The hair is human hair I wash my wig once every 2 weeks with shea moisture conditioner and shampoo with cold water .I don't apply any products in the hair except water and a little bit of curly cream to get the wig curls pattern in good shape .I don't sleep with my wigs I always take it off at night time and put in on the wig stand Less manipulation to your wigs will make your wigs last longer Hope that helps
