I agree. Klay thompson wasnt projected to be a star as well coming out. But hes seriously making a case for that now. Hope my lakers draft him. With nash and kobe mentoring this kid, i wont bet against his future
At UCLA he was asked to play off the ball with Kyle Anderson running the point. In Minnesota he will be asked to play both guard positions. In summer league play he showed the ability to create for others and himself. He has excellent handles and can create his own shot.
yo lol thats exactly how am feeling man...theres a good chanve he goes to philly at ten ...and sixers have third pick....plus they have carter williams...if he goes to sixers that will me my second team or where ever he goes lol
Talented, yes, but he's far from contributing at the NBA level. Extremely raw and has tunnel vision with the ball in his hands. His highlight reel dunks and athleticism make him look like a better basketball player than he really is. He'd be better off going to a good team where he can develop and be taught how to really play the game at the NBA level.
What's intriguing is that he's ridiculously athletic and that's what got nba scouts salivating over him reminded me if Westbrook back when he played for ucla a transition nightmare for other teams and instant offense
I watched him play in a random game I know it was one of these cause when I seen him dunk during the game I knew he was goin to the league just off a fucking dunk tho
Blake Howard no I did I follow all the ucla players who went to the college into the NBA. Many didn't know that Lavine didn't actually start with ucla.
Jeffrey Riley it's a very pure shot. Lightning quick release and great balance, even when he's "off" balance. It's also very natural and he can change his release point when he needs to. This kid could be spectacular with the right attitude, coaches and teammates.
What's a very pure shot? If he has a lightning quick release then so does every other SG in the league. It's quick but that's about it. I like him as a prospect but you're so far up his butt right now
shooting, crazy athletic...quick, fluid...probably needs a little more muscle for the NBA grind or Euroleague grind...but damn...explosive!!! can he handle the rock????? looking on youtube for vids ..can't find any with him doing such except on the solo break
10 years later and 3 of the UCLA players are still in the league and greatly contributing (2 averaging 20+ ppg). Alford wasted the talent he had. If only Cronin could recruit/sell like Alford (or Lavin).
I come from the future to say that he is gonna be the best player for the Chicago Bulls and an All-Star, and he will become a better player than Jabari Parker and Wiggins together.
he just had one of the best combine starts of an player and moved up on a lot of mock drafts and he'll only continue to move up. Besides he is too talented to pass on for two late round picks. He is being compared to russell westbrook, any gm that would pass on someone compared to a player like that for two late round picks is an idiot. I say he doesn't fall past philly at 10.
With no chance of drafting Jabari Parker, hope my C's draft this combo guard with the 6th pick. I think Marcus Smart wouldn't mesh well with Rondo either.
Joshua Reyes As a SCORING COMBO GUARD, like Russell Westbrook. I'm sure if he was the starting PG in the NBA he would average more assist, probably around 4 per game. At UCLA he came off of the bench, as a scorer, like a James Harden for the Thunder.
PG?!?. Where in the hell did you see him break the defense down and set up an open teammate??? The only PG play I saw on this video was from Kyle Anderson.
Max Prime I like Kyle Anderson because of his length, he's a 6'9" pure PG. I'm saying I would want LaVine as a scoring combo guard playing PG, it's easier to facilitate when the defense identifies you as a scorer.
They project LaVine to be drafted in early 1st round and Kyle Anderson in the late 1st or early second. I think Anderson is a much better player, he plays like a Boris Diaw and I think he can be better.
Neither of those comparisons is right. Quite frankly, there isn't a good comparison currently in the NBA for LaVine. Nobody has his athleticism combined with his outside stroke. His game is most similar to Klay Thompson but he's far more athletic and isn't quite as skilled defensively.
those 2 are easy 10 ppg in the nba... he's one of the youngest in the draft. basketball is science nowadays... with good hops and crazy range this kid can be a superstar by the time he's 22 or 23
he has as much potential as any guards in this draft... with athleticism like that he can also be a lockdown defender if he works hard and builds up more muscles
He is nice, but is he tough enough for the NBA? I have seen guys like this come and go and they arent built for the NBA. I would tell him to get stronger and concentrate on his body for 82 games and Maybe the playoffs. Its a grind and him being as skinny as a tooth pick wont help matters none. I like him still, he needs to get bulkier and stronger. He look like he could break anytime!!!
Agreed but remember another bag of bones from UCLA? Doubt this kid will be able to shoot that well but him and Wiggins if placed in the same bacc court will be fun to watch for sure
Agreed but remember another bag of bones from UCLA? Doubt this kid will be able to shoot that well but him and Wiggins if placed in the same bacc court will be fun to watch for sure
Guys I understand where you are coming from, but today's NBA greatly differs from those of yesteryear! You must properly train your body for a grueling 82 game season. Today's NBA will toss him like a rag doll! You see Anthony Davis? He don't look like he did when he was at Kentucky! That dude look like he gained at least 20 more pounds. You gotta build up and eat properly to maintain yourself. Some of learn the easy and some of us learn the hard way.
This kid is so underrated in this draft. He will be a star.... mark my words
I agree. Klay thompson wasnt projected to be a star as well coming out. But hes seriously making a case for that now. Hope my lakers draft him. With nash and kobe mentoring this kid, i wont bet against his future
ur right.
Dang what a prediction
Love your future telling.
👌🏽
this kid is gonna be a hidden jewel of this draft class
True
Factual

@@dimitrijetucovic1307 you were right
@@blakemendoza8838 I knew it, now he plays for my Bulls and i'm loving it!
1:09 "If there is dunk contest..." you get what you wished for. Amazing Zach!
This guys is a beast!! he is one of the most underrated players in the draft give him a few years and he will be one of the best in nba!
I love you
This aged well
2021 he's playing like an MVP
This kid will have a great future in the NBA. Fact!
Indeed
The most underrated player in the draft! Watch out
At UCLA he was asked to play off the ball with Kyle Anderson running the point. In Minnesota he will be asked to play both guard positions. In summer league play he showed the ability to create for others and himself. He has excellent handles and can create his own shot.
He reworked his jump shot so well. Always been a fierce competitor. Great trait
My Favorite player in the draft...if my Lakes don't get him I will definitely be a fan of his wherever he goes...going to be a great player
yo lol thats exactly how am feeling man...theres a good chanve he goes to philly at ten ...and sixers have third pick....plus they have carter williams...if he goes to sixers that will me my second team or where ever he goes lol
Welcome to the wolves new fan
He's got an awkward shot and great dunks. This is a under radar potential 20pts 7rebs type a player. Very confident
i hope people dont sleep on this kid, hes one of the most talented players in this draft I think
no

Zach lavine and kyle Anderson like the kd and westbrook of college
Lol
They spoke in the dunk contest! They knew his future
On
I'm not sure what it is, but there is something intriguing about this kid. On the right team (transition team) he could be a star.
Match him with Ricky Rubio. Highlight reels! :)
Or Rondo, or Chris Paul.
Jody Wagner He looks so similar to Corey Brewer. Yikes
LARRY113Z Lol! .Brewer is developing slowly but surely
***** Lol! Good for you. It's all about hope, man.
Damn those dunks were explosive! If Lakers have two picks he would be one of them.
Who's here after his retirement? He had a great career 🐐
???
4 rings 1 MVP hof for sure.
He's gona kill it with the Wolves
With wiggins as well..... the Bounce Brothers are gonna shred it this season
Doorman these takes didn’t age well
here cuz i missed his old jumper
46 inch vertical
oh lawdddd
Noel/MCW + Parker/LaVine = A dynasty in Philly. Sam Hinkie has a chance to build this team like OKC, from the ground up.
He's changed hit shot quite a bit over the years
I'm go say it! My Lakers messed up not taking this dude. Randell gonna be a career 2nd stringer and this dude will become a Mamba. Yep, I said it!
Reminds me of a smaller but less skilled KD. He can score and is very athletic. Will need to improve in some areas but he is great
the lakers HAVE to take him
Too bad!! My team took him!! Wolves nation
Ancaam Ahmed He can always change his mind
My favorite rookie this year
most of yall didn't know who he was until the dunk contest
Anyone who follows college basketball knew who he was before he was in the NBA...
Naw most people would have heard of him before
I knew who he was. UCLA is my favorite college team
Goodness, that shooting motion is smooth.
lmao. are you serious? that shit is hideous
Ya I agree with Gabriel on that
Jeffrey Riley it's a very pure shot. Lightning quick release and great balance, even when he's "off" balance. It's also very natural and he can change his release point when he needs to. This kid could be spectacular with the right attitude, coaches and teammates.
Compared to Kevin Martin, its smooth.
What's a very pure shot? If he has a lightning quick release then so does every other SG in the league. It's quick but that's about it. I like him as a prospect but you're so far up his butt right now
hes like a klay thompson with super bounce
shooting, crazy athletic...quick, fluid...probably needs a little more muscle for the NBA grind or Euroleague grind...but damn...explosive!!!
can he handle the rock????? looking on youtube for vids ..can't find any with him doing such except on the solo break

my mans just predicted the future right there
Bruh hella raw 46 vert!?? Insane!
Welcome to the Lakers.
I pray to God that the Bulls draft him....we already passed up on hardaway Jr. 😤😤😤 #BullsNation
And the bulls GM. would tell you if you asked Tony Snell is a better player!! like we are blind.
You got him
This kid has some Michael Cooper in him too.
A basket scoring machine!
That last shot. Damn.
Hops like Gerald Green, Jumpers remind me Kyle Korver/Rashard Lewis
Kinda reminds me of Gerald Green
Could see him being a Jamal Crawford type. If he learns how to drive more consistently and break down the D, the sky is the limit for Lavine
Chicago needs to take him with the 19th pick.
At least we got him now, he’s a star now
Can anyone confirm if it's a travel in 0:48? I cant really tell.
RenaissanceGamer yup! not called tho
+david H no
he came off the bench for us(ucla), so he wasnt able to show everything. he has to improve some parts of his game, especially shot selection
yep, thats why he left, he knew that alford wasnt going to play him enough. we never got to see him play at his best
10 years later and 3 of the UCLA players are still in the league and greatly contributing (2 averaging 20+ ppg). Alford wasted the talent he had. If only Cronin could recruit/sell like Alford (or Lavin).
The freshman its just so funny in college or high school seeing a freshman punish upperclassmen
Kyle Anderson is highly underrated
I come from the future to say that he is gonna be the best player for the Chicago Bulls and an All-Star, and he will become a better player than Jabari Parker and Wiggins together.
Welcome to chicago! Lavine Drose back court equals nasty
what? this guy is easily a top 10 pick/
not according to nearly every mock, also ever hear of trading up? bulls have 2 top 20 picks..
he just had one of the best combine starts of an player and moved up on a lot of mock drafts and he'll only continue to move up. Besides he is too talented to pass on for two late round picks. He is being compared to russell westbrook, any gm that would pass on someone compared to a player like that for two late round picks is an idiot. I say he doesn't fall past philly at 10.
the 16th and 19th pick could easily get you the 10 th pick from a team like philly who wants to stock pile young talent in a loaded draft..
its possible. if i were a chicago fan i would want them to use those picks for kevin love though. right?
3:40 cheering squad be like :"stop scoring lavine"
Curry 2.0 Bulls please dont pass on this kid. I hope we get this kids he is very athletic and with a good shot and plays defense.
Hmmm
1. PTI brought me here 2. If I had 2 first round picks I would draft him second.
He look more relax, but i guess nba is so much
Sixers at 10 he will play SG at 6"5 i see Ray Allen in him but faster. If the sixers get Zach and Jabari Parker Wow MCW Nerlens Noel
This didn't age too well
HE HAS WESTBROOK DUNKS
Very like lavine
I want him to go to the lakers
With no chance of drafting Jabari Parker, hope my C's draft this combo guard with the 6th pick. I think Marcus Smart wouldn't mesh well with Rondo either.
hes the second klay tompson
more like Gerald Green
the fact that he doesn't drive the lane concerns me
This kid is nice, I wonder if he'll play PG or SG??? I'd keep him at PG as a scoring combo guard.
1.8 assist per game for a PG? hmmm....
Joshua Reyes As a SCORING COMBO GUARD, like Russell Westbrook. I'm sure if he was the starting PG in the NBA he would average more assist, probably around 4 per game. At UCLA he came off of the bench, as a scorer, like a James Harden for the Thunder.

Henrik Avetisyan Yeah I'd say Gerald Green. Great Athleticism, good stroke but below average handle.
Henrik Avetisyan A young Kobe
Fox 5Kobe yeah I thought that too I didn't realize he had handles and lil midrange. he's tight.
Nah he’s killing it rn
Can't teach that 7 foot wingspan lmao
Celtics need him
Had em coming off the bench for th coach son. Steve Alford has been paying for his crimes since
Like lavine
no he is probably going to denver with the 11th pick
while this kid undoubtedly has potential, this vid made me understand why the spurs took kyle anderson. Typical Spurs type
Celtics!
If the 76ers get him at 10 and draft wiggins at 3....in 2years they might be over for everybody in the nba
How did a player with his talent put up such low numbers? It's not like UCLA was loaded with talent.
Coach played his son a lot at pg
can this guy do anything else than dunk and spot up shooting?
those 2 are easy 10 ppg in the nba... he's one of the youngest in the draft. basketball is science nowadays... with good hops and crazy range this kid can be a superstar by the time he's 22 or 23
I haven't seen much of this kid, but he is an intriguing prospect
he has as much potential as any guards in this draft... with athleticism like that he can also be a lockdown defender if he works hard and builds up more muscles

dont you think hes gonna have to create his own shot??

Ironic is not the word for it. Maybe prescient.
Should've been an All STar
I want to see that missed dunk against duke.
Lonzo ball big cousin
LAKERS!!
He gots bounce & can shoot the ball... if he dribbles good he's gonna be a problem

He did not pass the ball once in that video lol he pg right
Not sayin he is but he reminds me of Russell Westbrook
not liking his sub par rebounding and assists. He has a slim body and reminds of a reggie miller type with his sharp outside shooting
LaVine is an excellent 3pt shooter....and cherry picker.
Celtics should get him
play better than andrew wiggins
6th man at best he seems like he would be a good spark off the bench but not a star
He has all the tools except the biggest one. Below average Handles!!!! If I was him all I would do is work on them handles.
Sixers
Don't forget to subscribe for more videos!
Meh. Great hops but I'm thinking Thabo From OKC.
Dunk, 3pt and nothing
All he doin is shooting 3s and dunking on fast breaks.
all he does... I met him he said he is good in 2k cuz all he does is dunk and shoot 3s
