I started making this cardigan over a month ago but it's finally finished. I had no problems with making it, even though I'm quite new to crocheting. Thank you so much for this tutorial
I’m so close to finishing mine! My boyfriend is the swiftie in the relationship and he’s going to see her in may so I’m making him a Red era cardigan for the show!
Loved the pattern and the tutorial but mine turned out too long. I did M/L as M is usually my size but its bit too big. Now i cant turn back as im making the sleeves 😢
hi i really love your video and i wonder how do we make smaller diamond stitch like 1989 tv cardigan? do you mind to make a video how to alter the diamond stitch size ? thank you sm for your hard work it helps me a lot
You can make it smaller by making the stitches less, I made the diamond cables in 18 stitches. Maybe in the future I will make another tutorial for smaller sizes with smaller diamond cables 😊
@@hotchick1233931 To make the sleeve more narrow and similar to the original I did 64 stitches instead of 70 she does. I did 6 dc where she did 8, and 4 where she did 5 for the first 32 rows (xs/s version).
Anyone have this problem? I’m doing the decrease for the Diamond stitch (xs/s) but I have 6 stitches inside of the Diamond instead of 0 (or 1) I’m on row 33 so I’m not sure what I did wrong here, any suggestions?? (Not sure if it matters or not but I have 2 diamonds made)
Hi Bev. I bought your pattern and just ordered yarn. As I am waiting for it to arrive, I've been watching through the tutorial. I have a QUESTION... When you're working on the sleeves why do you turn it like with the panels and not just keep crocheting in a spiral? Is there a certain reason or can I just keep repeating row one with the few variations?
I turn my work because I’m using the same stitch pattern like my cables from the back panel (this way I don’t show again how to do it). I didn’t yet tried the continuous spiral, how it look like the same, but you can try it maybe it works the same. I suggest to still slip stitch then chain to start your next row.
@@CROCHETBYBEV Hi Bev tysm!! I have another question: for the XL-2XL back panel (I have started it now), it seems the amount of rows doesn't add up to a full diamond at the end, or am I just really bad as math?
I’m not sure what to do if you’re following the tutorial exactly but I had this same problem and just decided to do the sleeves separately, then sewed it on
It seems I don't have my measurements correct :( I did m/l as xs/s would of been tight, but I've been mistaken. I can't go back now, I've finished all panels and working on the sleeve, I should of measure it, smh
I personally am planning on blocking mine, because its not super long, however, you can always add more rows to your own if you want yours to be a bit longer!

How to decrease diamond part I little confused
You made it absolutely beautiful but why did you changed the sleeves, like its plain sleeve and you made puff sleeve
Also wishing it was a normal sleeve

Which tutorial is easier, the older pattern or this one? Please help
Definitely this newer one, is less outdated and better explained, plus it looks better
How long is your cardigan ?mine turnd out to be a cropped version of the ts cardigan so idk what to do😅

Pls make lover cardigaann ❤❤❤❤
would 272grams of yarn be enough to complete this final part of the tutorial for M/L?
i'm making the xs/s rn and i have used 200g for one sleeve alone

How long did you finish the cardigan all in all?
i started the sleeves with the panels still on the wrong side but when i turn the panels around the sleeve is on the wrong side what do i do?
I’m not sure what to do if you’re following the tutorial exactly but I had this same problem and just decided to do the sleeves separately, then sewed it on
Only the panels on the wrong when doing the foundation row, when you start your row 1 it should be in the right side

😍😍
What size of cardigan you are making in this video ?
Hi! It’s the xs-s size
14:55
31:10
Did you block your cardigan? I want to know if the picture in your thumbnail is the original length or if you have block your cardigan.
I personally am planning on blocking mine, because its not super long, however, you can always add more rows to your own if you want yours to be a bit longer!
@@lisaprins6154 Thanks
Tysm for this amazing tutorial🫶🏻💘 I’m definitely going going to make it but can you say how much yarn you ended up using ?
I used approximately 720-750grams for the size xs-s, you can check the other sizes it’s in the video, timestamp in the description.
Is it possible to follow this pattern but use the sleeve pattern from the original video?
That’s what I did and it worked, I used a lot of things from the old video too, like the front panels
