amazing work, i liked the wide angle where we could see your workshop, positioning of the forge, anvil, powerhammer, tools...
My feelings exactly!
This is very therapeutic to watch. Greetings from Sydney Australia!
Me to :)
This video really hit the nail on the head...
+Mac Ward woaw *winks and walks away*
I love watching Blacksmiths forge random Items. I think it's cool how they can shape a material like iron.
excellent hammer and damn fine video to boot. Thank you for taking the time to make and share both.
Jim Turman Thanks!
Loving the speed up sound of your powerhammer =) Very nice work!
wow! what a work of art! The video was fantastic and I was mesmerized by the entire process! Thank you for sharing.
Truly a thing of beauty! Thanks for sharing your time and effort with us bro Anthony Kent
Beautiful work and excellent video skills.
i like the camera angle of your whole work shop
Interesting to see the blacksmithing process. There has always been a sort of mystery behind this skill for me personally. Good to see people are keeping the practice alive in modern times
I had the pleasure of dealing with this man and have bought one of his hammers and have it delivered to Ireland. My opinion - its a work of art. You can tell by the detail on the hammer the passion and love this man has for his smith work. He is a gifted blacksmith. I hope to have the strength & health to swing this hammer for many years to come and pass on to my son at some stage. Thank you again Torbjörn. A delight dealing with you Sir.
Thank you very much!
Another really good video, detailing the entire hammer making process....Thanks! I really learn a lot from you...
Thanks!
Blacksmithing looks so goddamn satisfying... I really want to get started on it, but definitely as a hoobyist aswell. I could never sell a piece of art like this
With time and practice you can, don't sell yourself short
I watched this so long ago that now I can watch it again and it’s like a new video. Your videos are so awesome.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Torbjorn top notch. Hard work well rewarded with a thing of simple practical beauty!!

i'd love to know forging as you do ! This is ever so cool to watch, and trying to learn just by watching !
This hammer is beautiful !
Thank you!
There is always such a since of satisfaction when you make something yourself. Very nice work.
I enjoyed watching this. I have only done decorative forging but this has motivated me to consider trying something a little more functional.
Amizing hammer, mate and what a wonderful video! Very informative, it's nice to see excellent quality european (metric system, yes!) bleacksmithing videos, finally! I have seen all your videos, great channel Torbjörn, keep forging and please keep making videos!
Nerfeel Thank you!
Anyone who just got dumped should watch this guys vids. so calming...
CommieHedgehog *I'm guessing you are speaking from experience?*
I thought you said "anywho who is taking a dump" I agree either way
Impressive. Looks like you are learning your craft well. Thanks for letting us watch.
Beautiful craftsmanship! Also, a very relaxing video.
Awesome craftmanship! I'm a welder but I'd love to learn blacksmithing and get close to the skill you have some day!
Thank you!
+Fireworxs2012 1045 is cheaper, easier to get hold of, forge and heat treat.
+Torbjörn Åhman how long did it take?
Faust1169 Don't quite remember, but about 3 h forging, 1 h grinding, 0,5 h heat treat, and 2 h making handle and mount handle. Lets say a days work incl. filming ... :)
Torbjörn Åhman Do u sell your Hammers ??
Torbjörn Åhman
Wow!! Great craftsmanship. Thanks for sharing.
Great video thanks. You are showing some real skill and technique in this. I certainly learned a few things.
This is such an awesome production Torbjörn, I keep finding myself back here watching it over and over. need to get myself a power hammer, yours is quiet compared to most or are you just turning the sound down when you come to edit? cheers!
Nathan
***** Thanks! Difficult to tell how loud it is from the video. I'm on auto gain control so the level will adjust itself. However I think the hammer is below average. For any power hammer, it probably depends really much on how it's mounted and in what environment it sits.
IT look so nice!
Me, too.
A really enjoyable process to watch, many thanks!
I just re-watched this video for the 4 time. 1 of my favorite videos! definitely 1 of the best Blacksmithing channels.
thank you again friend.
Ha ha, great!
Hello from Maine, USA!
.....can you make me one? lol

Just get someone else to hit it for you 😂
Beautiful, could watch you work all day!
WOW! That came out really nice.
Apparently this guy buys his tools then turns them into blocks but puts the videos on UA-cam backwards.
Walter White Yep, don't tell anyone...
Torbjörn Åhman LOL

Красиво!
love watching you videos and surely admire your skills and craftsmanship
Beautiful work, inspirational! Thanks for sharing.
If u need a hammer to forge a hammer who forged the first hammer and how
Thor ;-D
A guy with a lot of rocks
darude-sandstorm
Stone hammers: leather/plant fibers, hard stone, and a stick, forged by "cave men"
bronze hammer because they were cast not forged
Great vid! Love your massive anvil! - is it ok for one guy to say that to another guy?? :-)
Good Video,Sir! Really nice Hammer! Love watching you work metal.
This is beautiful. You are a credit to smiths everywhere
Wonder how the first metal hammer was made, What the hell hammered it :X
+TopkekBootyDubs Some stones probably....
+TopkekBootyDubs I asked same question myself :D
+Torbjörn Åhman or casted one ?
+shivoskate how did they cast it?
BLaZE Mobile
Definitely not cast...
Is "sexy" a wrong adjective for a hammer?
The finished hammer looks very clean. As always the video was enjoyable. Thanks for posting.
A thing of beauty...thanks for the education!
fortunaetly you have a power hammer... would have been a shit ton of work to forge this hammer with hand tools only... i mean it already is a bunch of work to forge some simple flat nib tongs if you have to draw out the reins with hand tools only
Using an electric hammer to make a normal hammer... That is so many kinds of funny. ;] Next project is to make an electric hammer using the hammer hammer?
after re-reading this... I realize it might come across as a criticism. I don't mean it that way. It is just that the irony is hysterical.
:) Most of the modern hammers made today are actually still forged. Drop forged by huge hammers.
Nice. I love the shape of the finished product. Great video and awesome skill.
Brilliant work, excellent video as well. Thanks so much for sharing your skills.
That's how real men work.
Awesome blacksmith's work. Can't wait for more videos!

Been smithing for around 5 months but have been metalworking all my work life only 10 years lol. I have found this video very helpfull and inspiring i think im about ready to make my first hammer. I started with a set of pipe grips a ball pein and anvil but have been slowly making my tool collectin larger. Have subscribed and will see what over knowledge i can learn from you. Cheers.
Dean Scrimshaw Great!
Nice. You did a great work.
Real nice, good looking work!
I made my first rounding hammer this summer. Four pounds of awesome. I can't wait to make more. You did a great job. Very good looking hammer. Wish I had a power hammer at home. Keep em coming.
Great, thank you!
Wow! That is an awesome build! I want one!!
I Loved it!!!! I was a fellow Metal worker myself, I worked in the Foundries and Machine Shops for almost 20 Years and til this day reministing on some of the memories of doing Metal work and watching people do it as wellas learning new tricks of the trade, it still amazes meon some of the Chemistry and formationing of objects from Liquid Fire to solid Metal and then forming or "Forging" and Object into something is so beautifully done, people should really learn to appreciate somwething like this because even though it flows so beautilfully it is not that simple either.
Patrick Wojciechowski Thank you! Yes, it's pretty amazing, and the chemistry is quite complex as well when you dig in. What is fascinating is how people learned to produce iron/steel from just trial and error and did things in the "right way" but had no clue about the underlying mechanisms...
Спасибо вам, за возможность учиться у вас. СПАСИБО.
What an art, nice hammer and video mate.
So relaxing to watch just lie back with a cold'y and learn .
As I also making my first hammer but double cross pien, Indeed a challenge for me, But you always shines through.
Thanks for teaching and I just make them tongs for which I believe are Brian Bazial type but just might be a much older style.
Thanks for the teaching Sir
Very nice work!
Muchas gracias Torbjörn por compartir parte de tu sabiduria.
