I've noticed Mik interrupted Adam a few times in the middle of explaining something and turned to violet to talk about their own situation of it. Luckily Adam is comfortable enough with them to be able to pick up where he left off. I know she's excited but she should work on her interview skills. She was pretty quiet with Dita as that's violets expertise, so she needs to find her middle ground.
Adam Lambert is my hick grandma’s only reference for gay men and she just… always brings him up on how attractive he is 😂

I feel the same as Mik because I didn't had any references of gay people on tv before him. I loved (and still do) his punk rockness, the makeup, the attitude and obviously his talent. Such a icon 🔥
I can't put into words how much Adam has helped me during my teenage years and he doesn't even know.
I'm from the countryside of Eastern Europe and the concept of gay does not exist. It's an abomination and people don't evensay the word out loud. I was 12 years old when i realized i was a lesbian and What Do You Want From Me was released around the same time. Watching his interviews and seeing him stand up for himself against all that homophobia inspired me to fight for myself and get the hell out of there.
If i ever met Adam i think i'd just ugly cry and thank him for being so incredibly strong and true to himself❤

I was lucky enough to be in the live audience of American Idol when Adam was in the top 3. His voice is so powerful and his style is amazing. I am so glad he has been able to inspire so many and I am excited to see what he does in the future.

The fact that they can talk to the people who looked up on with so much heart and connect is beautiful. The part where they all resonated with the fear of losing the fame and hearing that from someone they looked up to is my favorite part in all of this...As someone who grew up watching Adam Lambert on the tv and embracing a part of myself that I always concealed, I'm just so thankful seeing this icon give back to the community after everything that has happened. yess Adam Lambert went to my high school in San Diego so seeing him talk about San Diego is awesome
SO happy to see Adam Lambert !!!!!! He was my first queer male representation, and the way that Gottmik described their love for him makes so much sense to probably why I did. I just loved that Adam was himself and always have thought of him fondly as someone part of my growing up/who I felt similar to and that's even from someone who didn't watch American Idol (I found/was introduced to him during that famehood right afterwards).

Adam lambert’s was the first idol season I watched in full. I absolutely loved him (and a few of the other contestants)! I think I kinda knew he was gay the whole time (though I didn’t have a full understanding of what being gay meant at the time) but I feel like his whole style and personality was generally accepted because he was like rock n roll haha. Like we think of things like painting nails or wearing glam jewelry as generally gay for males, but like we never even blink at rock stars who live in that style, and straight women are absolutely in love with them! So interesting but yeah Adam definitely gave me a framework for gay celebrities which is super cool so I totally get you Mik! 😄
I loved this interview! I wish we could’ve seen like Adam do a little strut or something. I wanted to see his outfit standing up. Loved his boots!

As an Adam fan for the past 14 years, this warmed my heart. Adam truly getting the recognition, credit, appreciation and RESPECT for the trailblazer he is in the music industry (because people nowadays like to forget and skip over him)! He getting to talk freely and truthfully about how he felt then but with the maturity he has now, about how happy he is with his life and how he’s connecting with his art now. I get a kick every time I see Adam Lambert anywhere because I always remember how I first saw him on American Idol. Not even from his audition, but I saw a quick 2-3 seconds of him from a COMMERCIAL on American idol and I was immediately crushing. 😂
Mik totally hit the nail on the head. I also grew up in a sheltered religious environment, and seeing Adam on Idol was like an awakening for me. I was like "You can do that?!" and then the rest was queer history.

Trailblazers only in this channel. Mik's excitement is so cute and she and Adam had like a lot of stuff to talk about. I feel bad for him though, being judged at the time for kissing his guitar player and now we live in a time where Troye and Lil'Nas get a free pass for everything. It is like Violet said: this is how it goes, it is harder for the ones that did it first. We feel good, good for them, but, well, damn. lol. Cheers to Adam Lambert for touching so many people from the younger ages and letting them know it is ok to be who you are.

She had alot of problems with her bisexuality, but I'm omnisexual and I don't hide it, and I support and protect her, anytime she needs.

Adam is just one of my favourite people. I remember watching Idol on his season and thinking.. wow. He was so creative and made each song his own rather than just singing the original version to the letter. And he doesn’t seem to have changed, his first audition was the same as he is in this interview. Just relaxed and friendly ♥️

1:22 I FEEL SO SEEN!! AND BY GOTTMIK OF ALL PEOPLE! I did know what being gay was when i saw Adam Lambert first on American Idol, and was such a fan to where i bought his first album, bought all of his songs on American Idol (even his country song lol, it was cool) and quit watching American Idol after he lost 😅. I fell off bc i got more i to metal music and other interests, but people made fun of me for not knowing he was gay years later, i just genuinely loved his artisty and how he held himself. It helped me realize i should just be me, and he exonerates that even more to this day! My mother saw him live with Queen last month, so this was a mindf**k for me lol.
