...
It's a decent screen protector and install easily. One thing I don't like about it the sharp edges when swiping from the sides of the phone.
#AWESOME# video. Can you tell me about your S-Pen experience on the screen protector? Not like soft TPU? Showing writing scratching at all?
Thanks for this. You do need to pull up the blue plastic and be careful with camera alignment. Last year i botched my s23 ultra application, so this went better this time.
how does S-pen feel on the film protector?
Most from protectors are less reflective than glass anyway, so i think any film protector should work. Samsung dropped the ball here, no one really likes film protectors. The percent scratches but not cracks or breaks from a fall.
Glass screen protectors are bulky and completely ruin look and feel of the device.
Does the fingerprint scanner work with the sceen protector on?
Do any air bubbles go away after a while? Or have I managed to be dummier than dummy proofed.
When you touch it does it feel like rubber or like plastic/glass? I read opposite claims ...
Why not put a tempered glass screen protector and then this on top? 🤔
It will interfere with the fingeroritn sensor
On the older Galaxy S series (like the S20) a screen protector was pre installed. Now it is just that black one. So I bought a screen protector for the screen and the backplate.
If you buy through best buy and have total tech or have samsung care +, just go without a screen protector and if it gets scratched up just get the screen replaced for $30... its the best decision I've ever made because using the phone as it was intended to be without a screen protector is amazing!
its a very nice feeling screen protector and the installation is nice. my only complaint is that its not wide enough for the display and makes the back gesture kind of uncomfortable
Ikr feels like your thumb is getting scratched, like minor paper cutty
Exactly. Installation etc is fine. It just had to be wider. I also use gestures and sometimes it bothers me.
are you allowed to compare the loaner to yours to see if there is any difference in vivid screen mode?
and grainy grey on dim screen
I have and there's absolutely no difference in vivid screen mode :)
Rest assured that this will be the first problem solved in any software updates. It is a big problem and is affecting a lot of people.
My s24u text is much crispier than s23u. Don't know how you guys find it's less vivid, something wrong with my eye sight....
@@bestinlot
It is, but the problem is the phone is stuck In natural color mode and some people prefer vivid mode.
@@neilmcguinness4422 still not fixed lol
To preserve the device's primary selling point, its stunning screen, consider investing in a flip case as a protective measure against potential scratches.
is there a screen protector on the S24 ultra out of the box? At the moment I'm still using the s20+ with the original screen protector still on, although it has lots of scratches after nearly 4 years
Nope! Samsung doesn't do pre installed screen protectors anymore
I've always rotated the $8 3pk EVG TPU Screen Protector on my S22 Ultra
(So easy to install these clear ones, even in my dusty house) every 4 months & I don't have a single micro scratch anywhere on this phone.
Noticed this right away versus coming from the curved displays with screen protectors that went all the way to the edge. It annoying.
I took mine off, as it was so annoying. They should have made it go right to the edge.
Feels naked which I like
That's my problem -- the s24 ultra has a very, very well made anti reflective screen.
Nah you shouldn't use screen protectors if you think they take away from the screen, that's one of the reasons you bought the phone after all
@angiemanges7945 hey if you found one, do tell! I'm using ringke privacy filter so no snooping eyes on public
Thank you for the HONEST review! 🔥 🔥 🔥
And why didn't you turn on the screens so we can see the change / how colors etc looks? lol :)
No difference :) it's a film screen protector. Glass screen protector are usually the ones that mess with colors :)
@@MarksTech but what about reflections when the screen it's on? Does the film screen protector make it more reflexive?
Do you think the alignment tool can be reused? say if I want to use the second provided film later when the first one is beat up.
Err.. why not?
The only down side on the protector is. Whe you are using swipe back, the shape edges of the protector alway rubbing on my finger very uncomfortable to use the swipe back action.
Great content. Question. If the phone has built-in anti- reflecting coating. Why would you need more anti- reflecting coating on a screen protector 🤔 your better off getting Whitestone dome film screen protector.
Because then you would run the anti reflective screen and it'll become reflective again.
@@MarksTech ?
Glass reflects on its own. If you put anything over the S24 Ultra screen, it will be collecting light first and reflect. From all the screen protector reviews I've watch this is the case. I tried Spigen and it reflects like my old S22 Ultra. I took it off and returned them.
That screen protector looks perfect. You applied it amazingly!
Yeah but how can you stand the reflective glass?
I need help quickly, should I put this on it because I'm getting the S24 Ultra tomorrow and I was looking forward to the anti-reflective display, but now when I install the film the reflection is significantly worse
Same dilemma, same dilemma. I'm in love with the anti-reflective screen on the s24 ultra, but utterly disgusted when I finally slapped a protector. :( What can I do, I'd rather protect this so the trade value won't go down for next year's s25 trade.
There must be anti-reflective protectors for iPhones too, right? It would probably make a difference.
Ty you so much for this video, just what i was looking for 🙏
That was a great comparison video. Thank you. For a complete comparison, could you show 3 things in a future video: S24 Ultra with Samsung screen protector, S24 Ultra without screen protector, and another phone such as an S23 that doesn't have an anti-reflective screen?
Ooooooo good idea!
@@MarksTech Only if you have 3 phones, but that's probably not unusual for a tech reviewer 😁
Do use screen protectors on s24 ultra i just scratched mine while it putting it in my pocket
Does it have oleophobic coating? Does it play well with original silicon cases?
It is case friendly so no worries there
ok does it protect against minor fall damages too? or just anti reflective?
So whats actually left on the screen? It seemed everything was basically taken off. And does it protect against scratches and falls too?
Could you please advise if the screen protector will protect the phone screen from scratches and drops?
Does the fingerprint sensor work well with the screen protector
In all honesty, I have been evaluating the S24 Ultra for several days, and in comparison, my Note 20 Ultra performs better. While the S24 Ultra's screen appears to have a lower pixel density, that is not my primary concern. The camera images seem excessively processed and over-brightened, resulting in over-sharpening. Even when capturing raw images or examining the camera preview, the quality remains unsatisfactory. In my professional opinion, the Note 20 Ultra is the superior device.
Interesting I'm upgrading to the S24 Ultra from the Note 20
@covathetech tell me what you think when you get it and especially compare the speaker sound quality it's much worse
@joshuatravis241 Yeah no, speakers on S24U are wayyy better more bass are not tinny when at max
Those you have not yet bought, let me tell you something the film is as good as any other nothing special but the BAD thing is, it does not cover the entire screen there is 1mm margin on either sides so when you use the back gesture(slide your finger from right or left to center) you will feel the rough edge of the screen film on your thumb which become very irritating over time
To overcome this, you could apply the film manually and not using the guage provided and keep an offset from one edge so that only side you feel the rough edge while the other feels smooth
How was the fingerprint sensor response vs no protector? Ive tried several tempered glass ones and they were horrific
it is good. no issues with the fingerprint
Thanks, I'm glad someone did a video on this screen protector as there were lots of negative reviews on Samsung's website. Now I don't know what the fuss was all about. I'll probably pick one up.
how was it, are the edges ok?? might get one myself
Good, informative video. I got those screen protectors for free with my purchase but I've not used them and went with a tempered glass one.
"That's what she said." That got you a like from me.
Does this screen protector cover the bezels too?
Does it??
Does it protect the screen from breaking?
I need this antireflective protection as a glass variant. But I cannot find any... :/
Is there any for s23 ultra? Good morning from Jamaica 🇯🇲
How about the oleophobic coating of the screen protector compared with the naked screen? do you see a difference of the fingerprint prints over naked screen ?
Id say they're about the same tbh
just bought myself a samsung s24U i still cant believe its was my dream phone, but now i wanted to ask that the screen protector is made of glass or its just a film [i think it would be glass but not sure]
Me? I dig that sound pulling the protective film off after getting the new phone out of the box.
I thought anti glare lowered the quality of the oled by spreading the light so you couldnt get perfect blacks and whites that oleds are known for. Maybe its not noticeable at all or enough
Do these screen protectors have sharp edges or is it smooth and rounded.
ditto
Mine have sharp edges
I cant do screen protectors tbh. Makes the edge feel like crap. I got a plastic one and if I fuck it up or the screen glare is bad imma just get rid of it. Keeping the camera glass protectors, rear glass protector and a case lol
We lose some of the pop already for less glare. Seems optically counterintuitive putting something on it that adds glare back.....
I got 4 cases so i got 4 boxes of screen projectors. I only got 2 cases thoigh because they were apparent sold out of tve egan leatber case and the designer ones i had selected.
Is it easy to clean? I had a similar type on my S21 and it was difficult to keep clean.
S24 isn't very scratch resistant, had mine for 2 weeks and already have a deep groove I can feel when I scratch over it with my nail
Is it worth buying? Will it protect+ screen? Or can I use it like this first: use tempered glass, then use a screen protector on the tempered glass?
Not going to talk about how it doesn't go to the end of the screen?
i use the same protector for a week and i didnt know i had to remube de 2nd plastic, i just rip the litle blu part.
It actually works fine. Phone came.in early for me on Friday
It's such a shame I wasted one already. I had a line in the middle left to right in the center. I followed their video and I thought I messed up cause I saw a line, also I had a bubble/dust. So I decided to screw it and install a new one. I didn't realize the line would dissappear. :(
Can you tell that if someone is using s22 ultra snapdragon version should he upgrade to s24 ultra.
I upgraded from an S22 Ultra to the S24 Ultra and don't regret it. The anti reflective properties of the screen are amazing, and I like the flat panel for the s pen.
what if you put this on top of a tempered glass screen protector?
Ayo that's messed up
100% Would love to see it.
It would be very helpful if you would turn on the screen cause thats like the whole reason we want to see the screen protector work.
