The Landcruiser build was what brought me to your channel. I’m glad you’re going to finish it, even if it’s not how you originally planned on doing it. Thanks for your honesty. We each have to stay true to ourselves.
Oh wow, I was wondering what happened. I had been going through your videos the past year or so as I was looking for a 40 of my own. Not having any experience wrenching, your videos provided a wealth of knowledge. I finally settled on a '68. In any case welcome back and thanks for all the videos!
Great to hear again from you. I love your complete restoration of the old landcruiser and I watch all the videos, I also understand your new approach for the Landcruiser restoration addicts like me, I will watch them all, thanks for the update
Similar story here. I bought my 77 in 2010 just wanting the truck to drive, but kept getting deeper into a restoration. I now have a chassis that is almost rolling with everything painted and new zinc plating. The body is pretty rough though and I can’t really do that kind of work. Even though your body work videos were inspiring I like your new approach and totally agree with it. When it’s complete you’ll have a truck with character and it’ll be mechanically sound. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
I have a 1971 Karmann Ghia I’m working on. I used the Eastwood internal frame treatment on the chassis tunnel and the rocker panels/heater channels. On the rocker/heater panels I first treated it with some Ospho. I really liked the Eastwood product. It was very easy to use and seemed to do a great job. Use it and don’t worry about it, it will probably outlast us. Great channel and glad to see you back
Thanks for the great video. I have a 1970 and I am just starting on a restoration. I will be scouring your videos for the 1972 and this 1967 also. Thanks for posting them and for the info on this video
Very cool videos! I totally understand why you pivoted the way you did with that project. It was cool to see all the great work you did. Looking forward to seeing this one up and running. Cheers
Happy to see you taking on a new UA-cam project. I am sure it will ultimately result in a great FJ40 (for you) and lots of super hi-quality videos (for us globally).
Oh man excited to see anothe land cruiser video in your feed! You west coast guys really luck out with rust free cars…. I thought the last one was even a good starting point! Keep the videos coming
It is so good to see you back making videos! I love your work because you are so talented and do great work. It’s also good to see Walter! I’m sure this LC is going to turn out great!
Wow,are you a professional mecanic? Cant imagine myself doing that. Have a project right now with a smll old car for my daughter, but not at that level!!
Are you going to sell the other tub that you repaired,? Did you have issues putting the other tub back on the frame? Or did you never get that far along
Praise Jesus! Back to FJ40 content! Good and sound decision… Hopefully you can sell off all the work. You’ve already done on the previous body and frame and maybe recoup some of your money back. It will be worth it to somebody who’s in much worse situation than you.
would u be willing to help me out and sell me a few small pieces of the doner fj?...i need a 4x4 shifter..the tool box below the seat ..engine harness. .the side glass and a few other pieces

Very cool! Enjoy!
It's good to see Walter getting better, the sweetheart. 🥰🥰🥰
glad to have you back! a finished project is ALWAYS better than a FOREVER project.
Great Just great. The people down the hill had one but it was 1967 and I was 15. It was very cool. Then and now. Thanks!
"The right decision for me" has a lot of depth to it.
That's all that matters is what works best for you.
I get that.

Looking forward to the ear to ear grin when you finally drive one! I prefer/recommend topless

Great score! For me personally, combining the best of both trucks is definitely the right way to go. Hopefully, you'll be driving this very soon!!
Glad you're back ...love your stuff
Always great to get updates from you. Looking forward to the first drive.
Man I want those doors and hard top lol. Way to keep the original motor it is a beast.
I think your reasoning on this project is well thought out. You do excellent work and excellent videos. But need more Walter.
Nice! Good work!
Always love your builds and the choices you make when at a crossroad. The FJ 40 is a classic and timeless

Do what works for you, can't wait to see the results.
Very cool videos!

On behalf of us FJ40 brethren…Don’t call it an FJ (lols) 😅
@@thebluep0tat0 guilty as charged... inattention to detail, sloppy and insensitive. will correct it.

Walter!
God idea.👍
Olá, estou feliz que tenhas retomado a ideia do land cruiser, estou na torcida para que saia um belo carro.
Yes! Love the LC
The wait was worthed. Could you show how the fuel injection works? Thanks.
It makes more sense to restore that Land Cruiser when I did that mimi,
NIIICE!
I drove a brand new one of these off the show room floor in the late 70’s
Me too. In April 1971. I still have it.
Wow,are you a professional mecanic? Cant imagine myself doing that. Have a project right now with a smll old car for my daughter, but not at that level!!
This is just a hobby. I’m not a mechanic, but I have always liked taking things apart 👍
What you described here is the reason people buy aluminum bodies from Aqualu for fj40s
I bought the Land Cruiser from this guy.
They have more soul when left unfinished.
Are you going to sell the other tub that you repaired,? Did you have issues putting the other tub back on the frame? Or did you never get that far along
I already sold the other tub. I put it back on the frame and sold it along with the rest of the 72 body and 67 drivetrain
Did want to see a full resto, So sorry I'm out on this one.
You do some really great work. Are you a mechanic by trade?
No, but I’ve been taking things apart my whole life
Looking forward to your next video.
👍👍✌️
Was wondering what happened with this one!

Get a new body for the now left over chassis.
You could have bought a aluminum tub new

Sorry I already sold the 72. I don’t have any parts left
@@Jerod_Helt ok thanks
