    I'm trying to find a cluster for my 2015 Silverado, but looking at the product matrix on WAMS site, it's a bit daunting. Is there a cluster like this that would work with a 2015 but in Chevy blue/white over Denali red/white? I'm parts hunting before I even think about programming. Already going to have to get a new wheel and clockspring since mine is a work truck with the LS convenience package... that doesn't come with steering wheel radio controls. :(

      Phil, the cluster looks good. What was the reason you didn't purchase a 2016 UHS Tahoe cluster to match? WAMS has been trying to get my 2016 Tahoe UHS cluster to work on my 2016 Duramax. They're having difficulties since the Tahoe cluster doesn't have anything for the glow plug indicator. I'm hoping they're successful as I waited 6 months for the backordered cluster and a while now for them to work their magic. Hopefully it's not much longer. I'm definitely jealous of you. If you change everything over to the red, let me know what you do with the MyLink color scheme or know of someone who can change it.

    • @philgamboa2906
      @philgamboa2906  6 років тому

      Michael, before you purchase the cluster, check with WAMS on part # compatibility and fitment first. They only accept emails on the weekend during their posted hours. So be sure to ask all these questions so that they can all be answered. I went back and forth and since they only accept email inquiries on the weekend, this took a very long time (partly my fault for forgetting to email during their hours). Be sure to include to as much detail about your truck as you can. Year, Trim, VIN, what you are looking at doing, etc. My truck had Factory Rears and ended up getting a color matched bumper that has the front sensors. I couldn't live with the sensors physically installed and doing nothing...So I inquired about this as well while my cluster was going to with them. I picked up park assist module that supports both front and rears, and sent it off as well. After the cluster and park assist sensor module were programmed, they got installed. The cluster was Plug and Play at that point. The PA Sensor Module, required some additional wiring. I show this detail in another I posted, so check it out when you get a chance.
      Hope this helps and Thanks for subscribing!

      No worries. It's just good to be able to talk to a like minded person. I live in Texas and may look into trying to have the programming done here.(they are kinda hard to reach) My truck didn't come with front or rear parking assist but I was told that it was already wired for it (yeah, right). It's an LTZ so I'll check into that. I've made some modifications but I like for them to be subtle so that it looks like it could've come from the factory that way. If you're ever down Dallas way, let's get together and grab some lunch and talk trucks. Thanks again.

      Leo Bustamante - I bought the cluster about 4 months ago maybe. If I recall, it was about $225. Programming was $400. My cluster was used so programming is usually more than if you have a new cluster. I also had some other programming done to get front park assist sensors installed. Check out whiteautoandmedia.com for pricing specific for you and ask about compatible part #s as well before you buy a cluster.

    • @philgamboa2906
      @philgamboa2906  6 років тому +2

      No. The mileage is not stored in the cluster. It is only displayed on it. The mileage is stored in the truck's computer. Having the cluster programmed by WAMS ensure all of the correct parameters are set and that no tampers flags are triggered.

      You can get a cluster from any GM Online Wholesale site or the dealer. You can also get it from eBay...BUT you take the risk of compatibility. Also, if the ebay seller incorrectly installed it prior to programming, that can set tamper flags in your trucks computer. Please visit www.whiteautoandmedia.com for fitment and programming costs before purchasing. DO NOT INSTALL a cluster without getting it programmed first.

      Sinuhe Campos - please read this thread.
      www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/190465-denali-cluster-in-slt/?page=28
      FAQ - Please read before contacting us - thank you!
      Q: I have a base model truck will this mod work?
      A: Yes we can retrofit program the Denali or smaller color cluster for your application. See the thread from pgamboa regarding the steps needed to make this work properly on your end.
      Q: I already bought a cluster will it work?
      A: That depends on MANY factors, we HIGHLY recommend you contact us first with the part number you are looking at to confirm fitment.
      Q: How much does this whole shebang cost?
      A: We only do programming and the cost varies depending on what cluster you get, the condition, any special requests etc. Typically most people do this mod for around $500 total including cluster.
      Q: I bought a cluster and plugged it in and now some things dont work, can you program it?
      A: We have posted multiple warnings to not plug units into your vehicle until we program them, if you plug it in prior you own it and the tamper flags you created; we wont touch it.
      Q: Whats the average turnaround time?
      A: Typically one weekend or less depending on work load.
      Q: What part numbers should I be looking for?
      A: You want the Denali part number for your EXACT year and specification. If you have a 2016 diesel you need a 2016 diesel cluster. 2015 has two model years effectively 2015 and 2015.5 as always ANY part you are looking at please send us the part number to confirm fitment prior to purchase!
      Q: I want to move ahead what info do I need to send you to get a quote and check compatibility?
      A: Your VIN, the cluster part number you are looking at and its condition.

Typically, you need to get the same year cluster based on the www.WhiteAutoandMedia.com fitment list.
