What someone needs to do is make a Spider-Man game on par with the Arkham series....I'm not talking about all dark and gloomy but I'm saying if they took the time to make a good Spider-Man game that's NOT based on a movie and put their heart and soul into the development....that would be epic because Spider-Man 2 the game was good and Spider-Man as a character has potential in a open world game if they do it right.

Too bad they put the same developers on to make the games since the late 90s. They're probably tired of remaking Spiderman games by now but the publishers won't give the rights to someone else because they make money. Spiderman is also my favourite comic hero
How to make a good Spider-man game:
1)Keep the web-swinging mechanics simple.
2) Hire the voice cast from the Spectacular Spider-man (Josh Keaton as Spider-man, Steve Blum as Green Goblin etc.)
3) Hire a good writer like Greg Weisman or Paul Dini to write an interesting story that people can (and would be interested to) follow.
4)Be original. Don't make it a movie tie-in.
5) Be true to Spidey's source material. Not everything has to be dark and gritty because of Batman.
And finally...
6) Make it a real game! No more mobile app shit!

***** the main reason why the arkham franchise is so successful is because it makes you feel like batman. That coupled with great game mechanics. A superman game only needs to do the same, and I think rockstead are more than capable of that. The challenges would be more so saving people in time and also in a boss battle, where the enemies can physically hurt superman (doomsday, darkseid etc.), you would have to simultaneously save people while fighting bosses and you would have to try and avoid killing civilians with your powers. It would be really cool if you could fight the boss in the open world, so the fight could lead anywhere, because that would lead to lots of tactics that could be employed. It could include you trying to fly the boss into the more unpopulated areas of the city to avoid killing civies, and without having to save them, you can concentrate on fighting them. Maybe at the end of the battle it tallies up how many civilians died and takes away a certain amount of XP or something like that. Also, while you're fighting bosses, you could have other enemies (eg. Parademons) as a destruction, which would make it even harder to save citizens. That's how you make a good superman game.
A Suicide Squad game by Rocksteady set in the Arkham world would've been great too.

If anybody is capable of making a good Superman game, it's Rocksteady.
I just got a good idea about what it could be, so picture this:
Superman-Phantoms. An open world game, starts with a veteran Superman who's settled in with Lois and has saved the world plenty of times. For the sake of continuity, it takes place in the same universe as the Arkham series, a little bit before Arkham Asylum. The game's story basically has a breach to the Phantom Zone opening in Metropolis, triggered when Lex Luthor was experimenting with the Zone. The game involves Superman fighting to stop the Zone from consuming not just Metropolis, but the whole planet.
Allies could include Supergirl, Lois, Steel, and General Lane.
The villains used could be Bizarro, Luthor, Metallo, Silver Banshee, Encantadora as a enemy/ally, and Zod and Faora as (surprise!) allies.
The main villain would be a guy calling himself the First Son of Krypton. The first Kryptonian ever sent there. Just to make matters worse, he's got Doomsday as his attack dog of sorts!

First Game: Luthor, Livewire, Parasite, Metallo, Brainiac.
Second Game: Mongul, Kalibak, Granny Goodness, The Furies, Darkseid.
Third Game: Luthor, Bizzaro, Doomsday
Fourth Game: Anti-Monitor.
This is the game right here, where I finally upgrade get a PS4. Before I had no reason to.

You kinda need space, if you're making a Superman game, in the sense that you can't have only Metropolis as your 'playground'...if you are making a game with him, you can't have the same bs in which Superman passes trough circles at a low speed and enemies that have kryptonite weapons...you need the whole planet (take the No Man's Sky concept and apply it to Superman) and people that are in constant need of your help...and that's why a great game with Superman is imposible with today's technology, but you're right, Tyrone, a game like this would make Superman more popular.

I'm disappointed Man-Bat will never appear, he would've been a great addition... Rocksteady should make at least one Arkham movie similar to Assault on Arkham (Deadshot was a boss in it), there's still a couple of more villains that need to appear in the Arkham franchise (or at least in the Arkhamverse comics). I would love to see Rocksteady's version Deathstroke, I enjoyed him in Origins, but his role was basically a cameo.
I can't wait for the Suicide Squad (Arkhamverse) DLC sequel/spin-off WB Montreal promised us, hopefully it's legit.

They can't make a successful Superman game. I'd compare it to Iron Man and in a way it's the same but if Marvel was really committed we could have a good Iron man game. but Superman is just too powerful for a game unless you use Golden Age Superman.
They could come up with an explanation as to why Superman is vulnerable for the duration of the game.

It might just be me, but the problem with Superman is that he is grossly overpowered by nature, and thus it would make it extremely difficult to make a game that would be a challenge at all, because he basically is the most powerful character ever created. Seems like a pointless endeavour if you ask me.
