Obviously you wash your own face and eyes but you can’t get it as clean as they do in the video which is why I said a deep cleaning. I’ve seen many places that don’t offer a cleaning even if you ask and pay more.
I feel like I never get mine this squeaky clean. Granted i don’t wear make up everyday but still. I get nervous I’m going to mess my lashes up every time I clean them especially seeing as though I’ve twisted a few around the wrong way before 🤦🏽♀️

Shalyn M exactly. I know many can relate cz lash lifts are so low maintenance and feel cleaner especially with makeup. Not negative at all just preference. They last around a month and I started doing them at home on myself and a few friends. (Shhh that’s my secret I save a lot of money!)
If you have thick/long lashes that go straight down lifts are amazinggg for that. They open up the eye and make it look less droopy. I can’t remember the last time I used mascara because I don’t need it at all!

My lash girl makes me wash my lashes every morning and night with baby shampoo and I never have any issues with lashes falling. Maybe she should try that on top of her normal face wash routine. I wear a lot of makeup too and find that it helps.

I think some of that is the mites we have on our eyes, the residue looks exactly like it. The hide around our eye ducts and look like crusty stuff.
By the time the cleaning is done she coulda had a whole new set...

yeah... no. She’d have to remove the lashes using a solution, clean them, and then do a whole new set which takes hours. This probably took 20-30 min

This looks like a buildup of debris, caused by eyelash mites, that accumulates at the root of the lashes. Before you get grossed out, chances are you have these mites too. Around 80% of people have demodex mites living on their faces, lashes, inside your nose and ears. They eat the sebum (oil) that is naturally present on your skin. A buildup can occur on the eyelashes & happens more frequently on people with eyelash extensions. They're not sure why some people are more prone to this buildup. It could be due to the extensions being in the way of getting them cleaned properly or because the individual isn't cleaning them adequately maybe due to worries of removing the lashes accidentally or another reason, perhaps genetic. Giving your lashes a good clean, now and then is a good practice for everyone to do, especially if you have extensions. If you have a buildup of mites, the easiest way to get rid of them is to use Tea Tree oil shampoo. (Baby shampoo is not effective in killing the mites buried/hiding in the eyelash follicle). Mix a couple of drops of Tea Tree shampoo with tap water with your middle fingers. With eyes closed, massage your lids with a medium pressure for 3-5 minutes. Rinse with clean water and dry with a towel. In the beginning, do this lid scrub twice daily for 1 month and then once daily thereafter. In addition, wash the hair, the face, nostrils, the external ear and the neck with TT shampoo/soap daily. Wash bedding and pillow cases with hot water and a few drops of tea tree essential oil, then put in the dryer. In one month you should be free of demodex mites. Great comment!!! I didn't know this! My dog had demodex as a pup and he was in a lot of discomfort. I wear a lot of makeup and have very itchy eyes. I guess it's likely i might have it too. I'll do what you suggested.

Was looking for this comment. That build up is a major sign of demodex because with extensions you cant properly clean your eyes. I clean my eyes every night and morning ever since I found out how much debris and bacteria builds up on there. Nasty.

I wash my own lashes with baby shampoo to decrease the chances to get an eye infection. It helps a lot!
you might want to try an oil makeup remover! they come in liquid or balm form and they do amazing job at dissolving makeup! and u can gently rub your finger on your lashes without pulling on your skin around the eyes to get it all off! i used a few, from clinique to yves rocher to korean brands and they all work well and are so easy to wash off because they lather up! or there are micellar waters with oils that you mix together (like the yellow garnier one!) that work similarly! cleaning your own lashes the way the lady in the video is can be tricky when you’re doing it on yourself and if you’re not practiced you can get detergent in your eyes or stab yourself haha but if you want to try it, go for it!

I saw a lady with lash extensions - her eyelids where It meet up with the extensions was like swollen and red and it looked bad. I wanted to ask if it was infected .... but I didn’t know how to bring up that conversation without it being rude so I didn’t say anything 😰 I hope she got it checked out 🤷♀️

Watch out with growth serum though. The active ingredient in growth serums that really work can cause you to form dark spots in your irises. Research well before using those serums. The active ingredient was originally made and used for people with glaucoma.
Use jojoba or coconut oil! I’ve heard it works really well

Christina Soto It’s not but it’s unnecessary. People give facials without gloves & stylists wash hair without gloves. So long as her hands are washed it’s fine
Christina Soto they tend to get in the way a lot and as long as she keeps her hands clean, it doesn’t really matter. It’s not like she’s shoving her finger in the clients eyes.

That's too much for me strip lashes or none. Even if I put on those it's just for two weeks an off maybe less too. That's why strip lashes are easier. Don't wear it if you can't clean it. Mites will take over your eyes

Wait, I've been doing my lashes close to a year now and every 2 months I personally like to get a fresh set due to cleanliness. I'd LOVE to get my lashes clean like this - I'd even pay for it. Question is, (don't laugh bc I'm really serious) is my tech SUPPOSED TO clean my lashes prior to a refill or at least ask me if I'd like to purchase a clean? You should wear gloves for sanitary reasons.
Exactly LonePine Bride. Some services are done with better precision without gloves. Believe it or not, gloves can get in the way sometimes. Sanitation is key. As a stylist, I do a lot of services with gloves but most I do not. I have never had any problems 😉
I’ve had a lash artist drop sharp tweezers on my face, puncturing my skin.. probably because she was wearing gloves. I’ve never had that happen any other time with any other artist that does not use gloves!

Hi Lauryn, if the guest is a frequent guest we do not charge a fee however in some cases we do depending on the situation, but you are able to charge if you decide to do so!

To those of you hating on how she wears so much makeup, just know that those of us who wear heavy makeup will age better than those who don’t. Why? Because your bare face is being bombarded with UV radiation daily (unless you wear sunscreen and even then sunscreen does NOT protect against damage from visible light, just against UV) , someone who wears a “ton” of makeup will have one thick barrier that light needs to pass through to cause damage. Keep wearing your sunscreen and wearing that thick layer, you’ll look amazing when you’re 50 😇
Leah Henny Makeup creates texture on your skin. If you don’t clean your makeup, their build up on your skin that incites wrinkles. So no ... wearing tones of makeup isn’t that good.

hajera yeah but no.. I get what you mean but no. Traces of powder around your hairline will not age you. Leaving a full face of makeup on your face, sleeping with it on will absolutely age you but that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m talking about the normal skin care routine for the average “heavy makeup” wearer. This is assuming that the person in question is wearing a full face and taking it off before bed. So yeah, someone who wears a full face of of makeup daily will ABSOLUTELY age better than someone who wears nothing. Any aging that happens via pore blockage/skin being overwhelmed by products is NOTHING compared to the aging someone would experience standing under the sun daily. UV radiation literally mutates DNA, and directly inhibits your skins ability to maintain collagen. I am 26, have been wearing heavy makeup since I was 16. My skin is years younger than people my age and even people younger than me and I credit this to wearing makeup daily. Also, a lot of makeup contains zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which are both known to be used in mineral sunscreen. Please don’t spread misinformation

Jessica Maestas Maybe u can tell her to wash her face and eyelids with baby shampoo and a make up brush. And I brush it every morning. Never have any problems and my lashes are very clean everytime I go back

The Opinionated Pug i can imagine they charge extra and give them the full lash time, that way the customer isn’t leaving with naked spots/unfilled areas
She said that for regulars they usually don't charge, however in some cases they do.
If you can’t take care of lashes that are a LUXURY to have them don’t get them
The disposable microbrushes have a lot of plastic.
I hope you guys use wooden ones, if they are available.
