Warbreaker is a peculiar book, huh? Well, let's dive into it together, because this book hurt me and jokes must be made.
Don't watch if you didn't read Warbreaker. The book is heavily spoiled.
Keep in mind this video expresses my opinion only and in no way attacks anybody else's.

Vasher just suddenly stopping to drop massive lore on investiture was great. Romance stories aren't my favorite genre but this was funny with plenty of Cosmere science facts that kept me energized throughout the whole book
I laughed like an idiot when Lightsong commanded the squirrel
Warbraker is hands down my favorite in terms of raw, powerful, emotional climax. I literally had to close the book, and take a walk, whispwring "holy sh*t, _I_ am a _god_ " and imagining an entire castle blowing up with an army of cloth. Also my favorite twist ever with the statues. Tho I'm not sure that in the hundreds of years they stood there, nobody spoke the right words in the right sequence around them. They're in public squares, for kelek's sake. Someone sometime would have spoken the words and awaken one of them accidentally.
Commands require intent, not just the right command
Lightson's sacrifice is my favorite moment in the cosmere. The way he doesn't even hesitate. He has his realization, and then immediately gives up his life. Just speaks to what a good, beautiful man he was. My grapes are not okay just thinking about it. Also, Vivenna is my favorite, but I'm a sucker for a character who starts crappy and becomes better. Easily my favorite trope.

I've read somewhere that Blushweaver's past life was actually a spy for Hallandren who died with the knowledge of an usurpation. She was endowed (*hint hint*) to live again and stop it. This became the main reason behind her political schemes. Blushweaver was supposed to be who we thought Lightsong would be, lol.
Not quite. She was a merchant wh owas killed for exposing some criminal colleagues. All returned gain a vision of the future when they die and are offered the chance to Return in order to change it, but they won't remember the vision until the very moment they'll be able to chang it. Blushweaver's vision was of T'Telir falling to a ninvading army, and her subconscious goal was to prevent that from happening, hence why she was so scared of Idris.
I like that Warbreaker and Mistborn are now YA Fantasy trope plots. Mistborn came out 2 years before the Hunger games triggered the YA dystopian genre boom. Warbreaker came out many years before the "girl is forced to marry magical king to save her people - basically a B&B retelling" became popular.
I'm the weirdo who has this as his favorite cosmere book. What can I say, I'm a sucker for romance. Great review!!

hahahaha! I just read Warbreaker a few days ago, and I can't with this review 😂 - the part in which Susebron was just very intensly watching as the legit method to have a baby, was beyond me!
"Just send him Blushweaver" OMFG I lost it...... that was amazing. Although, if the goal is to teach him how ba-bie iz formed... might not help as he;ll not be sure which of the many, many things she showed him leads to that specific outcome. However, one bit of added brilliance to this is, as stupid as no one telling Suse how to make baby, and then telling Siri not to do anything but what the God King wants of her seems to getting the kid they want....... remember who was the one telling Siri not to do anything unless Suse tells her to, while knowing he doesn't know what to do.
Yeah.....the guy who didn't want them to get a kid and wanted this whole thing to fall apart!
And THANK YOU!!!! Someone else who doesn't like Alexa! Hey, if he's going to call one sister Siri, I'm calling the other Alexa! She's is just, so wilfully ignorant and so condescendingly smug and self satisfied about how much better she is then everyone else.
But we also two amazing characters, Lightsong is my lovely snarky boi, and I SO want a crossover between him and Harry Dresden. And Stabby is just amazing, yes Nightblood saying "Would you like to kill some evil?" makes me think of him as Clippy's more homicidal cousin.
And yeah, this story was just a lot of fun with some amazing twists and moments!
I first read Warbreaker when I was 11, Vivenna was my favorite character and judging by other people's response to that, that's not normal so idk
I wouldn't say it's not normal. I don't know about others, but personally, I despise Vivenna because her behavior reminded me of real life people that were really not good to be around 🤷🏽♀️
I think she's probably relatable to some people.
Warbreaker is my favorite Cosmere book so far, though one of the Secret projects sounds like it’s got potential to steal that title. Sando is iffy at writing romance, but he knows how to make a good, sweet couple.

Read this, favorite character was Vivenna from the first chapter, only liked her more as it went on. No seriously, Vivenna is an excellent character. Not that any of the characters are particularly poor, I love Susebron and Siri, and their relationship feels the most natural out of any of the Cosmere relationships. I just have a soft spot for a character who starts out in the wrong, pays the price, and comes out the better for it.
Vivenna IS an excellent character. Her progression is peak writing. I'm guessing I took it personally when she was still a poopoohead because I met actual people like her and they made me feel quite like crap :')
Siri couldn't get pregnant anyway. Susebron didn't really need to know how to do the deed. The only important thing was that the people would believe in her pregnancy.
Warbreaker was the last Cosmere book I read, so I knew the the marriage with the god king would be fine, because all of the arranged marriages work out in Brandons books :P

Yeah, Warbreaker is like my second lowest book of the cosmere (which doesn't say much since they're all awesome!) before Elantris. I have to read them again some time.

I had a work training. Found this book while bored on sandersons website. Devoured the whole book in 7-8 hours. A pleasant surprise. Loved it.
I really thought Lightsong was Wit for most of the book, even when Hoid actually shows up I was like "nah... It's Lightsong"
Also the moment when I realized Azure is Vivenna blew my fucking mind

How have I only seen your channel now? Regardless, Warbreaker is a fantastic book. I think it was my third re-read when I realised how important it is Cosmere wise. As a lone book, it's still brilliant.
And yeah, Vivenna is cartoonishly dumb for far too much of the book. Knowing how she ends up elsewhere in the Cosmere should make an interesting character evolution book for Branderson.
