My belief is design will eventually die out on you. It will lose it's value over time as you get more and more used to it.
However, performance, camera and bug-free feature rich software are very critical to long-lasting use. Do you believe Nothing Phone 2a stands that test compared to other phones around the segment?

This phone delivers on one aspect, pure clean stock Android enhanced with nifty useful features. After using this phone, I am fully satisfied with it except for the camera.

I chose this phone only for the UI which is close to stock and no bloatware with the addition of nothing widgets, I don't regret buying it. Hardware isn't everything software experience matters a lot which brands like POCO can't deliver in the long term. People going for Moto will cry for software updates since they will be stuck on an older version of Android when other brands will be updated on time. Oxygen OS on OnePlus is just rebranded Color OS also comes with bloatware now smh. Nothing Phone 2a isn't a performance centric phone but a balanced one.

So much chatter baout Software updates yet I personally dont feel the need for the newer android version sinc euthe delta isnt qute large. On the other hand, Moto has better design, features, brand, camera. The nothing p2a seems like a very poorly deigned device w/ a plastic back which is a fingerprint magnet.
The p2a also had lag issues and a mediocre camera

My last phone was a OnePlus, but I switched to the Nothing 2a because I was deeply dissatisfied with OnePlus' newer updates.

My last oneplus was a 3, I've owned a 2, X and the original One. Saw this project and I immediately was like "oh yeah this smells like oneplus" tempted to switch to it over my galaxys22.

Thanks for the review! I live in the Philippines and I'm impressed this phone has surpassed Samsung A55 in a midrange budget with true proximity sensor, smooth OS and performance. Anything that lacks is the okayish camera (though the update fixed) and emulation compatibility. I agree with your review about A55 being an all-rounder smartphone which surpasses Phone (2a) in camera and One UI features and extended software support, although inaccurate virtual proximity and Exynos' battery life is a dealbreaker.
I was at Shopee reseller and saw Nothing Phone 2a (12+256gb) for about Php. 22,900, when comparing this to A55 at the same price, I'll get this phone ASAP if gaming and smooth OS are my thing, or A55 if balanced priorities are my thing either.

So i have read some good comments and then some absurd ones too.This review is honest and explains that a relatively new still company is trying to compete in the smartphone market.Of course it will be reviewed compared to other brands but this is not done out of spite or defense but because as a buyer each one of us has to decide what to buy.This review sums up that, comparing this phone with what other brands have to offer.Doesnt mean that the nothing phone is bad.
How about the dismally slow picture post processing issue which other phones even low-end ones do not have ?
Honestly I don't feel the camera is average, it has potential.. it lacks consistency and good post processing but the photos it CAN take are really good. Maybe a few software updates might help but I'd say it's got the potential to be a pretty good camera.
Hey man, I've got the white, 12GB one and the design of it (despite being made of plastic) is SO good. The in-hand feel of this phone is excellent and I could keep looking at the back for hours (I wouldn't say this for the black one though, hence I took the white one). So recently I got to know that Moto Edge 50 Pro is coming around ~30k and just a week before I purchased this one, I searched for ME50P's price and it was unreliable site which showed it would cost something around 45k, I was like wtf! So I was like anyway, nothing is reliable, it's software is good, camera and performance is decent, chalo I'll buy it karke I bought it. The truth is I LOVE big, curved displays + good cameras + great battery life and I've started to feel like "Arey galti kiya kya Maine Nothing Phone 2a khareed ke". As said I liked the design and the screen of it and even the battery. Cameras are underwhelming (Prev. had LG G8X which is almost dead now hence had to change, but it had excellent cameras), so that's gone. Only thing left is the display part. It's big, it's good but my mind still says why didn't you go with a curved display one, one such as ME50P. I kindy request you to make a comparison video b/w these 2 phones. Maybe along with the CE4 and the Poco one or you know, whatever you feel like.
I would honestly recommend you to bite the bullet and trade the 2a for the moto/1+
also I had also seen the same website was thankfully saved as I am going to buy a phone after 2-3 months.

I've switched from iPhone 12mini to Nothing 2a, and after 2months of usage the only two things I could possibly rebuke are, camera and phone size.
The camera leaves a lot to be desired especially the overblown photos the main shooter takes. As for the phone size, the 162 mm is simply too big
for comfortable everyday use. Otherwise for the price it's an average phone for average price.
I can recommend if you want a jack of all trades, that can easlily last 3 days on one charge.
It does have pro mode in the camera app called 'expert' mode
How is the call volume? I am a senior citizen and hence want devent loudness in call volume.

Such video is important because many people watch videos of s24 ultra and then end up buying cheap samsung phone hoping to use dex and wallet but forgot about that, they dont even get a basic always on display

One mistake. You think nothing doesn't have 3rd party apps and is clean for now ( as per your saying) is due to it's new company and apps may have not reached it or not offered it.. it is misleading. The 25k is a little overpriced for this but it is due to Nothing's policy to make phones bloatware free. Even Netflix is not pre installed and hence Netflix doesn't give HDR support. So please correct that, the phone is meant to be with clean UI without bloatware, not because 3rd party apps did not make any offers to Nothing, but because Nothing refuses those offers and adheres to its clean software policy even in budget phones

Oxygen OS is lot mature and functionally rich. Though i acknowledge oxygen OS and color OS are kind of the same now, but still, oxygen OS is miles ahead of nothing OS. Nothing OS is just very different. It's got small quirks that excite you . But that's about it

The camera is not that good at taking day shots. But somehow it is really good at taking night shots. Maybe an update could fix it.

Cameras are really sub par. But the overall experience was still good as I'm currently using it. One more thing is, the monthly security updates are quite slow. Even my 3 years old Galaxy A52 still gets securitu patches on time.
Samsung has always been big on security. Even today they continue to work on their proprietary Knox security to ensure high security checks. Nothing has a long way to go before they get to the levels of Samsung and Apple

The fast battery drain is a serious issue for this phone. 99% of the users are raising complains about the issue. Nothing should fix this issue ASAP.

I really hate their trick on this phone. They know people will like the white colour more and they make it available only in the higher version. Calculating with the charger price it's almost about 30k.
And then I also thought of service centres,then my decision changed and chose Nord CE 4 instead.
Still I love it's software and I'm little sad I had to choose another phone.

I am using this phone since its launch and tell you its awesome experience in this price segment. Especially the UI which is far better than all other brands.
Greenline issue had been sorted out long back dont cry. One plus 11 series hardly faced bugs

This phone's processor doesn't seem to give as power it should nothing might have done optimised it for better battery and thermals which is a good thing for most of the cases but they should give a performance mode kind of a thing where you can unleash its full potential without caring a lot about battery, this may not be a necessary feature but would be helpful for some

The only real downside of this phone is the charger not being included in the box .

I don't know why but all the reviews I've seen so far say it looks premium. But I don't find the design premium at all. Its back panel does not look like glass back at all. It is clear that it is made of plastic. So why is it being said that it looks like glass back? The design looks very cheap.

If they include 45w charger and protective case in the box, then phone 2A may become a good buy.

This review doesn’t make sense as ur trying to compare this phone to flagship performance. I agree the phone is not the best, but for 24k this is a good phone considering the overall experience with the clean ui and software
I never compared to a flagship.
iQOO offers more performance for less price.
Moto edge 40 offers more durability for the same price.
Nord CE 3 (and even upcoming CE4) offers better OS, and cameras for the same price.
Galaxy A35 series offers far superior software & ecosystem for the same price.
I have agreed in the video, that this phone offers a better design than all phones at the same price - but design is the one thing, you will get bored of in time and that's when you'll be left looking for good performance, good software, good cameras.
I kinda felt u did in the beginning of the vid but thts just my opinion. I agree iqoo may offer better performance but, it has ads and I feel nothing os is better, and everyone knows abt the moto problems with the updates. I also feel like the nothing phone is just well rounded and doesn’t stand out amazingly well in any category but good in all categories instead of oly focusing on one. The samsung eco system is definitely better but most people don’t really have anything in the eco system (as in other products). And I think one plus is also very good but personally I just prefer the nothing
