It really shows that Batman’s time as Batman is 90% detective work and the last 10% is the great fight scenes
I literally just walked out the theatre. This Batman was realistic, as far as him being human and fighting. He’s a young, inexperienced, and brutal. Batman is k we obsessed with fighting crime. It shows his detective skills.
This Batman feels like Bond in Casino Royale (which is a good thing IMO). New, rough around the edges but still manages to capture the essence of the character.
This was the reaction I was hoping you would give, I now cannot wait to see this movie!

Love Matt Reeves, he is such a good director and I thought he was a perfect choice to make a batman movie. I actually can’t believe WB got him to do one and actually made a good decision in asking him to.

Just watched it. Loved it. Tyrone wasn’t kidding about “when they introduce the Batmobile”.
Easily one of the highlights of the film…
9.5 out of 10 for me man! It was like Seven and Zodiac had a love child together. Everything was a fucking chefs kiss and a live action graphic novel of some of the best Batman tales come to life. Beautiful film and toe to toe with Dark Knight

It was a bit slow but it’s a solid 8/10, Robert is so underrated, man nailed it
Calendar Man should be the next villain. It would go perfectly with the crime noir detective Batman they’re going with. He murders people on specific dates throughout the year. It would be even crazier if he commits the murder of an important person from Gotham on each popular holiday throughout the year. Batman has to find the clues to figure out who’s behind it.
Now, I haven’t seen The Batman yet so if Riddler pretty much does something similar with his riddles then scratch the idea. If not, it’s a perfect follow up. If they do a trilogy, I think they should save joker for the final movie. Build him up. Maybe reference him in this one. Make him a background threat in the sequel and then in the final film his actions become too much to ignore.
Personally I wish they left joker out and focused on other villains, but he’s inevitable as a character.
I think that’s exactly what Riddler does, but that’s a great idea!
@@ComedyBros5 after watching the movie I agree that it would be too similar to riddler. Riddler was amazing in this movie and Calendar Man wouldn’t be able to top that. But a realistic and emotionally disturbed Mr. Freeze definitely could top that.

Nah, given how this movie finished, rather than Calendar Man, I'd go with something similar to Knightfall for the next one, with Bane staging the break-out at Arkham (explaining how Joker escapes to set up for the final movie, and enabling Riddler to have another go, fighting the Batman personally)...

I saw it today in IMAX and quite enjoyed this story of The Batman. It kind of felt like an absolute version of the character and the story. Matt Reeves really does an amazing job of capture point of view with characters which you kind of get it throughout the whole film with the principal cast.

I saw it tonight!!! HOLY FUCKING BALLS!! I loved every single second. The batmobile is a BEAST! Our seats literally shook during that scene. Robs portrayal of both Bruce and Batman were astonishing. I laughed more than I thought I would but I also wiped a few tears. I cannot express how much everyone needs to see this movie. When we were nearing the climax, it didn’t even feel like that much time had passed… this movie keeps you enthralled the entire time. Masterpiece. Can’t wait to see it again on Thursday!!!

This movie was phenomenal. By the end it felt a lil long but it didn’t bother me. The audio, the visuals and all the shots were great. Props to all the characters and the acting, especially Pat, Zoe Kravitz and and John Turturro, they were my favorite
Colin Farrell as the Penguin was the standout performance for me 🐧
Definitely excited to see this movie, got IMAX tickets for Friday!

I think so
Given Reeves' directing style, Victor Fries would be the perfect villain for the second movie. Grundy and Croc seem a bit too fantastical for the universe, but who knows!
Hopefully he does, both Matt and Robert want a trilogy

Bro, Battinson was actually scary in this movie. Walking around crime scenes like Michael Myers. They perfectly capture why even the craziest criminals are scared of him.

Every director has their masterpiece and this was Matt Reeves! This movie is a 10/10 for me! Pattinson is my new favourite Batman (Bruce Wayne not so much as, well you know, he's not in the movie that much as him)

@@dv9143 The only thing TDK has is a better story. The score might have been cool for the time but now it's kind of just a typical Hans Zimmer score. It's not that unique anymore. I definitely prefer his Dune and BvS scores a lot more but that's just me. The fight scenes in TDK are literally a joke so the fact that's one of your points is kind of a joke in itself.
The performance of Ledger as Joker is definitive while Bale as Bruce Wayne has always been perfect. Bale as Batman is just okay in TDK and in the whole trilogy in general. Overall, TDK probably will end up having the better and more tight-knit story but it's still not and has never been the end all be all of Batman. In live-action? Sure. But in general, it's a far cry from the comics or even the animated movies/shows.

The batmobile though....when it's starting up and he starts revving it.
Ben Affleck’s Batman was already with years of experience and his suit is much more agile also Zack Synder was trying to give that comic fight with Affleck I feel like Reeves was more focused on the case and Robert is still new to the Job and his suit is definitely super heavy so hopefully in the future we see Robert start fighting a lot more like Affleck and more!

came back from seeing the movie a few hours ago, and have to say...as a huge batman fan it is one of..if not the best batman film imo.
focuses actually on batman himself..and batman was in costume for loads of the runtime.

Great movie!!! I loved this version of Batman. Pattinson is the best Batman I’ve seen so far. I really liked Keaton, Bale and Ben but after seeing this movie, when I think of Batman it’ll be Pattinson. Only seeing the movie once it’s hard to rank it above the dark knight but it’s right there IMO.
