Hunting EVERY Class 8 with a Crossbow! | theHunter: Call of the Wild

Hello and welcome back to theHunter: Call of the Wild! in today's episode we're doing another Class challenge. This time, we're after every class 8 animal in the game. That means moose, 2 species of elk, and oryx (gemsbok). While that may seem easy, keep in mind that they need to be hunted with a crossbow, hit in the vitals, and need to be males. Turns out the crossbow is AWFUL (or I'm just bad). so yeah, it's a very difficult challenge.

With Gemsbok, you should actually go for the females. They're much more likely to make diamond. Even level 5 males almost never make it.

I think they notice you because they can still see and hear you. When you’re crouched and moving towards them at full speed while in that position, you still make a decent amount of noise and aren’t fully hidden. They will spot you, especially when you’re under 120 away.

To check Rare Fur Types of each Species. Fur Type Rarity (And the name of the map) - For the Animals you want to check to see if they're rare. For example, Fur Type Rarity Mississippi. or Fur Type Rarity Te Awaroa.

You do know that when you use the scent spray, you have to use it to where the wind is blowing. You can’t expect it to blow on you and for the animals to be able to smell you that way that’s not how it works. in other words, it’s not like the scent eliminator

It will rip all the way through, but with a crossbow you have to be within 30 yards for it to go all the way. Pen drops off sharply at about 35.
*EDIT*
Female Gemsbok can go diamond, so there's no reason to exclude sexes when hunting them.
