I think what made the older F&F movies so special is the use of Japanese cars. Any movie about steet racing will always have their characters drive muscle cars and such. But in F&F, almost every main character is driving a Japanese sports car while the exotic supercars and American muscle cars are reserved for the villains
It's very difficult to film high speed chases, you need so much room and the faster you go the harder it is to record. I would imagine this to be a filming limitation rather than cars capabilities.
@@shindukess That’s just how the movie was filmed. While those specific shots might not show an actual R34 (like the Nismo cluster), it’s clear they were intending for it to represent the GTR. The car is right-hand drive, has the blue interior lighting (which none of the other cars in that race-like Suki’s S2000, the Supra, or the RX-7-would have), and they overlaid GTR audio for those scenes. It’s all meant to keep the illusion of the R34 alive, even if the interior details don’t match perfectly.
