    Usually, rambutan seedlings can grow quite easily in warm tropical equator with moderate to high moisture. Even if you just throw the seeds onto the ground, they general would germinate on their own with enough moisture just from rain. I don't know where you live but if you live outside of the tropical zone that close to the equator, it might be hard to grow them as rambutan trees are really sensitive to the cold. The adult trees wouldn't survive temperature below 50 F. Longan could withstand the cold as long as it's not snowy cold or frost for a little bit.

      Thanks for taking the time to watch & comment. I live down in zone B, Texas. For the tropical plants & trees, I usually will bring them in doors during the winter, otherwise they die😭 maybe I just need to keep trying, in hopes one day I will get it goin'🤞🙏😊😊

    They are not that hard to grow, you just had some miss steps. When they are in the wet paper towel make sure you cover the hole seed with the paper towel. Let the paper towel be damp not sitting in water. Put the container with the seeds in a area with not to much light and when they start to grow don't put them in soil until you have a stem and a top root with side shoots. That what worked for me. Also don't over water the newly planted seedling and if you do they will die.

    You are keeping the seeds in too much water which is why you are having trouble with mold. Wrap them in a slightly damp paper towel, then put it in a plastic snack or sandwich bag. Within a week or 2 you will see it germinate. Your soil looks too wet also. Rambutan so not like that much water. Actually, growing Rambutan is very easy if done right. Hope this helps.

I still have hopes to be able to as well, but if not, I have been successful at growing a longan fruit tree, which is similar in taste, and I'll be fine with that I suppose. That looks like a really tough but fun grow. The insides looked like a jelly bean with all of the candy coating missing and then the core seed was similar to other fruit types with a second casing. I'm sure I haven't even tried to grow that before and a fun idea to try and get to this cold season. Great attempt and info regardless of the outcome. Thanks for the share!

    The seeds are easy to grow but the adult trees are a problem. They can be male, female or hermaphrodite. You have to plant several trees and cross your fingers. Once a hermaphrodite occurs the others are cut down.

    • @CandysGarden
      @CandysGarden  8 місяців тому

      Just curious, have you been successful at growing this from seed? A lot of people tell me it's easy, do this or that, yet, they don't show me they've been successful... I appreciate your view & comment.😊

    • @GreenGardenGuy1
      @GreenGardenGuy1 8 місяців тому +1

      Yes, I find the seedlings pretty easy. I have some coming up in the nursery right now. I plant the seed wet, with the pulp still hanging and on the surface of the soil. Growing the seeds isn't an issue, finding a fruiting tree is the problem. They are huge plants and waiting to see who is hermaphrodite takes a lot of time and space. I was just dumb lucky in the video. ua-cam.com/video/JqxoNUZM7qI/v-deo.html

      First off, thanks so very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to view my video, I truly appreciate it. Lots of trial & error in growing different things. Oh! & love how you noticed my nails as well, I wish I could grow them long again, but it's hard while caring for my elderly mother. You should check out more of my other videos & successes in my garden, it would mean a lot. I'm sorry you're having whatever kind of day/holiday season to "try" to bring others down with you, cause misery loves company, but when a person is going thru far harder times that the person trying to bring negativity, it does NOT faze the one receiving it. If it made you feel good, so be it, I could really care less. Just know, who the real sad person here is-YOU. Stop allowing the Devil to RULE your life. I pity the FOOL you are.
