If those Knipex are the 1262180 model (or similar), good luck with them. I bought a pair and the top blade fell off. The top jaw is glass fiber reinforced nylon and I tried stripping some THHN and the screw pulled the threads from the Nylon. Happened to two pairs now. They worked great when they worked though though.
@@PhillipBailey Yeah..they're not bad when they aren't broken. If you come across wiring with some really stubborn jackets (especially 10-12ga) I would use another tool (if possible). They definitely saved my butt in a tight electrical box.
@jeffgrizzel9499 it still seems sketchy locating an open but it seemed to work here. I'll wait til I've got another use for it. These are the worst type of problems to locate imo.
