On the tail-end of a complete refit and re-model of our '95 Silverton convertible. Took our time with it. Solid boat, solid hull. IMHO, Silverton should have focused their entire production on the convertible model. Best of luck Mate, and Godspeed.
Wow I miss my 41' Silverton now but I like the layout of your 42" better. Since downsizing I miss the large salon area especially for the view. Nice job on the TV and sound system installation along with the shower fix and the blower on the AC. The new galley lighting is very nice as well. I can't stand to try to do things in the dark so the newer LED bulbs are a great upgrade. Just curious, do you live aboard?
@@jetlag4754 hey! I agree, I liked the 41 when I toured it. But it seemed more like my 34 only a little a bit bigger. The 42 is vastly different between 41 and 42. The boat is a whole lot bigger too, not just "1 foot". The engine room, living quarters, bridge, etc. Yep, this is my floating home on the water. Buying the 42 was cheaper than a house by 4x-5x less... Working on a slogan for that too.
@@jrosesftv I guess I shouldn't have thrown it away so soon... That definitely crossed my mind when I was struggling to cut that out. But, the old pillows, mattresses, were a bit moldy or had mildew. They all went into the trash. I did run the mattress comforter through the wash so it wasn't as bad.
Great job, even invented a new tool. Jigsaw mattress cutters 😂 formerly known as electric carving knife! Beautiful boat. I’ll follow along on this adventure.

Do u plan on bringing tha boat in tha slip where your other boat is ? It's such a Fantastic looking boat ! Plus 1 owner is incredible 😲
It’s great to see you’re doing all the unfitting yourself. I know what it’s like to own a boat. Keep up the good work!
It has been hectic but, I am really liking the progress!

You shure like doing things the hard way You need to work smarter not harder 😊
@@brianbarry6909 that's the only way. Haha
Awesome way to learn your boat by doing all this yourself.....and saving 1000s.
@@miked5563 Oh yeah, not much better experience than going hands on. Definitely get to know the boat.
The 120 fridge breaker may be for a dual voltage fridge circuit
@@Harrybollox the new one I put on the Starboard side is 120 only. Just a residential fridge. The new Isotherm is AC and DC
Those 5500K LED lights really kill my eyes. My preference is 3500K or lower. Nice boat progress though.
@@bnkwupt appreciate the feedback. For my personal preference I like the 5500-6000k light. More like natural daylight. Just, that's what I like.
Replace a Moen with a Moen and it's free, lifetime warranty.
Wish I knew this a few weeks ago.
Why didn’t you lay the old mattress on top to make your template?
